Chapter 966: Chapter 960: Going Home_1
“Lele, I remember I’ve taught you how to do it too, can’t you make it yourself? You said mom and dad are busy, how can they find the time to cook for you?” Qin Xue patted Qin Jiale’s shoulder and commented.
“Sis, I can only stay at home for one day before I have to go back to school, when am I supposed to find the time?” Qin Jiale voiced out her frustration to Qin Xue, it’s not that she didn’t want to do it herself, she simply had no time.
“Alright, you all are so busy! Fine, I’ll go home and make extra for you to bring to school, is that okay?” Qin Xue recalled her school days when she barely had time to stay at home except for during the holidays. But once on vacation, she, Yingying, and Chenchen would all work at Mr. Chu’s company, leaving them no free time. Every time, their grandma would prepare meals for them to be delivered.
So, after she heard her sister’s plea, Qin Xue didn’t reprove her, but instead promised to cook for her.
“Really? Thanks, sis!” Qin Jiale was pleasantly surprised at her sister’s promise and felt extremely satisfied.
“By the way, brother-in-law, you are currently studying at school, right?” Qin Jiale asked Chu Molin.
“Yes, little sister, do you have any questions?” Chu Molin replied when he heard his name.
“What are the qualifications needed if I also want to apply to military school?” Qin Jiale asked Chu Molin.
“You want to apply to military school? How come I’ve never heard you mention this?” Nangong Shulan interrupted before Chu Molin even had a chance to respond.
“Mom, I was just asking. I still have two years until my college entrance exams.” Qin Jiale moaned, not knowing how to explain that Ye Li had threatened her to apply to the Imperial Capital’s military school.
She was on the verge of tears thinking about it, she shouldn’t have brought up the subject. Now she didn’t have a choice but to apply. She was helpless when that guy went crazy.
“You can’t join the army,” Nangong Shulan directly rejected after hearing what she said.
“Mom, that’s not fair. You didn’t let my brother go, and now you won’t let me go either. Why?” Qin Jiale couldn’t understand why her mom opposed their joining the army so much.
“There’s no need for so many ‘whys’, not letting you go won’t harm you.” Nangong Shulan looked at her daughter. She only had this one daughter for the Qins, and she felt that she owed it to her husband to not let her join the army. As for Qin Xue and her siblings, she didn’t allow them to join because

someone else in their family was already in the army. She didn’t want anything to happen to them because she felt indebted to the Qins’ nurturing her, and so she forbade them all from going.
“Dictatorship,” Qin Jiale muttered under her breath.
Qin Xue, hearing this, lightly smacked her arm, signaling her not to talk to their mother in that manner. She’d spent time with Nangong Shulan and knew she wouldn’t arbitrarily interfere with her children’s decisions without a reason. In fact, hadn’t she just agreed to let her brother join the army?
After feeling her sister’s touch, Qin Jiale grimaced. Luckily, she didn’t really want to join the military, otherwise, there might be a real uproar.
As for Qin Lei, he just glanced at his wife and didn’t say anything. After arriving at the parking spot, Qin Lei asked Chu Molin to place the luggage on top. He was initially going to push the cart but Chu Molin took over. So, Qin Lei ended up carrying a child instead. The group then used flashlights to navigate their way back home in the dark.
“Xiu, it’s dark out, be careful,” Qin Xue said to Fang Xiu as she arrived at her side.
“Mhm, I know. You also be careful,” Fang Xiu replied in sign language. She had a flashlight in her hand so she was okay. But with so many people, other than Qin Lei’s flashlight guiding Chu Molin with the trolley in the front, only she and Nangong Shulan had flashlights, which meant not everyone had light. Everyone had to be really mindful when walking in such conditions.
