Reborn to Outshine My Ex and His White Moonlight-Chapter 1124: A Strange Dream
Chu Yin glanced at the time and explained, "I took a few days off from the director. I can’t delay the filming progress, especially since Fan Yun is almost at his limit."
Speaking of Fan Yun, Chu Yin had already received three calls from him complaining in tears.
He said the psychological pressure was too much for him, and every time he saw Zhang Shutong, he felt like she could see through him.
Even though his acting was good, the more he wanted to act well, the more he felt he wasn’t doing well.
This complex feeling was tormenting him.
Chu Yin couldn’t bear to see her friend suffer like this because of her, so she decided to return a day early.
On the way to the airport, Lin Zhiyi kept reminding Chu Yin.
"Make sure to tell me if anything happens."
"Zhiyi, it’s fine. You should start enjoying your life now. Whether it’s me, Liao Yi, or anyone else, we’ll all live well just like you."
After saying that, Chu Yin was about to get out of the car.
At that moment, Lin Zhiyi slipped a string of beads onto her hand.
Chu Yin curiously asked, "What is this?"
Lin Zhiyi explained, "I went up the mountain with my mother to get it. We won’t be able to meet often in the future, so treat it as a talisman for protection."
Chu Yin touched the shiny beads, "Thank you. I’ll be going then."
...
After bidding farewell, Chu Yin saw Sang Li waiting in the VIP room at the airport.
She went up and took Sang Li’s arm, "Have you been waiting long?"
Sang Li put down his phone and sighed slightly, "I feel like you don’t care about me as much anymore."
Chu Yin gave him a gentle push, "Such mushiness. I haven’t even mentioned you yet, always whispering with the Third Young Master, what big plans are you two discussing?"
Sang Li didn’t answer, but he noticed the string of beads on her wrist.
It didn’t look like a valuable item, and he hadn’t seen her wear it before.
"What is this?"
"Zhiyi and Second Madam went up the mountain to get a peace charm and gave me one."
"She really seems to care about you."
"I don’t know why, but Zhiyi always tells me to be safe, making me feel like something’s going to happen." Chu Yin joked.
Sang Li’s expression darkened, and he tightly grasped Chu Yin’s hand.
Chu Yin winced in pain, "It hurts."
Sang Li looked at her solemnly, "Don’t say things like that lightly."
"Oh. Don’t be so tense, let’s go, it’s time to board."
Chu Yin didn’t mind, linking arms with Sang Li and boarding the plane through the VIP passage.
Once seated, she drifted off to sleep.
Maybe it was because she was on a plane, but even in her dream, she felt a sensation of weightlessness.
Her body floated uncontrollably.
When she came to her senses, she realized it wasn’t weightlessness.
She was actually in water.
Suddenly, she heard the cries of children in her ears.
She turned around immediately and found two children struggling in the water.
Chu Yin struggled through the water to reach them, and only then did she realize she knew them.
"Little Xi? Little Yi?"
The two children had no idea what she was saying and clung to her.
"Auntie, I’m scared." Little Yi cried out.
Little Xi gritted his teeth, enduring the cold water, and pointed to the table in the middle, "Get on the table quickly."
Chu Yin pulled the two children towards the table, and once they were on it and catching their breath, she realized she had been here before.
It was the cargo box on the Bai Family’s boat.
How could she be back here?
Little Yi said, "Brother, I’m so cold, are we going to die soon?"
Little Xi hugged her, "No, we won’t be in trouble."
But the water was rising fast, almost reaching the table.
Chu Yin came to her senses and remembered the scene where Lin Zhiyi opened the vent to let the children out.
She pointed ahead, "The vent. Little Xi, I’ll lift you up, use the hairpin on my head to unscrew the bolt."
"Okay."
Little Xi climbed onto Chu Yin’s shoulders and began using the pin to turn the bolt.
But due to the wetness from the seawater, the pin slipped in his hand.
Little Yi shouted, "Brother, hurry up, the water is rising."
Soon the water reached Chu Yin’s chest, and she gritted her teeth to support Little Xi.
But suddenly the cargo box flipped, and the three of them were thrown against the wall.
The water rushed in.
Chu Yin saw Little Yi choking on water and reached out to hold her up.
"Why is this happening? Why is everything different?"
Originally, Chu Yin held onto the two children, but soon they stopped moving, and she sank down.
"No, don’t..."
"Chu Yin? Chu Yin? Wake up."
Sang Li’s voice suddenly rang out.
Chu Yin immediately woke up, covered in cold sweat.
Seeing a familiar face, she immediately hugged Sang Li.
Sang Li asked, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
Chu Yin leaned against his shoulder, "I had a nightmare. I felt like I... like I..."
Sang Li sensed the trembling in her voice and softly asked, "Like what?"
Chu Yin looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears.
"I felt like I was dead. I was holding Little Yi and Little Xi’s hands, wanting so much to protect them, but I..."
"It was just a dream, everything is over now."
Sang Li interrupted Chu Yin’s words, pulling her into his arms.
Chu Yin nodded, feeling the coldness of having been submerged in seawater.
Sang Li patted her back while looking out of the airplane window.
As soon as they got off the plane, Sang Li went to the restroom.
Zhou Zhao, who had been with him for years, understood his intention.
After walking a bit behind Sang Li, he spoke up, "Young Master, do you need anything?"
Sang Li washed his hands and replied coolly, "Speed up the Bai Hui situation."
Zhou Zhao nodded, "There’s been progress with Fan Yun. Zhang Shutong hinted that he should show some affection, it seems she’s planning to target Chu Yin."
"Then add fuel to the fire." Sang Li gazed at Zhou Zhao through the mirror.
"Yes."
Turning around, Sang Li resumed his calm demeanor.
When he returned to Chu Yin’s side, he was composed.
"Let’s go, I need to head directly to the set." Chu Yin said.
"Are you really okay now?" Sang Li looked at her slightly pale face.
"I’m fine, it was just a nightmare."
Chu Yin shook her head, though in her heart, she couldn’t stop thinking about the dream scene.
It was so real, as if she had experienced it herself.
...
On set.
After getting out of the car, Chu Yin first greeted the director and then gave him some specialties from Jing City.
Then, she carried the coffee she bought to find Fan Yun.
As soon as he saw Chu Yin, he was on the verge of tears.
"You’re finally back, please save me."
"Brother, what’s wrong? You even have wrinkles now." Chu Yin joked.
"What?"
Fan Yun snatched the little mirror from the assistant’s hand, examining himself all over.
Chu Yin set down the coffee, "I’m kidding, you’re still as charming as ever, though you can’t compare to my boyfriend."
Fan Yun put his phone down, "You’re unbelievable, I’m exhausted, and you still have the nerve to show off your love life."
"Back to the point, what’s going on? I saw you hinting at romance on my way here."
"It’s just... Mr. Sang’s idea to cooperate, but Zhang Shutong thinks I’m hopelessly in love with her, making it even harder for me."
Fan Yun had used everything he learned in his life to act as a boyfriend.
Apparently, Zhang Shutong believed it, and thus was both openly and subtly ordering him to do various things.
With a woman he didn’t like or was even afraid of, Fan Yun was extremely uncomfortable.
