"Hmm, it's me. Come on up. Everything you want to know, I've placed here."

Cai Ketongshen and Kongshan Yiyou exchanged glances.

But their curiosity still compelled them to walk toward the direction of the voice from the high platform.

The gigantic gears were slowly turning, and as the two threaded through the massive gaps between the gears, a dreamy, surreal scene unfolded before their eyes.

It was a beautiful orb of light, like something out of a dream, with outlines of mountains and landscapes. The semi-transparent orb was slowly rotating, and beneath that giant orb was Kael, dressed in a Mage Robe.

Seeing their arrival, Kael, with his back to them, turned his head and gave them a smile.

"I didn't expect the two of you to think of coming to the same place." Kael said softly, looking at them, and continued, "If you have any questions about the Human Federation and want to ask, you can ask directly. After all, apart from me, there are few who can clearly explain to you what's going on."

The two looked at the azure orb in front of Kael with confusion.

No one knew better than they did that this clearly was a 3D model of the world they knew as the Human Federation.

"What exactly is the situation with the Human Federation? Can you tell us?" Cai Ketongshen deliberately chose a very broad question, clearly wanting to gather more information from Kael.

Kael shook his head and said:

"In your eyes, what's the difference between the world of the Human Federation and the Divine Glory Continent under your feet?"

Cai Ketongshen hesitated for a bit and said, "Some time ago, when the game version updated, I suddenly found offline that everything my eyes saw contracting was swallowed by a huge vortex, as if the entire world was twisted into a rag.

But what I couldn't understand was that even though the whole world was drawn into that vortex, along with everyone I saw being distorted beyond recognition, they still didn't feel any pain, nor did anything unusual occur.

So I just watched as I was swallowed by that vortex. I thought I was going to die, but unexpectedly, not long after being consumed, the whole world suddenly started to restore to the way I remembered it.

It was like~ it was like~"

"Like everything you saw before was just an illusion?" Kael said with a smile.

Cai Ketongshen nodded.

Kongshan Yiyou looked at him with some surprise.

No wonder she had felt something was off about Cai Ketongshen before.

If she encountered such a situation in reality, she might think she was going crazy, or that the whole world had gone mad, leaving only her being sane.

Cai Ketongshen probably spent a lot of time investigating this matter, right? 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

He might still be doubting his life right now.

In fact, Kongshan Yiyou guessed right. Cai Ketongshen's mental state wasn't very stable at the moment, and he was eager to know the truth from Kael.

Kael looked at this former "old friend" and displayed a subtle smile.

"You must have played many games in the Human Federation and should know one thing: for NPCs in the game, no matter how much they evolve, they are almost like characters in a comic book, unable to perceive changes in game versions and mechanism updates, aren't they?"

As soon as he said this, Cai Ketongshen's face changed.

Kael shook his head and said, "Don't worry, I'm not saying your world is just a game."

The heart Cai Ketongshen had hanging high finally settled down lightly, but there was a hint of doubt on his face.

For some reason, he always felt Kael was intentionally stirring up his emotions.

But when he looked at Kael, he found there wasn't the slightest shift in his expression, as if what he had just said was only a joke.

Before he could say anything more, Kael snapped his fingers.

With a crisp sound, a Magic Light spread across the space.

As the Magic Light flickered, the volume of the Human Federation's 3D map orb expanded rapidly. With the increase in area, the surface of the map kept enlarging, from being merely a sphere to showing clusters of cities, then to the clear view of buildings within those city clusters. Finally, to Cai Ketongshen's stunned expression, it stopped above a familiar villa.

Kael glanced at Cai Ketongshen's expression and curved his lips into an amusing smile. The next moment, as the scene continued to enlarge, it zoomed in on the curved glass of a virtual game pod.

Inside that curved glass, a person was quietly sleeping.

It was Cai Ketongshen in reality.

Beside him, Kongshan Yiyou watched the scene, her face covered in cold sweat.

Cai Ketongshen was rather famous among the young people in reality; his looks were quite recognizable, so Kongshan Yiyou naturally recognized him.

Clearly, the seemingly harmless Brother Kael was capable of directly monitoring reality, or rather...

Is he really able to monitor reality, or as he just joked, is the Human Federation also just a game to him?

She subconsciously tried to exit the game, but unexpectedly, a game that could be easily exited was now stuck.
