Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son-Chapter 353 [Wedding By Blood] [5] [Difference]
Chapter 353 [Wedding By Blood] [5] [Difference]
[Davana Kingdom]
[Royal Palace]
The voices of people enjoying themselves echoed within the palace, happiness that had been a distant dream finally coming true.
For uncountable years, the two leading families of the Asuras had been fighting over the lands.
Orth Kingdom was the one initiating most of the conflicts, but not without reason.
The resources and history that Davana Kingdom's land held were far greater compared to theirs.
Their conflicts rooted back to the time when the Asuran Child of Mana—Adean Varyan Asura was born.
Born into a family of slaves, he faced countless difficulties in his lifetime.
Until—
Adean destroyed the old empire of Asura all by himself and forbade the rise of another empire.
The sole reason why Asuras were never united together.
Orth Kingdom had always adhered to Adean's words.
Had it not been for the Twin Prince incident, they would have never agreed to unite with Davana Kingdom.
The one incident that took away most of their authority.
And—
Forced them into their current condition.
**
In the corridors around the accommodation of the Segyal Highbloods—
"Where did he go?"
A girl grumbled as she walked alone within the corridor.
She wore a casual yet luxurious dress, her long black hair flowing behind her back.
Her crimson eyes roamed around the place, trying to find someone.
"How can he just leave?"
Siersha bit her lips as she looked at the locked room of Himmel.
Even though she tried to call him, there was no response from him.
As if he had ghosted her completely.
Rubbing her temples, she leaned against the wall.
"Can you tell me where he is?"
Siersha whispered softly, touching the engraving that glowed softly on her hand.
—....
"Olivia, are you listening?"
—I am not telling you where he is.
Confusion coiled around her mind as she frowned.
"Why?"
—I don't see Father profiting from you knowing his location.
Her annoyance spiked as she heard her cold response.
Siersha took in a deep breath.
"It's important, Olivia. Just tell me—"
—We made a deal, and we are going to stick with it. I won't tell anything that can harm him.
"How is knowing his location—"
—Well then. Enjoy playing around, Mother.
"...."
Siersha rubbed her temples as she felt her connection cut off with her.
"This brat...."
She grumbled as she pushed herself forward.
Taking out her phone, she looked at the time.
A timer ran on her phone.
"Half an hour more."
She whispered softly, biting her lips.
"What a shitty thing to be born in."
Sighing, she walked towards the exit, but her steps slowed as she noticed someone.
"Zenith?"
She called, making the girl turn around.
"What are you doing here?"
Zenith blinked innocently. "Uh, nothing much."
Siersha narrowed her eyes, but instead of pressing further, she asked, "Do you know where Himmel is?"
"He is gone somewhere." Zenith replied as she turned around. "Anyway, bye."
Siersha followed her. "What happened?"
Zenith quickly shook her head. "…Nothing at all."
"You are easy to read, Zenny." Siersha replied, patting her back. "Tell me what happened?"
Zenith hesitated for a long while.
Torn between keeping it a secret or informing her.
She let out a tired sigh.
"Say, what could be the reason," Zenith began, glancing at her, "for someone to kill every Asura?"
Siersha's steps halted as she processed her words. "....What?"
"It's a hypothetical question!" She said, raising her voice. "Don't think too hard."
"..."
Knowing Zenith's abilities, Siersha did the opposite of it.
Ignoring Zenith's nonsense rambling, she fell into deep thought.
Finally, she whispered, "I can think of multiple reasons, but I can't be sure which one is true."
"....I see." Zenith nodded gently, her expression serious, unlike her usual self.
"Why ask such a question?" Siersha asked as they continued to walk.
"...I can't say." Zenith whispered, shaking her head.
'Why would he need that?'
The favor that Himmel asked her.
'Why a list of every possible exit in the palace?'
Zenith placed her hand on her face, trying to shake off her concern.
'But what if.'
What if he is planning something?
One wrong move and the future of an Asura massacre could become reality.
...What if this is that one wrong move?
Even though Zenith tried to, she still couldn't shake off her fears.
'That stupid idiot can't let me live in peace.'
She kicked in the air, imagining him in front of her.
Sighing, she whispered, "Should I talk with Epione?"
Epione was the only link that Zenith could find.
Her heart ached as she remembered her dying in his hands.
Was it because of losing her friend, or was it because he was holding someone else so closely?
She didn't know.
"Why are you so deep in thought?"
She asked, glancing at Siersha.
Snapping back to reality, Siersha glanced at her. "Nothing special."
She shrugged as her gaze turned towards the window.
Her steps halted as she took in the scenery outside.
A small statue of a goddess was situated at the forefront of the palace.
The statue with three heads and six arms sat on a serpent-like being.
Walking closer, she placed her hand on the window. "....What's that?"
Siersha walked closer as well. "...A statue?"
"It's Goddess Anant's statue."
A voice echoed from behind them.
They both turned around, finding a girl with deep black-crimson hair, styled into elaborate braids.
"Princess Selaria." Siersha whispered softly, looking at her.
Selaria bowed slightly towards Siersha. "I apologize if I am interrupting you."
"It's fine." Siersha replied, glancing back at the statue. "Isn't she the one who blessed your race?"
Selaria nodded proudly. "We all will be eternally grateful for her blessing."
