"Three... Two... One... Go!"

As Alex jumped into the pool, the cold water still paralyzed his entire body for a second. But after recovering from the initial shock, his legs instinctively kick against the ledge.

The instant speed boost launched his entire body forward like a torpedo as he tightly packed his legs together.

His arms were anchored forward, breaking through the water like a diamond until the slower speed forced him to transition into freestyle.

With every kick and stroke, his speed was only getting faster and faster, reaching almost a third of the way there as he tilted his head to catch his first breath.

Along the way, he even noticed he could open his eyes underwater without feeling any sharp pain.

"Almost done!"

Just as Alex reached the halfway mark, he noticed waves of water appearing at the finish line, breaking the pool's calm water.

"Crap. Of course, it's not that easy."

With only seconds to think, he quickly dived underwater, dodging the rip tides that completely disrupted the entire water's surface.

"Whew."

After swimming back up to the water's surface, the finish line was now only a few strokes left ahead of him.

With no surprises, his hand touches the end ledge, ending the race as he lifts himself out of the water.

"Your time was twenty-three seconds... You're 4th place in the leaderboard."

"Not bad."

The moment Alex opened the changing room door, he was surprised to see that he had returned to the store earlier.

Turning around, the pool was completely gone, replaced by the store exit. All of his clothes had also reverted to normal.

If it weren't for the slight strain on his arms, he wouldn't have even been able to tell he had swam at all.

"This really is an archmage world..."

Alex thought to himself as he returned to the potion aisles, grabbing the energy potion before heading over to the sofa.

Sitting down, he popped the cap open, chugging it down before putting the empty glass case aside.

Within seconds, he could feel his energy regaining, and his legs and arms were once again full of energy.

"How many parts of the exam is there...?"

As Alex stared at the clock, he saw that he had nine minutes left before the next obstacle course started.

"Hey, can you show me the leaderboard, light orb?" Alex asked as he nudged his finger against the light orb.

After waiting for a few seconds, a leaderboard projection appeared before him.

"What the fuck? This can't be right... Ain't no way this is the actual score."

Alex couldn't believe his eyes as the leaderboard showed him in second place, with an average score of 180, slightly below the first-place score of 195.

Third place, meanwhile, was at 150, with fourth place having an even bigger gap. Not a single name on the leaderboard was familiar to the running leaderboard.

"Jesus... I guess people really don't swim in this world."

As Alex continued to scroll down, he eventually found Camille in 56th place. Everyone he knew in the classroom was all out of the top 100.

Scrolling all the way to the bottom, he eventually found Mary, who was dangerously near the end of the entire school with an average score of 55.

"This exam is not fair to her at all... She's so much younger than her peers."

Alex thought to himself as he closed the leaderboard. All he could do for her was pray that the upcoming part wouldn't be as hard.

---

Evening.

As the last exams finally wrapped up, Alex had finally returned to the real world. His mind was beyond exhausted, yet his body was more energetic than ever.

All he wanted to do was to lay on the bed and close his eyes. Unfortunately, a loud voice snapped him back into the moment.

"Congratulations, everyone... I'm sure everyone is tired and can't wait to go home. But let me give an important announcement first."

Everyone in the crowd stood in silence as they waited for the school principal to reveal his announcement.

"Ahem, due to a discussion I had with the archmage, this exam will no longer count towards your graduation status."

"What?"

All of the teachers on the stage looked a little confused, almost as if they hadn't been informed beforehand once again.

At the same time, hundreds of thousands of students on the ground all let out a sigh of relief from the news.

"Of course, just because it doesn't count towards the graduation status doesn't mean we don't have prizes! Let's all give a round of applause for our top 100!"

"In the first place, a student from Mr.Falkland's class had achieved...."

Ten minutes later.

After watching twenty different students head up to the stage, Alex finally couldn't take it anymore.

He began heading towards the exit, moving through the crowds of people before reaching a relatively empty spot near the campus entrance.

Unfortunately, the campus door was locked, and a security guard stood right next to it, watching over everyone.

"Alex, over here!"

The voice made Alex turn to the right, only to see Sophia and Mary, along with her friends, standing right next to a fence.

"Where are you going, Alex?" Camille curiously asked as she grabbed Alex's shoulder and pulled him into their group.

"I just want to leave. This is so boring," Alex complained as he looked back at the Principal, who continued to give prizes to the winners.

"Didn't you get 50th place?" Sophia questioned.

"Yeah... What about it?"

"That's within the top 100! You can get a prize for that!" Camile pointed out, her face looking a little jealous over the score.

"And? Do I look like I need this kind of prize?"

Hearing Alex's grumpy tone, all six quickly realized he was not happy with the results he had gotten.

"From Miss Amy's class. Alex Reid. Please come up to collect your prize."

"Come on, Alex, don't stand here."

Sophia quickly shoved Alex forward, forcing him to walk through the crowds of people before reaching the staircase.

"Congrats, Alex!" Miss Amy whispered, her face looking extremely happy as she gently patted onto his shoulder.

Alex didn't say anything back, but his face maintained a smile as he continued to walk toward the Principal.

"Here's your prize."

"Thank you."

After a short handshake and accepting the small little box, he headed back down to the crowd before meeting up with his sister again.

"Alex, what's inside the box?" Mary curiously asked.

"I don't know... Here, you can open it."

Before Sophia could stop Alex from handing the box over, Mary's hand had already reached over to open it.

"What is this thing?" Mary wondered, taking out a small circular object wrapped in wafer paper.

"Look like a candy," Chloe commented.

Sophia quickly snapped the box away, taking out a small notecard that had some words written on it.

"This candy will help you regain mana in a short period——"

"Actually, I'm going to keep this for myself."

Alex instantly grabbed the candy out of Mary's hand and put it into the box before going into his pocket.

"Who was the one who didn't care about the prize earlier." Evelyn jokingly asked.

Seeing Alex shyly scratching his head, all six of them couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as the announcement on the stage continued.

---

After standing in the crowd for ten more minutes, the Principal finally finished announcing the winner.

"Can we all give one last round of applause for our winners?"

Everyone in the crowd started clapping, but their face looked either bored or tired. Even the one who got a prize looked bored out of their mind.

"Ahem, that's all for today's physical exam. I hope everyone has a good score for Wednesday's Final exam!"

Within seconds, crowds of people all headed towards the open gate, including Alex and the five of them walking onto the streets.

"You guys heading back home?" Camille asked as the seven of them stopped at a nearby crosswalk.

"Yeah...You guys heading back to your dorms?" Sophia questioned back.

"Yep... Well, see you guys tomorrow."

"See ya."

As the four of them went towards the other side, the other three began to head back home.

"Alex, why are you so grumpy earlier?" Mary suddenly asked, her face filled with curiosity and determination to know the answer.

"Do I really look that grumpy?"

Seeing both of his sisters nodding, Alex shook his head a little before realizing how childish he acted earlier.

"Sorry about earlier... I was just a little bumped out by the score."

"Alex, you're the only one in our class that made it to the top 100. You should be proud." Sophia pointed out.

"I know. But I could have made it to the top ten."

Sophia and Mary both fell into silence as they remembered seeing the scoreboard just seconds before the second last physical exam ended.
