Reborn with Infinity Skill Points, I Enslaved All Universes-Chapter 208 --The Meeting Begins
Chapter 208: Chapter208-The Meeting Begins
In the depths of the Abyss, Daniel had already stored Kalthor’s soul into his inventory space.
Now, it was time to head toward the Undead Lands.
But beyond that, Daniel had also reaped several unexpected gains.
Kalthor possessed extensive knowledge related to resurrection—so vast, in fact, that his research even surpassed that of the Artists. Whether it was resurrection arrays, resurrection skills, or even the underlying principles behind them, these discoveries were of immense value not just to Daniel, but to the entire human race.
Without hesitation, Daniel claimed all of it for himself.
Among the loot was a particular item:
[Resurrection Stone (Consumable)]
The effect of this item was simple: it could revive one person instantly.
Aside from that, Daniel also collected Kalthor’s physical remains.
After all, a body that once belonged to a Fake God was a highly valuable resource in certain fields.
Take alchemy, for example. It was entirely feasible to modify Kalthor’s corpse into a massive alchemical construct.
However, Daniel hadn’t delved too deeply into the study of alchemy.
It was simply too time-consuming, and Daniel didn’t have that kind of time to spare.
Still, across all races, alchemy was universally recognized as a highly valuable area of research.
The gnome race had once led the field in alchemical studies, which is how they managed to invent devices like the gnome communicator.
But the gnome race had since perished, causing a general regression in the field of alchemy.
Fortunately, the material brought back by the Artists filled in much of that lost knowledge.
Nowadays, many powerful warriors and scholars among the human race had immersed themselves in the pursuit of alchemical knowledge.
Though time-consuming, alchemy offered extremely generous returns.
To put it plainly: if Kalthor’s corpse were handed over to a true master alchemist, the resulting creation could very well surpass Kalthor’s original power.
Of course, that was only theoretical. In practice, crafting such an alchemical construct would require extensive preparation—and perhaps a bit of luck.
Regardless, these materials were undoubtedly valuable, and that was all that mattered.
With that in mind, Daniel activated Flashback and vanished from his original spot.
Only after he had gone did the Emperor of the Abyss, Malkar, carefully poke his head out from hiding.
The scene before him was beyond comprehension. He never imagined Daniel’s strength had reached such terrifying heights.
Reviving a Fake God just to kill him for materials?
Malkar’s worldview was utterly shattered.
Had the humans truly become this powerful? Could they really revive a Fake God on a whim and then slaughter it for resources?
At that moment, Emperor Malkar finally understood what the Abyss meant to the human race.
To them, wasn’t the Abyss essentially just a garbage dump?
And once he realized that, Malkar oddly found himself relaxing.
After all, under normal circumstances, who would willingly dive into a trash heap?
That explained why so few humans ever came to explore the Abyss.
Malkar’s eyes suddenly lit up.
Everything was beginning to make sense now.
Back during the last Millennium Apocalypse, perhaps Kalthor had fled to the Abyss after witnessing the rising might of the humans.
The more Malkar thought about it, the more he felt an immense reverence for humanity’s growing power.
It was probably for the best to simply stay inside the Abyss from now on—the outside world had become far too dangerous.
...
After dealing with Kalthor, Daniel’s figure reappeared in the City of Artists.
The moment he arrived, all the gathered powerhouses stood up simultaneously to show their respect.
At that same time, the god devotees entered the parliamentary hall.
Representatives from every major race were present. In this hall, only the absolute peak forces were qualified to take a seat.
"Well, what a lively gathering."
A lazy voice echoed throughout the hall, drawing everyone’s attention.
It was Charles.
Everyone recognized him—a known devotee of the gods. During the last Millennium Apocalypse, he had even cooperated with them on several occasions.
But once that catastrophe had passed, these enigmatic god devotees vanished without a trace.
It now seemed clear they had other tasks to attend to.
And with the latest Apocalypse descending, these mysterious devotees had once again reemerged.
"Why are you all attending this meeting?" one of the elite warriors questioned, clearly skeptical of the god devotees’ presence.
But the devotees remained calm as they responded.
"We’re here because we were guided by the gods. They told us this meeting would be of utmost importance."
"And at this point, there’s no need for us to hide our identities anymore."
After that declaration, all the god devotees turned their eyes toward Daniel.
"Our gods would like to meet the one behind you. They’re quite intrigued by this new god who has appeared—after all, it’s been a long time since a true god emerged in this world."
Hearing this, Daniel simply smiled and gave a nod.
"I’ll relay your request to Lord Crossbridge."
Compared to how he usually treated others, Daniel was noticeably more cordial toward these god devotees. After all, they had the gods behind them.
Whereas Daniel—truthfully—had nothing at his back.
A few moments later, Daniel stood in the center of the grand assembly hall.
"Since everyone’s here, let’s skip the small talk and get straight to the point."
The moment he spoke, the entire room fell silent.
Such was Daniel’s command that even the most prideful warlords didn’t dare to interrupt.
Off to the side, the Human Emperor’s lips twitched slightly.
He had never imagined that Daniel’s prestige had already reached such terrifying levels.
And just then, Daniel turned and spoke again:
"Alice, Charlotte—sit beside me."
The two women were stunned for a moment, but then quickly understood what he meant and walked over to take their seats next to him.
Following their lead, the other god devotees also took their seats.
Both Alice and Charlotte felt incredibly self-conscious as they sat beside Daniel.
Even the sovereigns of their respective races had to sit much farther back.
Yet now, because of Daniel, they occupied seats that didn’t belong to them by right.
From their positions in the hall, the elven queen and the blood clan empress noticed Alice and Charlotte’s new placements and exchanged a meaningful glance.
Perhaps... the time had come for the elves and blood clan to rise once more.
