Reborn as the Sweetheart of a Paranoid Boss-Chapter 86: Farce
If Selena Kensington hadn’t been by Sterling Norwood’s side these past few days, how could Sterling, with his temperament, have simply punished Spencer Norwood slightly?
Although Spencer is currently bedridden at home due to the punishment.
"Huh? No need to thank me."
Selena paused for a second, then realized.
*
Silvester Norwood drove the car to the entrance of Aethelgard City Hospital. Once Selena got out, Silvester said, "Sister-in-law, I’ll wait for you in the parking lot. Just call me when you’re ready."
"Alright, thank you."
Selena nodded.
The hidden camera seemed prepared early on, snapping pictures the moment Selena appeared.
Silvester noticed a flash of silver, and his eyes flickered.
He intended to warn Selena but saw her shake her head at him.
Silvester decided to let it go.
Selena was no caged canary or parasitic plant.
She didn’t have to depend on others to live.
What Silvester sensed, she did too.
But she preferred to play along.
Selena turned and walked inside.
She followed the room number Miranda Kensington had given her.
Opening the door, she saw Mason Kensington lying in bed, an IV drip in his hand.
Beside him were Cassia Lawson and Miranda Kensington.
"Sister, you’re here," Miranda said, feigning sweetness.
Selena didn’t even want to glance at her.
She spoke to Mason, lying in bed, "Uncle, the one-week deadline is up. Since you don’t want to resolve this peacefully, don’t blame me for tearing the facade."
Mason suddenly widened his eyes. "You! You can’t! Why should I give you back the fruits of my ten years of labor?!"
Selena let out an indifferent laugh, "Don’t be ridiculous!"
"Ten years of labor?! Are you sure you’re not just ruining Stardust Entertainment?! With your skills, the only reason Stardust is still one of the top three entertainment companies is that it was managed under my father’s tenure!"
"Mason Kensington, do you think I’m unaware of your behind-the-scenes deeds? Using company funds to keep mistresses, would Aunt even know about this?!"
"What are you talking about?!!!" Cassia Lawson suddenly widened her eyes, glaring viciously at Mason.
"...What nonsense are you spouting?!"
A flicker of panic crossed Mason’s eyes, but he tried to maintain his composure.
Selena shrugged indifferently, "Believe it or not, the deadline is over. Expect to receive a lawyer’s letter."
Cassia Lawson had lost her reason, rushing over to shake Mason’s shoulders violently, "Tell me! What have I done to deserve this from you?!"
Cassia had been with Mason since he was a poor boy. She didn’t mind his poverty and laziness back then.
Now, using her brother’s influence, he had prospered.
And yet he dared to keep other women behind her back!
How could Cassia tolerate this!
"What nonsense are you talking?!"
Mason felt ashamed.
Selena no longer wished to watch the family’s farce, turning and leaving the room.
Behind her, Miranda suddenly chased after her.
"Sister! What do you want from us?! Isn’t the suffering you’ve caused our family enough?!!!"
Selena turned with a mocking smile, "It’s not over yet."
A cold, emotionless glint flashed in her eyes, a momentary surge of homicidal intent seemed to engulf her completely.
Miranda Kensington, you’ll have your turn sooner or later.
Don’t expect any mercy either.
Selena finished speaking and turned to leave.
Miranda was stunned, an icy dread suddenly creeping from her feet throughout her body.
"...Devil...you’re a devil!!"
Miranda suddenly screamed!
