Reborn as Tycoon's Wife in the Countryside-Chapter 45 - Wimp
45: 45 Wimp
45: 45 Wimp
The elderly man with white temples and a rosy complexion had a smile on his face.
He looked up and saw the anxious expression on the other person’s face, “Is there someone sick?”
“Yes, it’s a very urgent case.”
“Tell me about the situation.” The elder put down the fish he was halfway through cleaning, washed his hands, and wiped them on his apron.
Upon hearing the elder’s tone, Su Xiaofeng knew this must be Ye Cheng’s grandfather, Sixth Grandpa.
She quickly shared the situation in the mountains with Sixth Grandpa.
Upon hearing this, Sixth Grandpa’s expression grew serious, “Don’t worry, wait here for a moment, I’ll be right with you.”
He didn’t bother with the half-cleaned fish by the creek and headed towards a small courtyard next door.
Soon, the sound of a motorcycle was heard.
Sixth Grandpa emerged riding a motorcycle, carrying a medical kit over his shoulder, “Lass, I’ll take a trip with you.”
Su Xiaofeng sighed, jumped onto the motorcycle, and as soon as she was seated, Sixth Grandpa accelerated and they sped off.
Ye Cheng had just returned from the vegetable patch with a handful of chili peppers when he saw his grandfather head out on his motorcycle, but the woman sitting behind him on the motorcycle looked a bit like Su Xiaofeng.
“Brother Cheng,” Wu Ershun had already become good friends with Ye Cheng, “Is that woman on the motorcycle Su Xiaofeng?”
Ye Cheng squinted his eyes, “It should be.”
With the same outfit as before, who else could it be?
“Grandpa rushed off to a consultation like this, has something serious happened?” It looked quite urgent.
“Can you gut a fish?” Even if a disaster had occurred, with Grandpa there, there was no need to worry, “See that fish by the creek?
It’s all yours.”
Ye Cheng patted Wu Ershun’s shoulder and went into the yard.
Wu Ershun looked at his own chubby white hands, which were hardly suitable for gutting a fish, especially since he didn’t know how.
At home, he was the pampered sort, always waited on hand and foot, and certainly never having to gut fish.
Desperately, he looked at Ye Cheng, “Brother Cheng, I don’t know how.”
“Figure it out yourself.”
When Wu Ershun saw an older lady passing by on her way to do fieldwork, he waved at her, “Auntie, do you know how to gut a fish?”
“Of course, who doesn’t know how to gut a fish?” Living in the countryside and not knowing how to gut a fish would be laughable.
“See that fish there?” Wu Ershun pointed to the half-gutted fish, “I’ll give you a dollar, can you gut it for me?”
Since Brother Cheng told him to figure it out, he thought this was the best solution he could come up with.
“A dollar for a fish?” Upon hearing Wu Ershun’s proposal, Aunt Ying got up briskly from the field, started cleaning the fish, and while doing it, said, “You young people really don’t know how to live.
Buying a fish costs less than a dollar, but you’re willing to spend a dollar to have one gutted.”
…
“He’s not dead, is he?” A worker nearby, looking at the lifeless appearance of Old Su, was very concerned.
“His daughter isn’t a doctor.
Messing around like that, he’s likely to die from it.” Someone sighed.
Not being a doctor but still trying to intervene, it clearly seemed like an attempt to hasten his death.
“I’ve always heard that Su Xiaofeng has bad morals, got pregnant from an affair with a man, and now she’s even fighting over her own father’s death benefits.
Tsk, such a daughter should have been done away with at birth.” Not knowing medicine, yet rashly trying to stop the bleeding and bandage, this wasn’t helping the victim but hastening his death to get compensation.
“With Old Su looking like this, anyone with eyes can see he won’t live long.
But I never thought that Su Xiaofeng was so heartless, even with her own father.” Fellow workers looked sympathetically at Old Su, if he were to die, it would be at his own daughter’s hands.
In his youth, his wife remarried.
In middle age, his daughter became pregnant under unclear circumstances, and she even personally came forward to send him off.
For a man to end up like this, it’s truly disgraceful.
