"Hugh, thank you," Samuel Dalton blinked and expressed his gratitude.

"Uh... no need to thank me." Hugh Kensington didn’t know what he said that would prompt such thanks from Samuel Dalton.

But there was no time to ponder it further as Selena Kensington’s call came in.

"Dalton, I have to go, my sister is urging me!" Hugh said he’d be right down to Selena, not dwelling on Samuel Dalton’s words, and immediately started moving things.

"Let me help you." Samuel Dalton stepped forward and picked up a box for him.

"Thanks!" Hugh Kensington didn’t stand on ceremony and quickly took the box downstairs.

"You sly kid, having someone carry such a big box for you, aren’t you ashamed!" Selena chided with a smile.

Hugh put down the luggage and waved his hand, "Sis, I’m your own brother, after all."

Selena ignored him and reached out to take the box from Samuel Dalton’s hand, "Thank you, brother."

Samuel Dalton didn’t let her take it but directly put the box on the trunk.

With a slight smile, revealing his canine teeth, "Sister can call me Dalton."

Selena was taken aback, nodded, "Okay, Dalton." Was it her imagination, or had Samuel Dalton’s attitude towards her changed after just a few days?

If Samuel Dalton had always appeared outwardly obedient and gentle before, it was all his façade.

Now, Samuel Dalton seemed truly harmless and gentle, as if he had taken off his mask.

"I’m exhausted, Dalton, we’re leaving." Hugh Kensington stowed the luggage and bid farewell to Samuel Dalton.

Samuel Dalton nodded, "Alright, goodbye."

Selena Kensington got into the car with a somewhat complex expression.
