Reborn as the Sweetheart of a Paranoid Boss-Chapter 317: Waterborne Adventures
The houses here aren’t very tall, almost all are the same height.
Looking around, there aren’t any buildings obstructing the view.
Selena Kensington gazed out at the distant scenery from inside the room.
Occasionally she exchanged smiles and greetings with Venetians across the way.
Sterling Norwood was outside making a phone call for quite some time, speaking in English.
Selena couldn’t quite imagine who could keep Sterling on the phone for so long.
Curiously, she walked over, only to find Sterling had just hung up.
He turned to Selena and said, "We’ll spend a day in Serena today, and fly to the Isle of Cyrin tomorrow."
Selena asked curiously, "What’s in the Isle of Cyrin?"
"Introducing you to someone, and there’s an auction aboard the Santa Maria tomorrow night."
Sterling explained to her.
Selena was a bit shocked, "Santa Maria luxury cruise?!"
Selena had heard of the Santa Maria luxury cruise, rumored to be one of the top three luxury cruises worldwide, sailing year-round in The Zephyr Sea.
It wasn’t possible to just buy tickets; boarding required an invitation from the cruise’s owner, the Colombo Family.
Apart from the lavishness, the cruise is most famous for its sea auctions.
The auction items are rare or precious objects from around the world.
They’re said to be extremely hard to obtain.
"Hmm."
Sterling responded with a sound.
Selena became curious immediately but thought she’d find out tomorrow, so she quelled her curiosity.
"Do we need to go back to Mirel tomorrow?"
"No need, I’ve arranged for the plane to come to Serena’s airport."
At this point, Selena nodded, "Shall we go out and play now?"
"Sure."
Leaving the hotel, they rented a gondola in Serena.
The gondolier paddled in the front, while she and Sterling sat at the seats.
Selena reached out her hand slightly, her fingertips brushing the water surface, bringing a cool sensation.
"Sterling, the camera!"
She reminded Sterling.
Sterling replied somewhat helplessly, "Alright, alright."
He’s now skilled enough to take pictures for her even without her reminders.
Selena cupped some water from the canal in her hands.
Clear and pristine.
She slightly loosened her grip, allowing the water to flow gently from her fingertips.
Sterling pulled her a little closer to him, "Be careful, don’t lean out too much."
Selena casually replied, "Alright, alright."
But just as she said that, she lost her balance and almost fell out of the boat.
Sterling caught her in time, pulling her back to him.
"I told you to be more careful."
Selena stuck out her tongue slightly, that feeling of being embarrassed right after speaking...
Perhaps to allow tourists a better exploration, the gondola moved slowly. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Selena admired the buildings along the banks, then took out her phone and opened the front camera.
She leaned closer to Sterling’s face.
Their faces close together, with Serena’s sky and canal in the background.
"Say cheese!"
Selena said and quickly pressed the photo button.
Then she pulled Sterling to make various poses, taking several selfies together.
Selena admired those selfies, thinking she’d have to change her screensaver to one of them.
After going through those photos, Selena heard the gondolier telling them that The Bridge of Echoes was ahead.
She suddenly lifted her head.
Looked ahead.
The Bridge of Echoes is a typical Baroque-style stone bridge.
The bridge resembles a house, with a dome covering the top, very tightly enclosed.
