Reborn As Noble-Chapter 628: Legacy of Power ( )
Chapter 628: Legacy of Power ( 628 )
Not far away, Alf, Erinnette, and Hesbeirn stood silently by the royal garden gate—watching the chaos unfold.
Their lord, Garius De Armand. Stoic, calm, always composed—was currently in mid-air.
"Like this!!"
Garius shouted, mimicking Veldrac’s move with surprising agility for a man of his status.
He twisted in the air and brought his palm down in a dramatic arc, slapping nothing but the wind.
He landed firmly, looking satisfied.
"Perfect technique," Garius nodded to himself.
Erinnette blinked twice.
Hesbeirn tilted his head slightly.
Alf remained expressionless.
The three shared a quick look.
Then Alf muttered dryly,
"...Looks like some dwarves really get it this time."
Erinnette sighed and crossed her arms.
"A whole celestial war... and this is the result."
"Forehead festival," Hesbeirn added.
They all fell silent again, watching as Garius began instructing Mylezra on the best palm angle for maximum sting.
Veldrac suddenly twirled, leaping high like a performer on stage.
He spun mid-air with flourish, cape fluttering behind him.
He landed on one foot, palm smacking the air.
"This will make him fly!!"
Veldrac grinned wide.
"No, no, no~"
Lioness stepped forward, cracking his knuckles with a sharp smirk.
"It should be like this."
The beastkin king crouched, then launched himself upward—flipping twice before twisting in the air.
He landed with both feet placed firmly and slapped down with full strength.
"This... is what I call skills!"
Dust kicked up around him.
Even a nearby bird in the tree flapped away from the impact.
Mylezra chuckled softly behind her fan.
"Now, now. No need to argue. We’ll all get our turn."
"I can’t wait to see him cry! Bwahahaha!"
Lioness roared with laughter.
"Just imagining his face when we all line up to slap him—priceless!"
Mylezra smiled gently, her elegance remaining despite the chaos around her.
"Lucky for him, the celestial didn’t corrupt him too much. But Garius..."
She looked toward him with curiosity.
"Are you sure your son was able to defeat the celestial? That’s no simple feat."
Garius raised his eyebrows slightly, then smirked confidently.
"I didn’t raise a weakling, you know."
He placed a hand on his hip, glancing at the sky.
"Even Marcellus alone could’ve taken down Gumarak while he was possessed. That celestial was strong, sure—but my eldest? Calm, tactical. He would’ve cut him down with precision."
He turned his gaze toward the group, his voice firmer now.
"And Cedric?"
He chuckled low.
"That boy’s a monster. My strongest paladin. He could’ve deflected every one of Gumarak’s celestial attacks like swatting flies."
Lioness nodded seriously.
"Yeah... Cedric once fought a berserk elder orc with his bare fists."
Veldrac rubbed his chin.
"What kind of freaks are you raising, Garius? Makes me feel bad for Gumarak."
Mylezra chuckled softly.
"Still, that youngest one... Javier, was it?"
She looked thoughtful.
"He’s... different. Quiet but terrifying. His aura is strange. Not like the others."
Garius simply offered a mysterious smile.
"That boy... is something else entirely."
"And I sent him," Garius continued, arms folded behind his back, "because he needs to see more of the world. To learn with his own eyes. After all... he’ll be the one to inherit my position after me."
Mylezra raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a teasing smile.
"Are you sure, Garius? He doesn’t strike me as the obedient type~"
Her smirk deepened.
"More like the type who’d run off and make his own plans behind your back."
Garius chuckled, not denying it.
"I know. He definitely will."
Lioness whistled.
"Bold of you to say that so casually. Aren’t you worried?"
"Worried?" Garius shook his head.
"If he was the kind of kid who followed orders blindly, I wouldn’t give him anything."
Veldrac tilted his head.
"Then why not give it to Marcellus or Cedric? Both are strong, loyal, and already trained."
Garius looked out toward the distant mountain peaks.
"Because they’ve already reached what they’re supposed to be. They’re complete."
He paused.
"But Javier..."
He smiled faintly.
"Let’s just say... he has a special talent. One you can’t teach or train. One even I can’t fully grasp."
Mylezra narrowed her eyes.
"What kind of talent?"
Garius exhaled softly, watching the wind stir the trees.
"The kind that either saves the world—or changes it forever."
Lioness smirked and crossed his arms proudly.
"Well, no worries then. You already promised to let my daughters marry him anyway."
"Felicia and Mimi—both are smitten. You’re not backing out on that, are you?"
Garius let out a light sigh, rubbing his temple.
"...You’re the one who made that promise, not me."
Veldrac jumped in with a wide grin.
"Ah, don’t forget about my little sister too. Delya’s got her eyes locked on him."
Garius side-eyed him.
"She’s still young."
"So? Give it a few years," Veldrac shrugged casually.
"She already declared him as her future husband, didn’t she?"
Mylezra smiled with calm elegance, adjusting her robe.
"I’m not worried."
She sipped her tea peacefully.
"After all, both my nieces are by his side."
Lioness raised a brow.
"Nieces?"
Mylezra nodded.
"Liana is my elder brother’s daughter. And Gloria—she’s my cousin’s child."
Her smile softened.
"They’ll keep him in line... probably."
Garius chuckled quietly.
"That’s assuming he doesn’t charm his way into more trouble."
Veldrac laughed.
"He’s your son. Of course he will."
The group shared a laugh, knowing full well that the boy they called Javier was far from ordinary. Surrounded by princesses, maids, and enemies alike.
Garius’s eyes sharpened, and his expression shifted to one of complete seriousness.
"Lioness. Mylezra. Veldrac."
The atmosphere instantly grew heavier. All three rulers, who had been casually standing a moment ago, now faced him properly.
"Hmm?"
"What is it?"
"Speak."
Their responses came in perfect unison, each voice filled with power, focus, and readiness.
Garius narrowed his eyes.
"My intelligence unit has confirmed it. Both Edmund and Gurdan are preparing to deploy their ’special units’."
His tone remained calm but icy, cutting through the room like a blade.
Lioness cracked his knuckles with a cocky grin.
"I already expected that."
Mylezra gently touched her lips with her fingers, smiling with calm confidence.
"It’s within my prediction too. Don’t worry about it, Garius."
Veldrac gave a slow, sly smirk.
"Of course I know. You think I’d come here without knowing what my enemies are planning?"
All three turned toward Garius and, in perfect sync, said:
"Do you think we came here unprepared?"
Garius exhaled slowly. That was the answer he expected—but also the one he needed to hear.
These weren’t ordinary rulers. Each of them was a force of nature.
A beast king whose roars crushed armies.
An elven queen who once led a crusade of light against darkness.
A demon king whose shadows danced with death.
And now... they stood together.
Ready for war.
Ready to punish a friend.
And ready... to protect what mattered most.
