Reincarnated as the Baron's son: My Infinite Card Upgrade System-Chapter 92: Cave house
Convinced by Alaric’s words, the cave lizard headed towards where his clan was, with the sole intent of completely enslaving all of them and becoming the leader of the clan by himself.
As he exited the cave, Alaric smiled. "Atta boy. That should settle the security. Now then, for the main issue."
He now looked at Auzure, her hand had been stretched out for a while, waiting patiently for Alaric to grab them.
Smiling, he grabbed her by the hand and began to move further down the cave.
"Are you going to be alright by yourself?" Ava asked.
"It’s fine. If you’re so worried, then you can come along."
Ava instantly followed.
Reaching the far end of the cave, Alaric stood a bit far away from Auzure.
Before getting to the cave, he had already informed her about what was going to happen.
He needed a breeding ground where the spiders could weave magic threads that could be used as wire for electricity.
Since he planned on selling them to the county, he knew he needed to at least give the people manufacturing them a safe environment.
Just leaving them in the empty room back at the mansion didn’t seem right.
"Okay, call them out, Auzure," Alaric uttered with his arms folded.
Auzure then proceeded to close her eyes.
Appearing all around her with a faint light were huge white spiders with six eyes and a large mouth.
These were Auzure’s clones in their spider form.
A total of twenty thread-manufacturing machines.
’Now I just need to assign people to deliver food and also clean this place every once in a while, Alaric thought to himself. Come to think of it, shouldn’t Hina be helping me with this? Is she still in the county?’
"Uhm, Master..."
Alaric snapped out of his thoughts after hearing Auzure’s voice.
He turned his eyes to her position. "What’s up? You good?"
On the floor, Auzure held her stomach, her cheeks puffed out a bit.
"I think Auzure is hungry after making so many clones. She wants to eat."
’Oh right, she also burns up calories because of the clones.’
[Inventory.]
Alaric pulled out an apple pie and handed it over to Auzure so she could eat.
[Auzure feels overwhelmed by your kind gesture.]
[You have gained 245cp toward the 1300cp needed to unlock the End Point feature.]
He stared at the template for a while.
The End Point.
’Just 1300cp left.’
Alaric knew that if he was able to tell the future before something happened, it would be a huge advantage for him.
And he was going to.
Finishing up at the cave, Alaric headed back to the mansion to set up a blueprint to help the workers build something more livable for Auzure’s clones.
It took him a couple of hours, but he finally got the blueprint ready.
"Here, you can start working on it tomorrow," Alaric said while standing in front of his door.
A worker was right there with him, grabbing the blueprint Alaric had given him.
"Alright, my lord. I’ll inform the others so we’ll get a move on it," the worker replied.
Alaric was surprised none of the workers had even tried to question him about their salaries.
Perhaps they trusted him too much. Considering their relationship score was around 90–100%, that thought wasn’t too far off.
And besides, the barony already had a good amount of farmland that could last a lifetime. Money became secondary when the normal basis for survival was met.
"Good, I’ll be going to bed now." Alaric walked into his room and settled on the bed.
Instantly, his summons appeared around him.
While Auzure was sitting down on his crotch, Aurora and Laura took both sides as they both stared at their master’s face with a soft smile.
"I thought I told you to help me look for Hina?" Alaric uttered.
"Oh, but we did," Laura replied. "She’s in the barony. I found her somewhere in the forest." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"Uhn? She’s here?"
"Yes. I don’t think she saw me, though. But I did see her speaking to a group of men there. Perhaps they are friends of yours."
Alaric was a tad bit confused. Hina wasn’t the type to hide anything from him. Being in the barony, she would have informed him first before doing anything else.
With one hand covering his eyes, Alaric uttered out loud—
"Women are so weird."
"And also... I’m sorry. I tried all I could, but I could not open it."
Aurora said with a sad voice as she stretched a weird-looking box toward Alaric.
This box had been given to Alaric by Count Velmo during his time at the county.
According to what Velmo had told him, the box was found in an abandoned ruin by some adventurers a few months ago.
He never informed the queen about it, nor did he tell any of the royal dukes. The reason being, he wanted to know what was inside such a small box that felt so eerie.
Of course, he wasn’t exactly sure if the box itself meant any harm, but from what he could sense, he knew the box had to be something ominous.
But it was locked, with no way to open it.
Thus, he gave it to Alaric.
Believing Alaric to be the only one capable of performing miracles most people would never dream about, Velmo hadn’t hesitated to hand the box over to him.
Unbeknownst to him, even Alaric himself had no way of knowing how to open such a strange box.
The more he touched it, the more it seemed like the box was either zapping his power or trying to completely overwhelm him.
"So even spirits can’t open it, huh? Damaging the box would most likely not be a wise choice, which completely limits our options already."
He looked to the side. "Sigh! So many things are happening at once. It feels like I’m aging too fast."
"Auzure doesn’t understand why Master doesn’t just stop caring about these humans. She feels you’d be better off like that."
Alaric looked at Auzure, ready to say something to counter her comment, when someone suddenly knocked on the door.,
