Reborn as the Sweetheart of a Paranoid Boss-Chapter 98: Gripping Her Throat
*
By the time Selena Kensington reached the summit of Mount Serpentis, an hour had already passed.
As soon as Selena walked into the main residence, she was led by Silvester Norwood to the basement.
"How is the situation?" Selena asked.
Silvester shook his head with a heavy expression. "Even the Norwood Family’s physician has no solution, and big brother’s illness has struck more fiercely than before this time."
"It’s no longer just about letting him vent his inner violence; we had no choice but to confine him in the basement."
And just locking him in the basement took several of them...
Selena felt an indescribable heaviness in her heart.
Originally, she thought Sterling Norwood wouldn’t fall ill again, but now it was because of her...
"Sister-in-law, don’t blame yourself too much; it’s already much better. Big brother used to fall ill at least once or twice every month," Silvester reassured her.
But Selena found no comfort in his words.
Walking into the basement.
Outside were Saul Norwood, the butler, a doctor in a white coat, and Spencer Norwood, who was bandaged.
"Grandfather."
Selena spoke up.
Saul nodded gravely, "You’re here. Sterling..."
In this situation, even they were at a loss. The physician told them that the violent tendencies in Sterling Norwood’s body were unprecedentedly active.
As if some instinct had been triggered, with only thoughts of killing.
Half an hour ago, Sterling had already broken free from the chair they had secured him to.
Now, even the reinforced bulletproof glass was barely holding him back...
’Bang! Bang! Bang!’ The sound of pounding on the glass weighed like a shadow over their hearts.
"Grandfather, let me try to go in," Selena said, looking inside with concern.
The glass reflected Sterling’s disheveled figure, and his hands stained with blood.
Uncertain whether it was his blood or someone else’s.
Those deep-blue eyes were now filled with a blood-like color.
Like a vile beast that only knew slaughter.
Saul immediately shook his head, "No, absolutely not this time!"
"Sterling has lost all semblance of emotion; that instinct has completely taken hold of his heart. He can’t even recognize you now!"
Previously, Saul had also tried to have Sterling recognize him.
But it only made Sterling even more agitated.
So, Saul didn’t dare let Selena go in.
Selena gritted her teeth, "Grandfather, I’m not afraid."
All she knew was that Sterling needed her now.
No one present dared to speak; they couldn’t guarantee anything.
Because if anything happened to Selena, then when Sterling regained consciousness, he wouldn’t forgive himself.
At that time, what awaited Sterling would be self-destruction.
Looking at the silent group, Selena didn’t want to wait any longer.
While everyone was still unresponsive, Selena walked straight to the door.
Then, calmly opened the door.
Saul wanted to stop her, but the Norwood Family’s physician had a mysterious expression, "Do you remember what I said before, old head?"
"The violent tendencies of the family head were indeed pacified before, but a more deadly factor emerged, which is Lady Kensington."
"I think if even Lady Kensington can’t help now, we would be even more helpless."
The physician’s words enlightened those present, and so they did not stop her.

Meanwhile, as Selena had just entered inside.
Sterling immediately sensed her presence.
’Bang!!’ He directly threw the chair that had originally held him fixed!
Selena barely dodged, but still got a cut on her cheek from the fragments of the chair.
A very noticeable line of blood appeared on her face.
Immediately, Sterling suddenly appeared in front of her.
He grasped her neck and slowly lifted her up.