"Isn't she evil....."
Zenith's words quickly died down as she noticed her blunder.
Selaria just smiled softly, not taking any offense.
She simply replied, "How can a goddess who transcends in spirituality be evil?"
Every follower of their gods saw them as nothing but absolute.
They didn't acknowledge or straight-up denied anything bad said about them.
Asuras were the same.
"Anyway, you should look forward to the main event." Selaria said, smiling brightly at them.
"What is that?" Zenith asked, not hiding her curiosity.
Selaria looked around cautiously before she took a step towards them.
In a low voice, she whispered, "Both Orth and Davana Kingdom hold one-third of Goddess Anant's weapon, and as the foundation of our empire, we are going to combine them."
"....."
Both Zenith and Siersha blinked.
This...isn't something they were supposed to know.
Selaria just smiled, looking at their shocked expressions.
"Why tell us something so important?" Siersha asked, narrowing her eyes.
She was smart enough to catch on to her.
Selaria's smile turned brighter. "Aren't you guys friends with Heir Himmel?"
"We are." Siersha whispered, her body tensed up at his mention.
Selaria bowed slightly. "Can you fix my date with hi—"
Smack!!
Before her words could be completed, a hand collided with her head.
Her unconscious body fell to the floor like a rack of clothes.
Siersha blinked, then she turned to the culprit.
With her mouth wide open, Zenith looked at her hand, then at Selaria.
"Ah."
Reality settled in as she realized.
She just knocked out a princess.
Siersha quickly moved and grabbed both her hands. "We need to remove the evidence. Quickly, grab her legs."
"Y-yeah."
Zenith moved, then she paused.
"What are we going to do?"
New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.
Siersha blinked. "Let's throw her off the window."
"She will die!?"
"Hopefully."
"WHAT?"
"What?"
They both looked at each other in confusion.
Before they could do anything—
"What are you doing?"
A voice made them flinch.
Zenith slowly turned, her mind already buzzing with pictures of prison.
But she let out a sigh of relief as she noticed her.
"Epione, help."
Zenith pleaded like a child about to cry.
*****
In one of the roofs of the Davana Kingdom, a lone boy sat alone.
His long red hair was tied beautifully into a ponytail while he wore a suit.
A bottle of wine was in his hand as he looked down on the endless city.
A letter was in his hand, that he kept staring at without blinking.
It wasn't anything special, just a list of things that his mother wished to do with her child.
The only thing that Elijah had belonging to his mother.
Elijah suddenly chuckled. "What a load of bullshit."
Yet he carefully placed the letter back in his bracelet.
Sighing, he looked back. "Have you something to talk about?"
A boy stood on the other side, staring down at the city as well.
Aimar looked back at him as he replied.
"No."
Elijah chuckled. "At least ask if I am alright."
"You aren't weak enough for me to ask such things." Aimar replied, leaning on the terrace wall. "And I am not interested in your mood swings."
Elijah looked at him weirdly.
Saying something to his face was quite offensive.
Then—.
He let out a sigh.
"Why are you not with Elise?"
Aimar frowned. "Why should I be?"
Elijah rolled his eyes. "Aren't you her 'bodyguard'"
Aimar glared at him before he replied. "She is with her parents."
"Same with Heather." Elijah mumbled, rubbing his cheek.
Sighing, he leaned on the wall before sliding down.
They both sat silently without saying a word.
Finally, Aimar asked. "Why are you drinking all of a sudden?"
"..."
Elijah glanced at him before he took another sip from the bottle.
"I want to meet my father." Elijah whispered softly.
Aimar asked. "Why?"
"So I can punch him." Elijah replied, staring at the night sky. "Why did he leave me with this fucking family."
Aimar kept his silence.
"They all have shitty personalities." Elijah continued. "Except Himmel—."
"No." Aimar cut off his words. "He also has a shitty personality. Gay as well."
Elijah chuckled. "Yeah, hopefully, he is just joking."
"You would have other thoughts if you had seen him interact with my brother."
Aimar grumbled, rubbing his temples.
Even to this day, he wasn't sure if Oliver used to kid or not.
Elijah silently smiled.
Looking at the floor with lost eyes.
"I talked with Heather's mother."
Elijah began as he looked back at Aimar.
"....She is sweet."
Feeling something amiss, Aimar questioned. "Did something happen?"
"....She talked about Killian."
He whispered softly, looking at him.
"She compared both of us even though it was unintentional."
Aimar quietly nodded his head.
He could already guess—she called Killian better than him.
"Jealous of your brother?" Aimar teased, looking at him.
But.
Was it perhaps the effect of wine? Elijah replied honestly.
"Who am I not jealous of?" He whispered, letting out a self-loathing chuckle.
"Jealous of Himmel for his strength. Zenith for having a loving mother. You for slowly overtaking me."
"...."
Aimar silently looked down at him.
He wasn't sure how to respond to it.
Elijah looked at him. "Pathetic, isn't it?"
"I am not someone to judge that."
Aimar replied. "I'm worse than you."
Elijah smiled.
Then—.
He asked. "Is having external power bad?"
Aimar thought for a while before shaking his head. "I don't think so."
Elijah looked at his palm—.
"I see."
A star mark was engraved on it.
