Rehab for SuperVillains (18+)-Chapter 187: You saw
Chapter 187: You saw
"I didn’t see anything," Kael said, trying to look innocent—even though the image of her bare chest, her petite frame, those flushed cheeks—was still burned behind his eyes.
"You saw," she said, her voice rising with embarrassment. "You saw everything! Now I have to kill you."
"No, I didn’t see anything," he claimed again.
"You saw," she growled, face still red. "And I saw you see. You looked!"
There was a pause. He exhaled, lips twitching. "Okay. Fine. I saw. But it’s not like I saw everything. There wasn’t that much to see anyway."
Silence.
Her expression shifted from furious to stunned—then snapped back to furious.
"WHAT!?"
Before he could dodge, she grabbed the paper plate from the breakfast tray still sitting on the floor and flung it at him.
He ducked with a laugh, the plate crashing against the doorframe and spinning to the floor in a soft clatter.
"You arrogant—! How dare you say that to a girl!"
"I meant it in a respectful way!" he argued, voice full of amusement as he ducked behind the door, only poking his head back in.
"Minimalism is beautiful!"
"Get your minimalist ass out of my room!"
Tila was standing with both hands balled into fists, breathing hard, cheeks still tinted pink.
Her black hair was messy from the storm of her emotions, and she looked like she was one more comment away from turning back into a villain.
"Why are you so mad?" he asked, easing back inside. "Would it be better if I just admitted I saw something?"
"No!"
"What if I said you had a cute chest?"
"Still no!"
"Seriously, what answer wouldn’t make you throw thing at me?"
She scowled and stomped a foot. "You’re so annoying!"
Kael tilted his head, smiling. "And yet, you’re still talking to me."
She groaned and looked away, arms still crossed.
"Alright," he said, leaning against her wall, relaxed now. "What exactly did I do wrong? Entering without permission, or appreciating the view?"
"The whole thing," she snapped. "The knocking, the entering, the looking, the teasing—all of it!"
"And yet... here I am. Alive. Unbruised. Barely." He shrugged and walked further into the room.
Tila glared again. "Why are you here? Just to bug me?"
Kael grinned. "That’s ironic. Last I checked, you’re the one scared of bugs."
"I swear if you say one more—"
"Joking!" he said quickly, catching the pillow mid-air before she could throw it again. "Joking. See? Peaceful intentions."
She crossed her arms again, not entirely buying it.
He dropped onto her bed, lounging back like it was his own.
"Freya and Rhea are off doing mission stuff. And the house is way too quiet."
"So you decided to break into my room for fun?"
"I needed company. You’re warm, loud, bite-sized. Felt like a good fit."
"Oh, so I’m your emotional support teddy now?"
"Exactly."
She blinked. "You’re the worst."
"Thanks. So, wanna play something?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Pleaaaase?"
She rolled her eyes and finally looked at him again.
"Why are you like this?"
He gave her a half-grin. "It works on Rhea."
"I’m not Rhea."
"True. You’re angrier."
She huffed, but there was a flicker in her gaze now.
He saw it—the slight tilt of her mouth, the hesitation in her arms.
She was calming down. Mostly.
"Fine," she muttered. "What?"
Kael sat up, grinning. "Whatever you want."
Tila narrowed her eyes, suspicion obvious. "You’re being suspiciously agreeable."
"I’m not suspicious, I’m emotionally available. Big difference."
She crossed the room, thinking. "...I don’t know."
"How about Jenga?"
Her eyes lit up.
"Jenga?"
He nodded. "Yeah. Good old-fashioned balance and destruction."
She blinked once, then twice. "Okay."
Kael stood. "Wait here. I’ll get your sister."
"Lila’s coming?" Her face brightened immediately. "Yay!"

A few minutes later,
Kael returned to Tila’s room with a smug grin, a stack of Jenga blocks in one hand and Lila walking silently behind him.
Her steps were soft, almost ghostlike—but her black eyes brightened the moment they met her sister’s.
Tila’s eyes lit up.
"Sis!" "Sis!" they both shouted, almost in perfect harmony.
They practically launched themselves across the room and collided in a tight hug, arms wrapping around each other like magnets finally reunited.
"How’ve you been, sis?" Tila asked, pulling back to inspect her.
"I’m fine, sis. How are you, sis?" Lila responded with a soft smile.
Kael stood there holding the Jenga box, watching the twin-on-twin reunion with a raised brow.
Lila’s dark curls were a little messy today, and her cracked glasses sat slightly crooked on her nose, one lens showing a long fracture line.
"Hey," Tila said suddenly, catching sight of the damage. "What happened to your glasses? Did Kael do this?"
"What?!" Kael barked defensively. "How is that the first assumption?"
Lila looked down shyly, fingers fidgeting with her sleeves.
"I dropped them earlier... and stepped on them by accident. I’m... kind of a klutz."
Tila frowned. "Ugh, Sis..."
Kael exhaled and set the Jenga down. "I’ll get you new ones. Seriously. Like today."
Lila’s face flushed. "You don’t have to—"
"I want to," he cut in, then smiled. "Can’t have you squinting all the time, right?"
Lila gave a faint nod, looking away with a quiet thank-you, voice barely above a whisper.
"Alright, enough with the pleasantries," Kael clapped his hands once, loud and commanding. "Let’s play."
Lila moved to one side of the Jenga stack, legs folding neatly under her.
Tila flopped down opposite her, muttering under her breath.
"Now we’re playing with this loner..."
Kael threw a shrug. "This loner needs love too."
He spread his arms dramatically in Tila’s direction. "Come on. Group hug."
Tila’s eyes narrowed. "Stay away from me, pervert."
Kael turned to Lila, hopeful. "Lila?"
Lila hesitated, then gave a small nod. "...Fine."
But before she could step forward, Tila reached out and grabbed her hand.
"Don’t! Don’t touch that creep!"
Kael raised his brows. "Ouch. Don’t leave me hanging."
Tila rolled her eyes and stood. "Fine. I’ll do it."
"You will?" he asked, surprised.
