Reborn with the Infinite World Panel-Chapter 60: Star Survival 12
Xue Yifan is really nice; he knows Zhai Xueying lacks resources, so he helped her chop wood and cut vines.
When Zhai Xueying was building her camp, Xue Yifan also helped her with the construction.
The viewers in the livestream were all praising Xue Yifan for being so manly.
Of course, there were some viewers who like watching the guests suffer and thought this kind of help was boring.
Hou Ming and Wu Jun teamed up and built a camp together, then went looking for food.
Their collaboration allowed them to be the first ones to finish building their camp.
Lai Yuzhu only completed her camp construction after four in the afternoon, and when she finished, her stomach was growling with hunger.
Because she was bitten by black ants, Lai Yuzhu didn’t go to pick grapefruit either.
After being treated by the doctor, she began looking for Nan Chu, but luckily, following some traces, she found Nan Chu.
When she found Nan Chu, his camp was already halfway built, so she was also busy constructing her camp first. After it was done, she was starving.
Seeing Nan Chu’s side, Lai Yuzhu walked over, "Nan Chu, are you awake?"
"Sister Lai, do you need something?"
"I didn’t find any food, and it’s getting late today, so it’s not convenient to search now. Do you think I could borrow some food from you? I’ll pay you back tomorrow once I find some."
"Sister Lai, didn’t you find a grapefruit tree? There are seven or eight grapefruits on that tree; even if you couldn’t pick them all, you must have gotten one or two? Did you finish all the grapefruits, Sister Lai?"
"You don’t know, there are a lot of ants on that grapefruit tree, and I got bitten by them. Look at my face and arms, they’re all covered in ant bites." Lai Yuzhu acted pitiful, saying, "Sigh, I’m just so unlucky."
[You deserve to be bitten.]
"Considering my stomach issues and being bitten by ants, Nan Chu, my dear, could you lend me a little food? I promise to return it tomorrow."
"Sorry, Sister Lai, I only have enough food for myself. If I lend it to you, I’ll be the one going hungry."
"You already ate at noon; missing a meal at night shouldn’t be too much of a problem, right?" Lai Yuzhu said, "I have a stomach condition and haven’t eaten two meals, now my stomach feels terrible."
"Sister Lai, there are still two or three hours before dark. You can try looking around; maybe you’ll find some food."
"But my stomach hurts badly."
[Hmph, this moral coercion tactic. If Nan Chu doesn’t give her food, the audience will definitely bad-mouth Nan Chu.]
[If she gives it, then Lai Yuzhu gets free food without needing to look for it herself.]
[So what if she’s the Nan Family’s daughter? She’ll still get scolded...]
Hearing Lai Yuzhu’s inner thoughts, Nan Chu’s lips slightly curled down, "Sister Lai, if you have a stomach condition, why didn’t you go find food first?"
"If you had gone to find food first, you wouldn’t be hungry now."
"Sister Lai, instead of arguing with me here, you’d be better off looking around. Maybe you’ll get lucky and find some food quickly. Borrowing food is out of the question," Nan Chu said casually. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Nan Chu, you’re so stingy." Lai Yuzhu mumbled, "Fine, if you don’t lend it, I’ll find some myself."
[Hmph, the audience is probably all cursing Nan Chu now.]
Nan Chu gave a fake smile.
If it weren’t for the cameras, she’d definitely teach Lai Yuzhu a little lesson.
The rules of the sect forbid magicians from using spells to harm ordinary people. If discovered, they’d be expelled from the sect and their powers stripped.
Ordinary people wouldn’t see anything, but if a sect elder or other magicians saw, it would be bad.
So she could only hold back for now, but once the livestream ended, she’d definitely punish Lai Yuzhu a bit.
[This must be Lai Yuzhu using moral coercion.]
[A survival show, asking to borrow food, that’s new.]
[If you have a stomach condition, don’t participate. When you get too hungry, don’t go blaming the show.]
[Borrowing food, borrowing water, and then borrowing a campsite.]
[Come to think of it, it’s odd. This person with the last name L seems to have deliberately stuck close to Nan Chu, even setting up camp nearby, with the intention of borrowing food.]
[Yeah, that really sounds like it could be true.]
When it got dark, Nan Chu ate the remaining half of a pineapple and then went to sleep.
In the morning, Nan Chu woke up.
Nan Chu picked up three stones and prepared to do a fortune telling.
After reading the divination, Nan Chu’s mouth slightly curved upward.
Afterward, she practiced a set of boxing moves and then ate the last pineapple. Once she finished eating, she took a lunchbox to fetch water at a small pond.
After Nan Chu left, Lai Yuzhu ran to Nan Chu’s camp and took the last pineapple.
[Stealing food! Interesting.]
[Conflict is going to happen.]
[I wonder how Nan Chu will react when she returns and finds the food gone. Looking forward to it!]
But when Nan Chu came back and saw the pineapple was missing, there was no reaction at all.
[Did Nan Chu not realize her pineapple was stolen?]
[Impossible, she placed it so prominently; there’s no way she didn’t notice.]
[The food was stolen, why doesn’t Nan Chu have any reaction?]
[Nan Chu’s reaction is off! Shouldn’t she be shocked and then confront L?]
Half an hour after eating the pineapple, Lai Yuzhu’s stomach started rumbling, and she had diarrhea.
After running to the toilet seven or eight times, Lai Yuzhu felt completely drained.
Finally, the accompanying doctor gave Lai Yuzhu an IV.
Lai Yuzhu got diarrhea because Nan Chu had sprinkled laxatives on the remainder of the pineapple.
This medicine, of course, was purchased through her unlimited Panel Mall, and it wasn’t expensive—just one gold coin.
The reason she knew the pineapple would be stolen was because her divination today forecasted financial loss.
Being in this place, she thought of her food and then of Lai Yuzhu, guessing that Lai Yuzhu might steal it, so she poisoned it.
The dosage wasn’t much but enough to make Lai Yuzhu uncomfortable.
[That’s hilarious.]
[Did this L star really get diarrhea from the pineapple?]
[The person above, surely it must have been eating the pineapple that gave her diarrhea; she hasn’t eaten anything else today.]
[It’s really strange that nothing happened to Nan Chu but L got diarrhea.]
[Everybody’s stomachs are different. Maybe L’s stomach is weaker, so she got diarrhea from eating the pineapple. Just her bad luck.]
[All I can say is, L got what she deserved.]
[She brought it upon herself.]
Nan Chu boiled the water and let it cool.
Then, carrying the water and a machete, she left the camp to look for food.
After half an hour, Nan Chu ran into Yu Miao.
"Nan Chu, are you out looking for food too?"
"Yeah."
"Want to team up?"
"Sure."
Yu Miao jogged over, "Nan Chu, you’re lucky. You choose a direction."
She had watched Nan Chu’s show "I Love Fishing" and knew that Nan Chu had great luck.
Hoping to catch some of that luck, she wanted to find food together with her.
Nan Chu chose a direction, and after about twenty minutes, they found a mango tree.
"Wow, so many mangos!" Yu Miao’s eyes lit up.
When they reached the mango tree, Yu Miao said, "Nan Chu, you wait here under the tree; I’ll climb up and pick some."
"Yu, are you sure you can climb up?"
"Don’t worry, I’m pretty good at climbing trees," Yu Miao said. Though she wasn’t as good as Nan Chu at climbing, she managed to get up there, albeit with some effort.
After climbing up, Yu Miao started picking mangoes, plucking all she could reach.
Once she came down, Yu Miao and Nan Chu split the mangoes equally.
