Reborn with Consumption System-Chapter 495 - 230: The Holy Warrior is About to Explode!
He shot Ding Yu a murderous glare, then, before Pan Ge and Xi Luting could notice, quickly put on a smile and waved enthusiastically.
"Eh? Two beautiful ladies, are you just getting out of class?"
Han Lie hurried over, his face beaming with happiness. A man, after all, should share love with others and shoulder the pressure himself!
Pan Ge and Xi Luting, walking hand in hand, looked up at the rascal with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile. "Why weren’t you at the gym yesterday? Coming back to school at this hour, did you just crawl out of some beauty’s bed?"
Ah, Little Pan, you understand me!
Though Han Lie was touched, his face showed deep aggrievement.
"What are you talking about? I was with a client yesterday. Second Sister Jin introduced me to a few cultural tycoons. We were busy until midnight, and they managed to wring a fundraising quota of 50,000,000 out of me."
Brother Lie, a man of the world, never told a lie; everything that came out of his mouth was the "truth."
Normally, when it was one-on-one, he wouldn’t bother explaining, but today was different.
Pan Ge and Xi Luting, these sworn enemies, were actually holding hands affectionately. It was too bizarre. Han Lie was inwardly alarmed.
Hearing Han Lie’s defense, Xi Luting nodded thoughtfully. "Oh, so you slept with a female star yesterday..."
Han Lie’s eyes practically bugged out of his head. He shuddered violently.
Seriously, it’s been days! Have you been learning some new tricks from a Northeastern mystic or something?
Good thing I’ve leveled up my acting to Level 4...
As he walked towards them, Han Lie had already constructed his persona—he was an innocent, upright man, exhausted from working late into the night for his career.
Therefore, when he expressed himself, his indignation at being wronged had to be convincing—he absolutely could not, and would not, show any guilt.
"What nonsense are you spouting?!"
The scoundrel was so angry he was practically hopping. "Da Mi Mi invited me for an after-party yesterday, and I didn’t even go!"
Xi Luting looked at Han Lie skeptically, half-believing.
Pan Ge blinked her big eyes a couple of times and suddenly interjected, "So, who did you go to the after-party with?"
"No one!"
Han Lie, righteous and proud, jutted out his chin, determined to maintain his innocence.
"I went straight back to the hotel and didn’t have another drop!"
Man, those current heartthrobs and veteran actors would probably want to die of shame if they saw God Lie’s acting skills.
From mental construction to image transformation, to the layered design of action and thought—everything was bloody brilliant.
A slight lift of the chin, yet the gesture was filled with emotion.
But this emotion wasn’t forced; it "flowed" naturally through a series of sophisticated techniques.
Xi Luting and Pan Ge exchanged glances. Finding no flaws, they began to wonder if they had indeed wronged the rascal.
Seeing their expressions, Han Lie immediately pushed for a change of scene.
"Let’s not just stand here. Let’s find a place to sit for a bit. Have you two had breakfast?"
Xi Luting was quite an early riser, but Pan Ge was not. Pan Ge usually wouldn’t get out of bed until her alarm rang.
Sure enough, Pan Ge quickly shook her head.
"No!"
Without waiting for them to discuss, Han Lie decisively took charge. "Then let’s go. We can get something to eat in the cafeteria."
Just as Pan Ge nodded, Xi Luting frowned. "I’ve already eaten, and I have a class for my major next."
I knew your class schedules were different! Han Lie chuckled to himself.
A simple trip to the cafeteria—wasn’t this the perfect way to separate them?
Once you’re both alone, I’ll let you know why flowers are so red!
MWAHAHAHA...
Just as he was feeling smug, Pan Ge suddenly clutched Xi Luting’s arm fiercely. "What major class? Skip it!"
Damn!
Han Lie was dumbfounded.
He looked nervously toward Xi Luting, not daring to show any expectation, fearing it might prompt her.
But then, after a moment’s thought, Xi Luting nodded slightly.
"Alright. It’s almost finals anyway, and I’m also preparing a program for the Arts Department..."
Han Lie’s vision suddenly dimmed. Was this a pit he had dug for himself?
Damn it all!
Forcing a smile, Han Lie bared his teeth at them, then with a sweep of his arm, pulled both Ding Ding and Little Northeast into a tight headlock.
"How long has it been since you two paid your respects to your big brother, huh?! Oh man, I’ve missed you guys to death..."
COUGH! COUGH!
The two unlucky lads turned beet-red, veins bulging, nearly suffocating on the spot.
In the end, it was Pan Ge who intervened. "Why are you bullying them? Who are you really angry with?"
"No, no."
Han Lie chuckled and let go. Just as he was about to make another friendly overture, those two vanished like smoke.
Gone so soon?!
It figured. Ding Ding knew what he’d done, and Little Northeast knew what Ding Ding had done. As partners in misfortune, it was no wonder they ran.
So Han Lie followed the two women toward the cafeteria, his right hand swinging vigorously behind his back.
The little assistant was quite sharp. From the very beginning, she hadn’t moved forward. Now, she headed straight for the administrative building, preparing to hold down the fort in the Arts Department office.
She was preparing to intercept those little minxes like Wang Tianqing and Yin Qin; she couldn’t let anyone else get involved, or the boss would be finished...
On the way, Han Lie tried to make small talk.
"What’s with you two? Haven’t seen you for a few days, and you’ve gotten so close, huh?"
Pan Ge, well, she was wildest in bed but the biggest tease off it. With a single sentence, she left Han Lie speechless.
"This humble servant is distressed, Your Majesty!"
Her beautiful eyes glinted as she sighed. "You haven’t summoned this humble servant for a full week, Your Majesty, and it’s been ten days since you’ve taken Ting Ting out to a hotel. With Your Majesty’s Constitution and needs, is this normal?
This humble servant’s heart is both grieved and anxious. I had no choice but to discuss with Noble Consort Xi how we might better alleviate Your Majesty’s burdens..."
Bloody hell!
