The fork stopped in front of Adrian's mouth.

Adrian paused.

She quickly moved to the couch area and settled in a corner before turning on the TV.

The remote landed on the carpet as Adrian leaned in and bit her lips.

''W-What...'' she managed to mumble when his lips retreated for a moment but then he captured her lips in a punishing kiss.

His hand grabbed her shoulder with an unusual force and she winced in the pain.

Suddenly, his grip on her shoulder loosened but his fingers caressed the spot again and again as if he was cleaning something.

The kiss had muddled her mind but in her hazy state, she suddenly remembered how Max had grabbed her shoulders.

Did... Adrian see it?

He would not be that petty right...

But then, this was Adrian King. He would definitely be that petty.

Perhaps sensing her absent-mindedness, he intensified the force with which he kissed her while nibbling her bottom lips.

And by the time he released her lips, her chest heaved frantically as she tried to catch her breath.
