Reincarnated As the Enemy's Wife: Married the Rival, Bound by Revenge-Chapter 236: Can You Not Tell My Sister?
When Zachary was about to knock the door, he heard his wife cursing in the room. "Damn it! No way! Emma, are you really only 9 years old?"
Yvonne thought she wouldn’t be surprised by how smart a kid could be since she was already used to Daniel’s glorious achievements, but when she realized Emma’s talent, she was shocked again.
"Is this real? She’s unbelievably amazing!" Yvonne exclaimed inwardly.
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
"Knock knock."
"Time to eat," Zachary said with a reserved voice.
Inside the room, the blond girl knitted her eyebrows immediately.
"Leinster is here."
Yvonne didn’t know what to say. Emma just addressed her brother-in-law by his last name, without any title.
"Eh... Maybe we should have dinner first," said Yvonne.
Frustration instantly filled Emma’s eyes.
Yvonne could only say, "Fine. Let’s finish our game first."
In fact, she didn’t know why they were still competing in this game. She had lost completely.
But Emma seemed to be quite stubborn. When Yvonne was defeated for the first time, she said they should do three rounds; when Yvonne had lost twice, she insisted that they must play five rounds at least.
Yvonne had no choice but to keep playing. When Emma looked at her with those sad eyes, she felt she must fulfill her wishes and lose again with pride.
"Well, honey, wait a little longer," Yvonne spoke loudly at the door, and then went back to the computer regardless of her reluctance.
Outside of the door, Zachary raised his eyebrows hearing her words. Finally, he pushed the door open.
As soon as he entered the room, he saw two computers, and in front of the computers sat Yvonne and a Gothic style girl, Emma.
With a simple glance at the room, Zachary had a basic understanding of Emma’s personality.
When he walked closer, as expected, he saw her little face full of disdain. "I’m playing with my sister. Why are you here?"
"Eh... " Cold sweats broke out on Yvonne’s forehead.
The last person who challenged Zachary like that was Yvonne herself.
"No wonder we were sisters. We are born to make him clueless. But why does Emma dislike Zachary so much?" Yvonne thought to herself.
Just when Yvonne was worried that the two of them would quarrel, Zachary remained calm and said tactfully, "Since you are playing a game, don’t you need a referee?"
When Emma heard that Zachary was here to be the referee, not to steal her sister, her face instantly lit up. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"You, sit over there!"
"Okay."
Zachary, surprisingly good-tempered, gracefully followed her instructions and sat on an ottoman chair.
"Yvonne, we should set a prize for our game," Emma said as mischievous lights flashed across her eyes.
"What... what do you suggest?"
Emma lifted her chin and said, "If you win, you can go home today. But if you lose, you have to stay here with me for a month without going back home!"
Yvonne was in shock. She didn’t expect Emma would say something like that.
Before she could say anything, Zachary’s face darkened. "No way," said he.
Emma glared at him angrily and said, "Didn’t you say you’re the referee? You don’t have a say in this, do you?"
"Your sister can play with you more during the day, but she must go home at night." Emma replied, "Who are you to decide for her?
"I’m not deciding for her. What I said was based on common sense," he answered in a composed manner.
"What kind of common sense would separate two sisters?" Emma wouldn’t give up easily.
...
But Zachary was no easy opponent. No matter how smart Emma was, she couldn’t beat him in his game.
Zachary seriously replied, "If you let your sister stay here for a month, you are not only separate the two of us, but also your sister and her five children. What kind of common sense allows you to separate a mother from her kids?"
"You!"
As expected, Emma became indignant.
All she knew was that if it weren’t for Leinster, her sister wouldn’t have gotten married and have so many children so early. And if she hadn’t married and had kids so early, she could have spent more time with her, so she wouldn’t have always treated her like some ignorant kid all this time!
Zachary had taken her sister away for nine years! And he wouldn’t even let her have Yvonne for one month!
Thinking of this, Emma instantly became furious and shouted, "I hate you! I hate you! Go away!"
"I can go, but I will leave with your sister."
Emma was outraged. She had never hated anyone so much. She even wanted to fight with him.
"No... There’s no need to use violence. I can just hack into his company’s system...
But Yvonne is still here," she thought.
Emma didn’t want to appear too aggressive in front of Yvonne, so she could only swallow her anger and looked at her sister sadly.
"Yvonne, what do you think?"
"Ahem... "
Yvonne looked at Emma and then Zachary. Although Emma’s request was quite abrupt, they were indeed sisters and it was natural for sisters to spend time together.
Besides, you like her so much. As her older sister, she has neglected her younger sister over the years.
