Reborn with the Infinite World Panel-Chapter 45: Star Survival 6
Jiang Han sat up, reached out and pulled Nan Chu, who was sitting on the bed, and hugged her waist, "I missed you."
Nan Chu blushed because Jiang Han wasn’t wearing any clothes.
Nan Chu’s hand hovered in the air, not daring to touch Jiang Han.
Jiang Han noticed Nan Chu’s hand and his lips curled slightly.
Jiang Han grabbed Nan Chu’s hand and placed it on his waist, "Touch your boyfriend’s waist."
"You can also feel the abs." Jiang Han’s deep voice whispered in Nan Chu’s ear.
Nan Chu’s ears were so red, they almost bled.
Jiang Han, seeing Nan Chu’s extreme shyness, couldn’t help but kiss her.
After a while, Jiang Han let go of Nan Chu and got out of bed.
Seeing Jiang Han wearing only shorts, Nan Chu hurriedly fled from his room.
Jiang Han laughed aloud, thinking his girlfriend was just too cute.
Jiang Han and Nan Chu had breakfast together.
Jiang Han had already booked plane tickets and planned to go to Shanghai today to spend the New Year with Nan Chu.
But Jiang Han didn’t expect Nan Chu to come first.
The two of them didn’t go out; they just stayed home, cozily watching TV.
"Next time you come across a snake, don’t try to kill it," Jiang Han reminded. "Also, avoid cliffs; food isn’t only found on cliffs..."
"Promise me, don’t do anything dangerous."
"I’ll try." Nan Chu couldn’t promise she wouldn’t do it in the future.
After finishing dinner, Nan Chu flew back to Shanghai.
Because she had work the next day.
Nan Chu rested for a day and returned to Shanghai to start her performance classes and participate in various activities.
A week later, the second episode of "Star Survival" started streaming live.
This time, they went abroad to the rainforests of Mildford Fjord in New Zealand.
The fjord forest is famous for its extreme rainfall and humid environment.
And this time, all participants received the same supplies.
Fifty meters of polyester rope, a 3*5 tarpaulin, a raincoat, an entrenching tool, a machete, a mess tin, and a roll of paper.
This time there was no food or water; they had to find it themselves.
New Zealand has a rich hunting culture, allowing hunting for deer, antelope, wild boars, paradise ducks, and hares, so participants could go hunting.
Of course, they could hunt because the show had applied for New Zealand hunting licenses for them more than a month in advance.
So they were able to hunt in New Zealand.
Hunting without a license is considered illegal and can lead to serious legal consequences, including fines and imprisonment.
The show adhered to local laws and hunting regulations.
These herbivores have no natural enemies in New Zealand and thus are overpopulated, making them available for hunting.
Even the tahr, a protected species in Xia Country, can be hunted in New Zealand.
This time, within 48 hours, the participants were not allowed to collaborate, and there was no competition, so no rewards for supplies.
New Zealand, located in the Southern Hemisphere, has seasons opposite to Xia Country; it’s summer now.
Although it’s summer, the temperature ranges from 10°C to 20°C, and it gets chilly at night, so you need to prepare for cold weather.
This survival venture was a real challenge; the combined weight of the rope and tarpaulin was about twenty pounds.
Carrying them while walking was quite a test of physical strength.
Nan Chu headed northwest and found a suitable campsite in half an hour.
The rainforest was damp, so Nan Chu planned to make a hammock.
She found four suitably distanced trees and prepared to make a hammock.
She had to set up the hammock and tarpaulin before it rained.
Nan Chu started working right away, and within an hour and twenty minutes, she set up the hammock and used the tarpaulin as a roof and rain shield on all sides.
Once done, Nan Chu went to search for drier firewood, but there was very little; most of the dry wood was damp and covered with moss.
But fortunately, Nan Chu found some wood ear mushrooms, so she had food for the day.
They could be boiled into soup.
Nan Chu continued deeper into the forest, using a machete to clear the way.
After over an hour, she got lucky and found some wild apples.
Nan Chu put down the machete and prepared to climb the tree to pick the apples.
Hunting might not yield animals, but apples could be eaten, so gathering them would make the next two days easier.
The cameraman looked at Nan Chu and asked, "Are you going to climb the tree?"
"Yes, don’t worry, I have tree-climbing experience." If not for the camera, she could have used her skills and leapt up effortlessly.
The apple tree was over 6 meters tall, and Nan Chu climbed it with ease.
[Amazing!]
[It seems so easy to climb trees.]
[Sister Nan is awesome!]
[Indeed, has tree-climbing experience, experience +10.]
[Like a monkey, she climbs so fast.]
Nan Chu picked all the apples, weighing more than two pounds, enough for three days.
Having found food, Nan Chu headed back.
Over an hour later, Nan Chu returned to the campsite.
Back at the campsite, Nan Chu started a fire. The dampness made it hard to light, but after a few minutes, she managed. Once lit, the smoke curled around, but it could repel mosquitoes.
There were quite a lot of mosquitoes.
Once the dampness was gone, the fire burned properly.
Nan Chu made a spot to keep firewood dry, then placed some under the hammock, using leftover rope to create storage.
If left on the ground, the firewood would get damp again in the rain.
Nan Chu decided she needed to set up a place to make a fire.
Then, Nan Chu set to work, chopping wood and palm leaves to build it.
Nan Chu was lucky to set up a cooking area just before the rain started.
The rain was heavy, and while the setup wasn’t perfect, wind still blew rain in.
It was past three in the afternoon.
Nan Chu sat to have her first meal of the day, wood ear soup.
After eating, she rested.
The other participants, like Nan Chu, set up hammocks.
After setting up camp, they went foraging for food.
Xue Yifan and Lai Yuzhu found wild plums, small but edible.
They picked all they found.
Hu Liang found wild bananas, and Yu Miao found wild blueberries.
The other three participants hadn’t found food yet.
Zhai Xueying’s group passed by food but didn’t recognize the wood ear mushrooms.
They only thought of fruits, not mushrooms or wild vegetables.
When it started raining, they hurried back to camp, caught off guard by the sudden downpour—they left their raincoats at the camp.
[The rain is pouring!]
[Looks like these three might catch a cold.]
[The three’s lips are turning blue, it seems a bit cold.]
[Hope they don’t get hypothermia.]
Back at camp, there was no firewood to make a fire, and no food.
Shivering, the three had to go inside their shelter to change into dry clothes.
The participants were allowed one change of clothes, otherwise, they would have stayed in wet clothes. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
[Looks like Nan Chu got lucky, quickly finding food.]
[Others aren’t too unlucky, only Wu Jun’s group had bad luck, searching so long without finding food.]
Nan Chu slept for over two hours, and when she woke up, it was still raining.
