Chapter 96: Emotions all over the place

"What’s going on?" Amelia asked when she entered the corridor leading to her class.

A crowd gathered in the hallways, and she narrowed her eyes when she heard a familiar voice.

"What do you think you are doing?"

It was Ryan’s voice.

"What do you think? I am proposing to you, Alpha Ryan. I know I am just your type. Please accept my love for you," Trinity from Moon Glow pack was kneeling before Ryan.

Amelia looked at the scene and nodded in understanding. She is happy for Ryan; the man deserves to be loved and cared for because he is genuinely good.

Honestly, after observing Aaron and Derrick, apart from her own beliefs from her past life, she hadn’t seen them doing anything bad.

She turned around, ready to move away and not spoil the environment for the girl.

"Amelia, can I talk to you?" She heard and turned to look at Alpha Killian.

Her mood turned sour, and her gaze turned stern.

"I don’t have anything to talk to you, Alpha Killian," Amelia said.

Alpha Killian instinctively reached to grab her hand, but he realized what he was doing and the number of times she had expressed her hatred for his touch. He took a deep, shaky breath and put his hand down.

"I am sorry. I didn’t mean to... please, just 10 minutes of your time is all I want,"

Killian’s eyes turned slightly teary, like those of a hopeless man.

Amelia turned her head.

She didn’t feel sympathy for the person before her. Every time her heart softened for the man, he came back with an even uglier reality, and she was done feeling pity for the wrong people.

"Okay," Amelia followed the man, still wanting to know what he wanted to talk about.

The man nodded and walked towards the other side, near the staircase.

"I heard what happened at the Lunar Ball," Killian said.

Amelia’s gaze darkened.

"What about it?" She asked.

Killian thinned his lips.

"Your husband broke Hannah’s hand," Killian said.

Amelia raised her brows. Did something like that happen? Why didn’t she know about it? Why didn’t anyone tell her anything?

And why didn’t Hannah contact her and bitch to her about it?

"And?" Amelia asked.

Killian shook his head. He didn’t want her to misunderstand that he was here to side with Hannah, which he realised he always does without knowing the whole situation.

"She deserved it," Killian said.

Amelia raised her brows at his words.

That was the last thing she expected him to say.

She didn’t give him much of a reaction, and the guy sighed.

"I don’t know what to say. It’s just that I know that you need to get out of there. He is a monster, Amelia. I won’t force you to come with me because I don’t deserve you either. You deserve someone caring who would love you like you deserve," Alpha Killian said.

Amelia scoffed.

She turned around, ready to walk.

"Thank you for saving my life that day, and I apologise for acting like that," Killian blurted out when he saw she was leaving.

She didn’t love him anymore and had no patience for him.

It only made sense. After all, he had never treated her well. He always thought she wasn’t going anywhere and could treat her however he wanted.

Now that thought was backfiring on him.

He didn’t want Hannah anymore after what she did to Amelia and how she jeopardized their reputation in the moment of jealousy. Also, he had recently seen many things that he hadn’t noticed earlier.

But he couldn’t have Amelia either. He had hurt her pretty badly. Or why would the girl who used to get scared even if the littlest things would agree to stay with a monster like Cyrus? It was because she thought she would be happy there and wanted to tease him, which wasn’t the case.

That man could hurt Amelia, and Killian didn’t want anything like that to happen.

Amelia rolled her eyes.

She was getting tired of the same topic all over again.

She shook her head with an exasperated sigh and returned to the crowd, the only way to avoid Killian.

However, as soon as she reached there, Ryan walked to her.

"I can’t accept your proposal because I am pursuing her. I like her," Ryan said boldly, and Amelia, who already knew what was happening, raised her brows.

What did he say?

She looked at him with wide eyes.

Aaron and Derrick smirked at their brother’s antics.

Trinity glared at Amelia before leaving with her rose bouquet.

Amelia didn’t know how to react as the crowd dispersed.

"Thank you. You saved my life just now," Ryan said, holding her hand between his, his gratitude written all over his face.

Amelia pursed her lips and removed her hand gently.

"It’s okay. I just hope you are not serious about it because I am married," Amelia said.

"Yes, yes, I know that," Ryan smiled.

Amelia nodded and walked inside the classroom.

Her gaze met Hannah, who sat there with her hand in a cast.

Hannah glared at her but didn’t say anything, and Amelia, who had no mood to engage in any kind of fake talking, walked to her seat.

She doodled.

Her mind was all over the place. The glow in her mark increased every time something happened, and it started giving her the jitters.

There were moments when she felt completely out of it, like she wasn’t in control of her body, and it was a little weird.

She wanted to consult someone about her condition, but didn’t know who to talk to.

She did not have that kind of friend or family to help her without judging her.

Could she talk to Kyle?

As she sat there, the breaking sound of the window caught her attention.

Her gaze widened. It was the window right beside her.

The glass broke into hundreds of shards and flew around.

Many students got injured because of the glass shards, but her...

She was sitting beside the window, but neither the glass nor the basketball that hit it hurt her.

She looked out the window and noticed a few alphas and betas playing.

"Hey! We are sorry. I hope no one got hurt." Aaron was one of the alphas, and Amelia grabbed the ball before throwing it outside.

"Aaron, you moron, you nearly hit Amelia! Are you okay, Amelia?" Cameron asked, looking straight into her eyes, and Amelia hummed, looking away.

She didn’t know if it was just her, but how he looked at her was weird. It was almost as if he knew something about her or was suspicious of her, and it was irking.

She shook her head and walked out of the class.

She was in no position to study. Her mind was too distracted to concentrate on anything.

"Is everything okay, Amelia?" Jennifer’s voice stopped her, and the girl smiled.

"Yup, why wouldn’t anything be okay?" Amelia asked.

Jennifer looked at the girl and pursed her lips. She didn’t know how to approach the topic. She was sure what she saw in the Sin Banned Pack’s forests wasn’t normal.

And then, at the party, she noticed that Amelia had gone to King Cyrus, and the royals didn’t seem to mind.

Everyone mustn’t have thought much into it because they thought she was healing Cyrus, but that kiss...that aggressive passion they both had in their eyes when kissing....

"Nothing. I just felt like asking you that," Jennifer thought against asking, still not building the courage.

Amelia nodded.

"Well, see you around," She said, walking towards the terrace.

As soon as she reached the terrace, she gasped when someone grabbed her hand and pushed her against the wall.

"What have you been doing, sweetheart?" The familiar man asked her, but for the first time, his voice was full of anger.
