Chapter 115: Chapter 115 Supreme Scoundrel (2)_1

"The girl was talking about money. Not too much, but at least enough to sustain her," Shangguan Qing asked calmly.

"Yeah, a thousand bucks a month is totally enough to keep her going, no problem. And as long as it’s something she wants, we can satisfy her," the two nodded in agreement. Which woman in these alleys didn’t like to shop? A piece of clothing would cost at most a hundred, enough to keep them happy and obedient. They could afford such clothes.

"Heh, the clothes on the girl right now are worth a million. Even if we don’t need ones that expensive, her usual clothing would also cost tens of thousands. How many can you buy?" Shangguan Qing asked again, his voice still calm.

"A million?" Everyone’s mouths gaped open. Those living in this small alley were from the lower-middle class, and a thousand in pocket money a month was already quite a bit. But now, hearing about clothing worth a million, it was no wonder they were astonished. In a lifetime, they could never earn that kind of money.

"Let’s talk about power, then. At a minimum, a mayor might barely be suitable for the girl. A small-time thug from an alley doesn’t have power. He’s just a hoodlum." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Shangguan Qing’s words once again left the gang of thugs unable to regain their composure. Okay, they were provoked, but they were also being looked down upon.

"As for talent, getting into an ordinary university would be considered passable," Shangguan You took over the conversation, a smile flickering in her deep eyes as she looked at the group of thugs before her. She really hadn’t expected this group of hoodlums to be so entertaining.

"Blondie, Greenie, you two idiots! Haven’t you noticed they’re making fun of you? Who does she think she is, needing a mayor to marry her, as if she’s some high-ranking official’s princess? Demanding a mayor and millions a month for clothes? You must be dreaming! Get them! Let them see clearly that this is our alley!" Red-haired girl roared, glaring furiously at Shangguan You.

"Just teach them a lesson, but don’t be too rough," Blondie and Greenie nodded simultaneously, agreeing with Red-haired girl. If they didn’t show these two who was boss, this girl wouldn’t follow them and wouldn’t keep her mouth shut about their demands.

"Future sister-in-law, just watch from the side! If you agree to be the boss’s girlfriend, just say the word, and we’ll let this man go!" the twenty-something thugs shouted as they charged towards Shangguan Qing.

The corners of Shangguan Qing’s and Shangguan You’s mouths twitched. Do we really look that weak?

"Girl, stay behind me. I’ll handle this," Shangguan Qing flexed his limbs, then kicked towards one of the thugs. THUD. The thug was sent flying.

"Brother Qing, I’ll help you!" A gleam of excitement flashed across Shangguan You’s face as she kicked at the thug who had just spoken. She wanted to show Shangguan Qing that she was capable of protecting herself, that she wasn’t any weaker than him.

"Girl, just be careful then." Shangguan Qing dodged the knives in their hands and threw a punch. These thugs had no real skill, just brute force, so they were easy to deal with.

"Got it!" Shangguan You replied, and with a sweeping kick, she knocked all the surrounding thugs to the ground.

In a matter of moments, all two dozen or so thugs were down, groaning in pain on the ground.

Shangguan You clapped her hands and stood beside Shangguan Qing, looking at the sprawled-out thugs. Then, with an amused glint in her eyes, she looked at Blondie, Greenie, and the trembling Red-haired girl.

A piercing horn blared, followed by a strong beam of light. Two vehicles stopped in the alley. SLAP. The car doors opened, and several soldiers emerged, saluting Shangguan You and Shangguan Qing.

"Young Master Qing, Miss Shangguan, it’s good you’re unharmed. We finally found you. The Secretary is waiting at home for you both."

"Alright. We know," Shangguan Qing nodded.

"Young Master Qing, how should we deal with these people?"

"Don’t bother with them. They’re just a bunch of thugs," Shangguan You spoke calmly, drawing everyone’s gaze. She then walked up to Blondie and Greenie and said softly, "Now that they’re all down, we can go, right?"

"Yes, yes!" Blondie and Greenie vigorously nodded their heads. They saw the real guns in the soldiers’ hands and noted the respect these soldiers showed to the pair. Recalling their earlier claim that only a mayor might barely be worthy of her, the two thugs suddenly wished the ground would swallow them whole, or that they could just faint.

"Let’s go, Brother Qing. Uncle and Grandpa must be worried," Shangguan You said, linking arms with Shangguan Qing. They got back into the car and disappeared from the alley under the baffled gazes of Blondie and Greenie.

「In the military compound.」

Shangguan Zhi, along with Shangguan Yu and his wife, Liu Ruoling, were pacing anxiously, their faces fraught with worry. They hadn’t expected that Youyou, so soon after returning, would be kidnapped on her way back from a party.

And considering Shangguan Qing’s skills, the fact that he apparently hadn’t resisted and had been taken away was deeply concerning.

As the minutes ticked by and the search parties had yet to return, their hearts sank further and further.

"Dad, don’t worry. With Qingqing’s skills, Youyou will certainly be fine," Shangguan Yu said to Shangguan Zhi, trying to soothe his furrowed brow. In truth, he felt equally anxious and uneasy.

"Yes, Dad. Qingqing would never let anything happen to Youyou," Liu Ruoling added, trying to reassure Shangguan Zhi. But despite her words, she was far from at ease, deeply worried. If only I had known, Liu Ruoling lamented internally. I wouldn’t have let Youyou go out with Shangguan Qing tonight. If my own son had been kidnapped instead, it wouldn’t have mattered as much. He’s tough; he could have handled being tied up. Then Youyou would be here right now, smiling and keeping us company.

In Liu Ruoling’s heart, her own son was simply not as important as Shangguan You. If Shangguan Qing knew what Liu Ruoling and Shangguan Yu truly felt, he would surely demand to know which of them—he or the girl—was their actual child, given that their own flesh and blood seemed less important than Youyou.

"Alright, I know. You two sit down and wait as well," Shangguan Zhi glanced at them and gestured for them to sit. He was anxious, certainly, but not as much as they seemed to think. Their constant pacing in front of him, however, was making his head spin.
