Reborn with Consumption System-Chapter 376 - 190: Messing with Minds? That’s My Specialty!
Pan Ge’s seat was right opposite the VIP area, very close, so Han Lie had seen everything that had transpired.
Flirting with a pretty girl is a very normal thing, whether it succeeds or fails.
Sometimes, that kind of well-intentioned courage even deserves praise.
So, at first, Han Lie didn’t pay much attention; he believed Pan Ge would handle it well.
But Pan Ge had underestimated the roguishness of the gym’s members.
They weren’t members with thin skins.
Any kind of combat sport awakens a man’s primal instincts and violent tendencies. Those who train in boxing often become more confident, more aggressive, and more likely to take themselves too seriously.
Now, they had stopped pestering Pan Ge and were instead trying to pressure Han Lie by spectating—further proof they were taking themselves too seriously.
Brother Lie was getting a little unhappy.
He had just furrowed his brow when suddenly a cheer erupted from below.
"Nice! Beautiful!"
Dammit! Am I putting on a show for you bastards?
Han Lie dropped his stance and walked toward the edge of the practice area, glaring intently at the person who had cheered.
It was a young man, about twenty-five, around 180 cm tall, somewhat handsome. He had a devil-may-care grin and cocked his head as he sized up Han Lie.
"What’s up, bro? Don’t like Big Brother complimenting you?"
The head-tilted Dragon King clearly liked to stir up trouble for no reason. He was sly, though; knowing a direct provocation wouldn’t work, he focused on messing with people’s minds instead.
Han Lie instantly judged that conventional methods were meaningless against this type of person.
So, what now? Simple. Start cursing. They want to mess with people’s minds? I’m an expert at that.
"Didn’t your mom ever teach you not to hit on girls who have boyfriends?"
Han Lie, hands propped on the ropes, looked down at the other man.
There was no aura of domineering authority about him, but his contempt and scorn were enough to infuriate anyone.
"The way you tilt your head and shake your leg, you look like some low-life street punk. Who gave you the guts to strut around like a peacock in front of my girlfriend?
"Do you even know what self-awareness means?
"What, you think acting tough in front of me will make my girlfriend see you differently?
"Or do you think you need to reclaim the pride you lost in front of my girlfriend by challenging me?
"Why are you so sensitive and insecure?
"Deprived of love as a child? Desperate for attention? Used to throwing tantrums to get your parents’ attention?
"If you’re unhappy, does the whole world have to step aside for you?
"Man, you’re seriously lacking some proper upbringing. A guy nearly thirty, still expecting people out in society to act like indulgent parents and coddle you? Seriously..."
"Fuck your mother!"
The head-tilted Dragon King completely exploded. His eyes turned bloodshot as he roared furiously, ready to charge.
The guy was so fierce his friends couldn’t even hold him back.
Well, it’s not surprising. Han Lie’s verbal assault was indeed devastating; anyone with the slightest mental weakness couldn’t withstand it.
He hadn’t used a single swear word, yet it was enough to make someone completely lose their composure—a total breakdown.
Thus, with his rage buff fully stacked, he yelled, "For the Horde!" and charged recklessly, only to be intercepted by the coaching team a few steps later.
Then he could only rage impotently.
"Let me go! Damn it! You little bastard, come here! Got the guts for a one-on-one?"
He struggled like a skinned frog.
Han Lie, however, ignored him completely, turning his head to look at Michelle, who had hurried over.
Michelle had just taken a short break, never expecting such a mess to erupt so quickly. Her face was stern, and veins throbbed visibly at her temples from irritation.
"What happened?!"
Han Lie’s sparring partner was about to answer when Han Lie suddenly extended an arm, gently pushing him aside.
Then, Han Lie took two steps toward Michelle. He looked into the female champion’s eyes and asked nonchalantly,
"Should I not have paid the money so early?!"
Michelle’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. She looked up, carefully scrutinizing Han Lie’s expression.
She only saw a rock-hard resolve.
And an immense pressure, intangible yet palpably real, that transcended mere words.
"Hey, hey, hey! Easy!"
Michelle quickly raised her hands and patted Han Lie’s shoulder gently, stating seriously, "Without a doubt, you are our VIP and my most valued student and client. I will find out what happened as soon as possible and then give you an explanation, okay?"
Michelle, who had come to Huaxia to strike gold by opening a boxing gym, was naturally very smart and decisive.
In just an instant, she realized Han Lie’s dissatisfaction was intense, and she immediately made a decision.
—Regardless of who was right or wrong, she would side with Han Lie. That was that.
Amateur boxing wasn’t a very expensive sport. Including a membership card, tuition, and consumables, forty thousand a year was more than enough; with some economizing, even twenty thousand would do.
But Han Lie had paid two hundred thousand—five times the typical amount.
This wasn’t just about the money already earned; it signified much more.
Michelle felt it was her duty to resolve any trouble that arose within the gym for Han Lie. This was the most basic respect owed to a VIP who was both influential and willing to spend generously.
"Tango! I think I need an explanation!"
The female champion didn’t directly question the restrained head-tilted Dragon King. Instead, she furiously berated the on-site coaching staff.
The flesh on her face trembled violently as she questioned them, veins bulging on her thick neck. She looked formidable.
Tango, a middle-aged white man, gave an embarrassed smile and was about to speak, but Han Lie interjected once again.
"That’s enough, Michelle. I don’t need an explanation from you. I prefer to provide my own."
