Reincarnated as the Weakest Magical Beast-Chapter 102: Amaras battle second stage (3)
Arventia Online had many, many boss fights, but among the most notorious, Amaras’ battle was always ranked near the top. It wasn’t something players could brute-force with raw stats or numbers alone.
The enemies in this phase were, individually, manageable—not nearly as overwhelming as some late-game bosses. But together? They formed one of the most absurdly dangerous combinations in the entire game! Some veterans even argued that Phase 2 was harder than Phase 3, the actual fight against Amaras himself. And there was a very good reason for that.
First, the Twin Deathguard Knights.
Not only did they possess monstrous AOE swings—wide enough to wipe out an entire party in a single careless moment—they were also heavily armored and boasted ridiculous defenses. But the worst part was the kill condition: you had to defeat both of them simultaneously, or at least within five seconds of one another.
If one twin fell too early, the surviving knight would enter a berserk state, doubling all his stats and turning into a walking raid wipe.
And as if that nightmare wasn’t enough, you had to handle them while enduring the Lich’s relentless spell spam crashing down on your team from behind! Standing at a safe distance, the Lich would fire three simple, yet brutally effective spells.
First were the Flying Skulls of Decay. When they struck a player, they dealt heavy magic damage and released a toxic gas that inflicted Decay. Under this status, the victim suffered damage over time based on their max HP, and all healing received was reduced by a painful 80%! Meaning, even if you had a mountain of HP, if you were hit with Decay and had no cleanse, you were as good as dead within minutes. Even if you managed to block the skulls, the toxic cloud would still burst out on impact.
Next came the Lich’s second attack: World of Decay. It released the same vile miasma directly, spreading it across a massive area. Everything alive inside was instantly inflicted with Decay, and the battlefield became choked in thick, dark smoke that ruined visibility and made positioning a nightmare.
And then there was Hand of Darkness. A simple immobilizing spell, but deadly in this fight. Anyone caught in its range was rooted to the spot, helpless—turned into the perfect chopping block for the Twin Knights’ colossal blades. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
But that still wasn’t all.
Amaras had five loyal Eternal Deathguards. The Twin Knights and the Lich made up only three. The fourth and fifth had yet to reveal themselves, but they were already lurking in the shadows.
The fourth was another mage-type. But unlike the Lich, who specialized in offense and control, this one specialized in healing: an Undead Priest!
Its job was infuriatingly simple: revive its fallen allies. So even if the Knights and the Lich were taken down, if the Priest was left untouched, it could bring them all back, making every ounce of effort completely pointless. Since they were bosses, these undead had practically infinite mana. They could keep that revival loop going forever—until the entire challenger party was wiped out.
That was why Amaras’s dungeon was infamous. One of the hardest. One of the most merciless.
*****
Normally, it would take a full party of no fewer than ten people to push through this phase, working together seamlessly with a flawless strategy.
First, you needed strong warriors to fend off the Twin Deathguard Knights, with enough firepower to kill them within the crucial five-second window. At the same time, the party needed healers working in tandem with debuff removers to handle the Decay status and the Hand of Darkness immobilization.
And on top of all that, you needed at least one person with excellent perception skills. Without that, you would never find the Undead Priest.
After all, every healer needed a way to protect themselves, and the Undead Priest was no exception.
In this fight, there was no better hiding spot than inside the Lich’s decaying smoke. As long as the Priest and the Lich stayed within that cloud, locating and defeating them became insanely difficult.
With all these factors stacked against them, it was nearly impossible to solo this phase. Even in Arventia Online, countless players had tried, and only a few of the most masochistic hardcore players ever succeeded. And that was inside a game, where death wasn’t permanent.
Attempting something like this in reality was pure madness.
But Emilia was different. Because with both the Silvervein and Arzarenia blood flowing through her veins, fate had dealt her nothing short of the ideal hand.

Now that the Lich’s toxin had flooded the battlefield and swallowed Emilia, the Decay debuff began its cruel work. A sickening pressure squeezed at her chest, as if someone were gripping her heart while a thousand biting insects crawled across her skin, stinging with every movement.
It was... infuriatingly painful.
The Hands of Darkness had already coiled around her legs, holding her fast, refusing to let go. To anyone else, this would have been certain death.
But not for Emilia. In fact, she had been waiting for this moment. Once the smoke enveloped the battlefield, she could finally unleash her full power without Mary and Aron seeing her true identity!
"Finally... I can relax a little," Emilia muttered, a sly grin tugging at her lips as she slipped off her cracked mask.
She placed a hand over her heart, and a brilliant white light erupted from her palm.
First spell: Mana Heart, Level 2—Activated!
After slaying so many monsters today, she had managed to raise the skill to level 2. With this upgrade, all her spell costs were reduced by 40%, and she gained 20% increased spell amplification!
As she activated the spell, her appearance reverted. Siamelumi’s disguise spell was temporarily undone. Her light-blue hair cascaded back into its natural pure white, flowing down to her hips in shimmering strands that glowed even in the choking darkness. Her eyes returned to clear, luminous sapphire—the unmistakable mark of the Silvervein bloodline, shining with power.
Then came the second spell.
She drew a deep, steady breath. As she exhaled, a stream of white mana-vapor poured from her lips.
"Flame of Purification—Activate!"
White fire surged across her body, pure and searing! The Decay status vanished in an instant, and the Hands of Darkness burned away with a hiss.
BOOOOM!
The Twin Deathguard Knights swung their massive swords at her, but Emilia was no longer bound. She leapt backward, landing silently on her boots with a grin.
She raised her sword to the side. White fire blazed along the blade, swirling with the black flames from Flamme, forming a sword of pure black-and-white fire. Concentrating her mana into the weapon, it sang and burned with raw, overwhelming power!
The Twin Knights charged immediately, eyes gleaming with deadly intent. They attacked again, but Emilia dodged effortlessly.
She focused! Charging her sword... 20% completed!
The knights attacked once more—and once more, she evaded flawlessly. The Hands of Darkness tried to seize her again, but they were instantly consumed by Emilia’s Flame of Purification!
Charging her sword... 40% completed! Charging her sword... 60% completed!
And soon... 100% completed!
It was time. Time to unleash a devastating strike that would overwhelm her enemies with the raw mana she had built up!
"Silvermoon Sword Art – Celestial Crescent!"
BLAZEEE!
Emilia swung. A giant arc of black-and-white fire tore through the air—a pure, blinding strike of power!
The Twin Deathguards raised their massive swords to defend. But it was useless.
FWOOOOM!
The arc struck with explosive force, bisecting both Deathguard Knights in one breathtaking, devastating attack. Within seconds, their bodies were completely incinerated!
