Reborn as the Sweetheart of a Paranoid Boss-Chapter 27: Selena Kensington’s Parents
At this point, Vivian Sutton and Clement Luther couldn’t utter a word for half the day.
Because they couldn’t imagine that Sterling Norwood would do something like going on a date.
Selena Kensington waited for a long time without a response from the two, so she gave up hope on them.
Finally, after much deliberation, Selena chose a high-waisted black quilted mini-skirt, paired with a burgundy off-shoulder, long bubble-sleeved top.
Selena’s tall figure was accentuated by the mini-skirt, revealing her long, straight legs—fair and alluring.
She slightly styled her hair and applied a subtle makeup herself.
By the time Selena finished all this, more than two hours had passed.
Sterling Norwood looked up to see the radiant and charming girl, particularly noticing those long legs, which made his eyes darken.
Selena didn’t sense anything unusual about Sterling.
She boldly twirled around in front of him, as if flaunting her beautiful wings to her partner, "How do I look?"
Sterling stood up, pulling her into his embrace, kissing her lips a few times.
Only then did he slowly speak, with a slightly hoarse dissatisfaction, "...Too beautiful."
With her looking like this, she would surely attract a lot of men’s covetous eyes if she went out.
He wanted to keep her locked away.
All her beauty, for him to enjoy alone.
The dark thoughts in his heart continued to grow, but perhaps he was always such a person; only restraining all his sharpness and wearing a mask to avoid scaring off his beloved prey.
Everything was under his control.
Selena happily accepted Sterling’s compliments, naturally ignoring the man’s dark thoughts.
"I’m going to get a bag, wait for me."
After Selena got her bag, she cheerfully took Sterling’s arm and walked out of the apartment.
Downstairs, Silvester Norwood pulled the car over.
Seeing Selena holding onto Sterling, deeply understanding his brother’s nature, Silvester dared not look too much at Selena. He handed the car keys to Sterling, "Bro, Sis-in-law, have a great date."
Then he tactfully stepped aside.
"Thank you." Selena smiled and responded in a good mood.
This smile gave Silvester a moment of pause, and quickly he withdrew his gaze under Sterling’s stern look.
He remembered Selena’s mother, Julian Jennings, who was once a famous beauty in Aethelgard.
Whenever she appeared, she overshadowed all the socialites and heiresses of Aethelgard.
With her gentle, ethereal, and elegant demeanor, Julian not only had a smooth journey in stardom but also attracted the pursuits of many noble young men.
Plus, Julian’s husband, Connor Kensington, was also an elegant and handsome gentleman at that time.
Starting from scratch, he created a myth in the entertainment industry.
Their union birthed Selena; how could she turn out any less? In fact, even more remarkable than her predecessors.
Her delicate features resembled Julian’s gentle, elegant look. Yet her eyes carried Connor’s sharpness, stunningly captivating.
Just a single smile could make one’s heart skip a beat.
Sterling opened the passenger door for Selena, letting her in.
Only then did Sterling slowly move around to the driver’s seat. As he passed Silvester, he nonchalantly said, "Overtime for a month."
"...Yes," Silvester could only obediently bear the blame.
The place Sterling took Selena to was Aethelgard’s Peak Hotel, one of Aethelgard’s most famous landmarks.
It was one of the Norwood Family’s businesses, a symbol of their wealth.
The towering skyscraper entirely belonged to the Norwood Family.
The first twenty floors accommodated various entertainment, office, and leisure areas, while the remaining floors housed hotel rooms and conference venues.
The antique-styled entrance seemed to transport people back in time, with two giant mythical beasts flanking the doors—tiger-shaped but winged.
Moreover, those gigantic statues were crafted from gold.
The glistening gold statues stood brazenly at the entrance of Aethelgard’s Peak, drawing the eyes of every passerby.
Yet no one dared to steal them.