She was going to spend the rest of her life with Zachary, and one month didn’t seem long compared with a lifetime.
Thinking of this, Yvonne said, "Although I’m sure that I’ll lose, I’ll take my defeat and fulfill my promise."
"Humph!" Emma scoffed at Zachary once Yvonne agreed with her.
Zachary’s countenance darkened, his eyes filled with sadness.
Just like that, the final game began.
Yvonne had lost two rounds so far. If the best of five games was going to be the winner, Yvonne wouldn’t need to continue if she lost again.
Emma crossed her legs and thought about what Zachary had just said. "In order to avoid becoming the kind of villain that separates a mother from her kids. Yvonne, as long as you win this round, you win the game," said she.
"Okay... "
"I’m much more reasonable than some people, humph."
Yvonne was speechless.
"The girl got a temper. Is she a Scorpio?" she wondered to herself.
Yvonne forced herself to start a new round of game, embracing her defeat.
Meanwhile, Yesmina and Frank realized not only did Zachary not find their daughters, but he also disappeared himself.
They went up to Emma’s room on the second floor. She opened the door and saw her two daughters were engaged in computer "warfare".
Their eldest daughter was overly concentrated staring at her screen, while the little was so relaxed that she was chewing bubble gum.
"Emma, what are you doing! Why don’t you let them go to have dinner?" Frank reproached her directly.
Upon hearing this, Emma rolled her eyes. Emma was used to arguing with her father. Frank was the most straightforward person in the family, and Emma found him a little too easy to read.
"So childish," the Goddess Emma had spoken.
Frank was so shocked that he forgot what he wanted to say.
...
Meanwhile, The more Yvonne tried to hack into Emma’s system, the more she realized that Emma’s defense was flawless. Not to mention hacking it, she couldn’t even understand it.
"Yvonne, five minutes left."
"Yvonne, only three minutes left."
"Sister, still one minute left. After one minute, you will spend the whole month with me."
Yvonne knew that she was going to lose, but she still didn’t give up.
On the other side, Zachary narrowed his eyes slightly.
Emma was a talented kid and Zachary wasn’t surprised that she had excellent computer skills. But he did find something interesting. For the past few years, the Leinster Group had been transforming their pillar business from traditional industries to information technologies, and a lot of those IT experts he employed were talking about a mysterious person in their professional network, the "H".
Every time they mentioned the name H, their voices were filled with excitement. The Almighty H was invincible. Even the president didn’t know what to do with the person.
According to rumors, H had never revealed his or her face, and the voice was always digitally altered so that no one could decipher it.
What was even more amazing was that all of his or her earnings were used for charity.
She could do something so grand like disclosing a corrupted president and having him impeached by congress. She lifted some people out of their misery without leaving any trace of personal information and required no repayment. She could also do something so small like defending a bullied kid who was still in kindergarten.
What she did brought her countless fans across the world. Almost everyone in the IT industry saw her as an example to follow and a hero to admire.
However, such a legendary person had never revealed his or her age, gender, nationality, or anything.
Zachary looked at the little blond girl in front of him.
Despite her age, she already had the aura of a great leader.
"Emma has been so skilled in computer science. It would be a pity if we don’t send her to pursue further study abroad," Zachary said with a smile.
"Indeed. The local school system was not made for her. We have been looking for good schools in Arcus. Once she finished her elementary school study, we might move to Arcus together to provide her with better education," said Yesmina.
As soon as Emma heard that she was about to be sent abroad, she snapped, jumping out of the chair.
"No!"
"Why?" Yesmina was confused.
"I said no!" Emma was so angry that she began to walk in circles, stomping her feet.
And her eyes were filled with hatred when looking at Zachary.
"Who are you to meddle in our family affairs?"
Frank smacked the table angrily for how rude Emma was.
"Emma, how dare you talk like that?"
Emma rolled her eyes again!
However, Zachary was not angry at all, because it all went as he planned.
He walked close to Emma and leaned over, whispering into her ears, "Why don’t you want to go to Arcus? Are you reluctant to part with your sister? Or are you afraid your secret identity, the Almighty H, would be revealed?"
Emma’s eyes took in more light she thought as she heard his words.
"You... how did you know?"
Zachary, however, remained composed and charming.
"Let’s make a deal. You will let me have your sister back and I’ll keep your secret. Your identity would be safe with me."
Emma immediately blushed and lowered her head, looking very awkward.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Can you not tell my sister?" She didn’t want Yvonne to know about it, because she believed Yvonne wouldn’t see her as a little sister again once her identity was revealed. So far, she had been her doted sister and she really enjoyed the feeling of it.
Zachary hesitated for a moment and then finally said yes.
