Reincarnated Into a Shounen Anime-Chapter 31: How Does That Work?

The morning sun slowly rose from the horizon. Painting the world in orange hue. Sunlight sepped through the open windows. Curtains fluttering slightly by the summer wind. Sounds of waves gently ringing out.

After yesterday’s award ceremony, Alex got his student badge. And all the privileges of being No.1. He had come straight into his assigned dorm, threw his cloths away and went to bed.

There was nothing more fulfilling than sleeping on something you worked hard to get!

He had went to sleep right after. There was no tension of Academy yet because it will start officially after 7 days.

So, Alex slept soundly. But right now, Alex’s waking experience wasn’t so good...

He had his eyes and gazed at the ceiling. His lips pursed in a thin line. His expression blank. Thinking something he had noticed long time ago but today seemed like the day where the thought hit him like a truck.

Making his mind spin few times from the impact before he was forced to think by his own brain.

’I feel lazy. But not sleepy. I feel the lack of drive. But not energy... How does that work?’

Alex right now was having one of those 3 A.M thoughts that rattles your brain. The gears in his brain Turing in light speed, trying to make sense of his situation.

He could sleep and wake up at will. His body somehow became indestructible, strength incomprehensible and speed unimaginable.

Alex had been running on the lie he told himself 4 months ago. But that lie seemed to have ran out of fuel today as he couldn’t keep his curious mind from wandering.

Alex folded his arms and rubbed his chin, recalling the memories from the moment he fell through the wall.

’...That was definitely a dimensional glitch.. then a ’fell’... this could only mean that this is a lower dimension, which is obvious.’

Alex knew of many theories regarding dimensions. In his era, the 26th century, scientists have confirmed existence of higher dimensions. But it wasn’t like everyone had thought it was.

People back in 21st century speculated that higher dimensions from a lower dimensional perspective would be like a constantly shape shifting object that shape shifts for no reason.

But the evidence they found wasn’t like that. The higher dimension they found was stable and perceivable.

And after hundreds of years fo research, scientists came to a conclusion that there are different plans of dimension within a reality. But laws are arguably same everywhere. Regardless of of the dimension your in.

’Which makes my situation even more disturbing. Supposedly I fell from a higher dimension and ended up in an already existing wolrd that has similar rules to a story. But that doesn’t explain why I even survived the fall when I first arrived. Because rules within the reality is same, no matter the plan... unless...’

Alex’s eyes widened with a terrifying thought that made him sit up. His mind raced with all the possibilities of that happening. But the more he thought, the more it made sense.

’I’m from a different reality altogether...!!! A different dimension of reality. The thing everyone tried to find but found something else and gave up...’

"Haha~~"

He couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity but it actually made sense.

’If this a lower dimension, this could not be the 2D reality. In other words, the 3rd dimension and where I’m from is the 4th dimension...’

Alex felt his mind slowly getting overwhelmed until he took a deep breath to calm himself and think rationally.

’It is nothing ground breaking Alex! Your just realising things! No one will care!’

After repeatedly telling himself that, he felt a but calm. He leaned back, his hands supporting his weight.

"So basically, the 4th dimension we tried to find for like 400 years before settling with something lesser was actually our home... then I fell through reality because of dimensional glitch and ended up in a 3D reality. But... not as a 4th dimensional being nor as a 3rd dimensional being. I’m integrated enough to be seen, felt, touched and all those stuff but outside enough to have some leverage over Cause-Effect itself? Absurd..."

Alex shook his head with a receded smile.

"If my life was a story, whoever the author was, did very lazy job for my powers..."

Alex felt it was enough brooding and it was time for some work to be done. Alex felt that there was more then meets the when it comes to his powers but right now, he is too overwhelmed to think about any more trouble some things.

’I will think later...’

Alex got out of the bed. He stretched and went towards the bathroom to shower. He took a towel inside. Minutes later, Alex came out of the shower. He went near his and took the academy badge he got yesterday from the bed side.

Alex tapped on it three times and strings started to stitch itself over his naked body. Before long, Alex was fully clothed.

"Neat. Basically an upgraded version of what old man Preganos gave me. Hmm~ just how rich are these Academy people? ... Not that it matters."

Alex planned to go on a morning walk and familiarise himself with the area he would be staying for a long time.

He went downstairs. Ate the meal prepared before hand by Academy staff. The meal was preserved inside enchanted pots so they tasted fresh.

After that, he exited his two storey mansion mansion with gardens, playground, courtyard and many more facilities. And his house was on top of a hill.

He basically owned the hill now. There was a lack down blow. And it was north east side of the island. All the top students of the Academy live in this area.

From first year to the fourth years. All 400 top students. The area was beautifully decorated and roards marvelously crafted.

Alex walked down his hill. The sun was still rising. He looked around and noted that this area beside the lack is basically a small mountain range.

He was going to the cliff side he has seen from his house. The view from there should be magnificent.

It was behind his Hill. Few minutes of walk.

Alex enjoyed the morning environment as he mad his way towards his destination. Few minutes later, he arrived in the cliff side. And the view was breath taking.

The blue lack water reflecting the light of the morning sun. Wind carrying the refreshing smell of the morning.

Alex inclined on the railing with his hands. He gazed at the view with a soft smile on his face. He involuntarily closed his eyes to enjoy the gentle breeze hitting his face.

He stayed like that and ignored the presence creeping around him. The person, after a while came and stood beside Alex. They seemed to be hesitating.

Alex opened his eyes and looked at the person beside him.

It was an elf with pointy ears and short blue hair and eyes like the lake water. Deep and serene. She seemed deeply troubled by something.

"Can I help you with something miss?"

Alex said and that made the girl flinch and snap her head towards him. She looked up to him and nodded with great difficulty...
