Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path-Chapter 843: The Big Hand
Gu Lingling ran downstairs, thinking of several plans to have the Aunt in charge help her open the door. But to her surprise, when she got to the door, it was already open.
And her Brother Yang had already parked the car there, waiting for her.
"You... why are you here?" Gu Lingling covered her mouth in shock and then quickly said without waiting for Yang Yunhai to speak, "Quickly drive me to the hospital."
"The Kyoto Military District General Hospital, Grandpa Su’s hospital." She added.
She didn’t care who the alert was about. In the Kyoto Military District General Hospital, the only person she knew was Mr. Su. As long as nothing happened to him, she couldn’t bother with anyone else.
"That bird," Yang Yunhai explained to Gu Lingling in the car, "I had it follow you, and I can communicate with it mentally, so I could know about your situation as soon as possible."
He didn’t mean to monitor her, but to protect her.
"Really?" Gu Lingling was taken aback, "Then if I miss you in the future, will it know too?"
With one sentence, she instantly put the originally somewhat nervous Yang Yunhai at ease.
His little girl.
Just trusts him like that.
Unconditionally and without reason.
"Yeah." Yang Yunhai blushed from the sudden confession.
"I dreamed of that scene again." Gu Lingling, however, continued without any lingering romantic thoughts, "This time, I not only saw a pair of hands but also saw the emblem on her nurse’s uniform."
"Is she a nurse from the military hospital?" Yang Yunhai asked even though his words were quite certain.
Gu Lingling nodded.
Yang Yunhai pressed the accelerator again, and the car sped ahead quickly.
What should have been a thirty-minute drive to the hospital was reduced to just over ten minutes by him.
Along the way, the two said nothing more and just focused on the road ahead.
And at this moment, the military inpatient department at the hospital was quiet.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open, revealing a small cart and a pair of feet wearing white cloth shoes walking out; judging by the way they walked, it seemed to be a woman.
The woman pushed the cart gently down the silent corridor.
She arrived at a ward, glanced inside through a crack in the door, and then continued on to enter the room next door.
It wasn’t long before she quietly backed out of the room, moved to the room she just passed, and pushed open the door to enter.
Su Encai was dozing on the sofa, and when the door was pushed open, he suddenly woke up, "Is it the nurse doing rounds?"
The nurse nodded, "Just checking your blood pressure and temperature."
This was a task performed every night.
Seeing this, Su Encai stood up and opened the old man’s bedroom door to allow the nurse to push the cart inside.
After the nurse entered, she just took the blood pressure monitor from the cart when she heard some noise outside, as if someone was hitting the wall next door, "Could you please check for me?"
Su Encai frowned but still nodded.
Seeing him go out, the nurse breathed a sigh of relief.
Originally intending to take out the blood pressure monitor, she instead took out a syringe from the drawer of the cart. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The liquid inside was already prepared.
She glanced at Mr. Su lying in the hospital bed and then, with trembling hands, moved the needle toward Mr. Su’s arm.
The needle hadn’t been inserted yet when her hand was caught by a large palm.
