Reborn: I'll Never Fail My Childhood Sweetheart Again-Chapter 161 - 83: Huang Panpan’s Letter Arrives (Part 4)
As soon as he entered the study, Dai Chuangxing asked directly, "What do you want? Just say it!"
Vice Director Dai had already made up his mind.
His wife was absolutely unwilling to return the big TV and air conditioner.
If the other party wanted him to do something against principle, it was absolutely impossible, he would rather buy it with his own money.
Since Dai Chuangxing got straight to the point, Su Zelin didn’t dawdle either.
"Vice Director Dai, this is the thing, I am a freshman in the Finance Management class at the Finance Institute."
"I have an uncle, he noticed that many students at the Finance Institute have poor family conditions, can’t afford computers, and some prospective graduates have to run to internet cafes all day while working on their graduation projects. So he wants to invest in a digital store on campus to rent computers at reasonable prices to those who are about to graduate!"
To put it bluntly, it’s about making money on campus, but to have a justified reason for others to help him, he needs a good name to cut in.
Dai Chuangxing thought, you have a damn uncle, you’re that uncle, aren’t you!
However, upon hearing Su Zelin frankly say he’s a new student of the Finance Institute, he was a bit surprised.
This kid sure has guts, daring to use such means just as he’s starting university, directly bribing the institute leader.
Seems like a rich second generation.
"You want to open a computer store? There’s already one in the school planning to transfer ownership; you could take it over for a relatively low cost."
Dai Chuangxing replied casually.
"My relative has already taken over that store, but it’s not enough. He hopes to help more students from poor families, in addition to those prospective graduates who can’t afford computers for their projects, by providing part-time opportunities to impoverished students. So he hopes to rent out all those idle storefronts together and expand!"
Dai Chuangxing was shocked: "You want all the storefronts? Uh, I mean your relative."
Getting all the storefronts would mean at least 200 square meters, which is not a tiny computer store.
"Yes!"
Su Zelin nodded seriously.
"Your relative has a good idea, but I must remind you, doing computer business at the Finance Institute is not a good choice, those storefronts earlier were all engaged in computer and accessory business, and later all closed down!"
Dai Chuangxing thought it might be a rich kid’s impulse, so he kindly advised.
"Vice Director Dai, thank you for your reminder. I am well aware of these things, but I personally think the computer market in the Finance Institute is not small; the stores couldn’t make it mainly because of their own reasons!"
As he spoke, Su Zelin took a document out of his canvas bag: "Here is my relative’s investment plan, please have a look, Vice Director Dai."
Dai Chuangxing took it and, after a few glances, his eyes widened.
This was an extremely detailed investment plan!
It included each project’s funding, renovation planning and construction progress, number of employees to be hired, and so on... It even included several design sketches.
Well over dozens of pages, covering nearly all aspects and details, this wasn’t the kind of amateur proposal that a rich kid could write!
Moreover, although it’s a commercial enterprise, the aspect linked with the Finance Institute was brilliantly attractive.
The idle storefronts are put to good use, generating revenue for the Institute.
Renting computers at low prices helps prospective graduates who can’t afford computers for their projects.
Part-time opportunities are provided to financially challenged students.
Internship opportunities are offered to students who are eager for social practice.
...
The whole proposal strongly focuses on the benefits to the Finance Institute.
Clearly, the other party is for profit, mainly selling computers.
But Dai Chuangxing had to admit that if this commercial plan were implemented, it would indeed solve some problems existing in the campus.
In other words, he found all the righteous excuses for approval.
This matter doesn’t violate principles.
The Finance Institute’s leaders, more or less, each control part of the commercial field in the campus.
Those with the greatest benefit, like the cafeteria department, are the dean’s exclusive area, others shouldn’t interfere, but some other industries below, like small supermarkets, milk tea shops, laundry shops, clothing stores, sports goods shops, are shared with others.
Dai Chuangxing kept himself clear of any interests, and if he proposed to rectify and rent out several warehouses, other leaders would surely give face and agree.
Moreover, that location isn’t good, the previous computer shops almost closed down, no one’s making money, who would be so full as to not give him this favor.
Getting it approved wouldn’t be a big problem.
However, Dai Chuangxing was very cautious: "Are you sure you really want to take over several storefronts? According to your plan, the investment needed would be considerable. I figure at least a hundred thousand!"
Just the renovation alone, for over two hundred square meters of storefront, couldn’t be done without thousands, plus stocking up and other miscellaneous things, roughly estimated to start at a hundred thousand, and that’s the most conservative estimate.
"No problem, my uncle is prepared with enough money; the scale of such a store must be large. Small fuss won’t work!"
Su Zelin was full of confidence: "Everything is ready now, just waiting for the eastern wind!"
This east wind was Dai Chuangxing giving his word to let him sign for the storefronts.
