Reincarnated as incubus: I didn't mean to seduce you!-Chapter 1235 - 335: Kael Returns in Glory
His expression moved slightly, he stood up and said to Lanice, "Lanice, the person you've always wanted to meet will soon be back with us."
Just as he said this, a young man in a Mage Robe suddenly appeared at the door.
He had long hair that flowed beautifully like silk, and even the Forest Emperor would sigh at his handsome features.
When he silently stepped through the door from outside the palace, the first sound of applause rang out, followed by overwhelming applause, so intense as if not being that intense would fail to express their current excitement to the world.
In fact, it was indeed like that.
The return of the King of Mages from the Star Realm was undoubtedly a strong boost for the current Yibel Federation.
When he stood before everyone, under the eyes of all, Kael made a slight half-bow, a gentle smile on his face, and said:
"Good day, everyone, I have returned."
For a moment everyone fell silent, the applause was voluntarily subdued by Kael's actions.
Kael swept his gaze around, chuckled softly, and said:
"It seems that over the years, everyone's strength has improved quite a bit."
Hearing this, everyone wore friendly smiles.
Suddenly, a light and joyful laughter, somewhat gleeful, rang out. Kael looked in the direction of the sound, and his long unseen Mr. Luxius came out laughing:
"Kael, after all these years, you're still so strong."
Kael shook his head and said, "The speed of my professional level upgrade isn't as formidable as you imagine; reaching this point so quickly is purely due to the nourishment of the Divine Life Essence of those gods I've slain." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Speaking of it, it's quite amusing; the Chaos Source Essence inside Kael is essentially akin to a smaller scale Chaos Origin.
At some past point in time, the matter and spirit of the Chaos Origin were suddenly split, forming the main material world and the wide Spiritual Body World.
Later, the main material world was further subdivided, orderly forming the Divine Continent, and disorderly forming the Abyss.
In those years when the main material world utterly collapsed, not only the two largest chunks broke off but countless smaller worlds as well.
These worlds formed the numerous subplanes on the Divine Continent.
And not long after the main material world was split apart, the original wide Spiritual Body World, or rather the original Akasha Subconscious Sea, also experienced a split along with the tearing of matter, resulting in the splitting of the Spiritual Body World.
The wide Spiritual Body World, extended from all things, split into the Divine Continent World Will governing order, and the Abyssal Consciousness governing chaos, while that broader part that couldn't be called orderly or disorderly of the Spiritual Body mixed together, becoming the renowned Akasha Subconscious Sea.
The Chaos Source Essence within Kael, somewhat similar to the reversal of the innate in Human Federation Daoist theory, relies on the Chaos Source Essence's power in the return to chaos and void, allowing Kael to directly draw part of the origin of everything he kills into the Chaos Source Essence, and through a series of transformations, become part of his own origin.
This is the so-called "upgrade."
In Kael's view, if not for the gods stepping up one after another to throw themselves at him at that time, he would have had no possibility of elevating his professional level to its current extent in such a short period.
Of course, what seems a "natural reason for becoming stronger" to him, in the eyes of others, seems somewhat like a humblebrag.
"In short, matters of the past can be discussed later. Today, I return to announce to the entire world that I have completely broken free from the Ether Spear's constraints and can freely move across the continent."
As Kael finished speaking, intense applause broke out once more.
Kael's gaze scanned those familiar faces, and his expression grew increasingly gentle.
No one understood better than him why he had tirelessly fought all these years.
Especially when he saw Elanna with a flicker of tears in her eyes, Flandre standing beside with an amused yet helpless smile, and a quietly sobbing Hassaka hidden in the shadows, the gentleness in his eyes was about to overflow.
"Kael..." Elanna stepped forward.
This time, when she rushed into Kael's embrace, he finally did not refuse their embrace.
Feeling that familiar warmth he only noticed in dreams, despite having weathered many hardships in the Star Realm all these years, a smile almost melting appeared on Kael's face:
"I've returned."
Everyone exchanged smiles.
This scenario perfectly exemplified what it means for absence to make the heart grow fonder.
Behind them, watching everyone gathered, Lion Heart laughed heartily. After so many years, he could finally laugh at ease.
He clapped his hands, that lion's roar-like voice reaching everyone's ears: "The banquet in the back must be ready by now. What are you waiting for, everyone? Go eat and drink."
Upon hearing this, everyone exchanged knowing smiles. They weren't clueless, understanding that Lion Heart wanted to give Helois Monarch and his friends some time.
Although they still wanted to see Helois Monarch and chat with the returning King of Mages about the Federal state over these years, Lion Heart was right; they should go participate in the banquet.
Staying here longer would be somewhat rude.
...
Watching everyone walk into the interior space with smiling faces, Kael lingered with his beloved companions for a while before turning his gaze to Julius, deciding whether to stay or leave, along with Lanice who intermittently peeked curiously.
His eyes held a complex and subtle light as he looked at Julius first and said softly:
"Julius, my child, come to my side."
Honestly, even now, Kael wasn't prepared to be a father, but even being unprepared, he clearly understood that as a father, upon his return, he needed to express himself.
In fact, Julius's feelings were just as complex as Kael's.
Growing up, though he always knew of Kael's existence from others, when that man called father stood before him, he found he couldn't call him "father" as easily as he did with his mother.
Unable to utter a complete sentence after opening and closing his mouth several times, it was Kael who ruffled his hair and said with a smile:
"No need to be nervous; it's me who's more nervous now, but it's okay, we'll have plenty of time to bond as father and son in the future."
Julius opened his mouth, resignedly lowered his head.
His feelings were so complicated that he didn't know what to say.
But one thing was certain.
His heart was filled with joy.
Just then, Kael's not particularly thick palm gently rested on his hair, and in a voice as light as a feather falling, he said:
"Over the years when I wasn't here, helping your mother bear the burden, it must have been hard for you."
Julius, who prided himself on being mature beyond his years, felt his eyes sour at these words, mumbling in the end: "Father, it took you too long to return."
Kael smiled and said nothing.
Moments later, his gaze turned to the little Dragon Girl, who kept her head up, watching him with curious eyes.
With a slightly amusing tone, he picked Lanice up, looked her over thoroughly, making his beloved daughter laugh, and finally revealed a satisfied smile on his face, saying:
"Sure enough, daughters are the cutest."
"Are you Father?" The little rascal Lanice tilted her head and said.
"Yes." Kael's voice was very soft, enveloping everything around.
"I've returned."
"Welcome home!"
