Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 286 - : Can I hug him?
Chapter 286: Chapter 286: Can I hug him?
Abigail heard him and looked up, meeting the man’s amber eyes. She paused slightly. Why was he looking at her?
“Hmm,” Brandon Piers nodded at Kelly and then looked at Abigail holding the child, “What’s wrong with him?”
“He’s just fussy because he didn’t wake up properly.” Abigail responded casually and then noticed that Brandon didn’t seem to be leaving. She was a bit puzzled, “Do you need something?”
“Can’t I just come to see my son if I don’t have anything going on?” Brandon was displeased with how Abigail wanted him gone.
Abigail felt embarrassed, almost forgetting this detail, “Of course you can.” She then looked at little Teddy in her arms, “Teddy, Daddy is here. If you keep crying, Daddy will make fun of you!”
This time, the little guy seemed to understand Abigail’s words. His big, bright eyes filled with tears, looked innocently at Brandon, full of curiosity.
...
Brandon recalled the scene he had seen when he came over last night, with that moment of warmth. He couldn’t help but reach out, “Can I hold him?”
“He’s quite heavy. Your sternum hasn’t fully healed…”
“It’s fine.” Before Abigail could finish her sentence, Brandon had already reached out to take Teddy.
Abigail thought the little guy wouldn’t let his dad hold him. But unexpectedly, as soon as Brandon reached out, the little one joyfully stretched out his arms and legs.

Abigail thought, “…” All right, this little guy is pretty heartless.
Even though Brandon had Teddy in his arms now, Abigail couldn’t help but find it amusing when she saw the man’s slightly tense body. So, this man could also be nervous!
However, she didn’t mind Brandon getting close to Teddy. Children needed their fathers. If Brandon wanted to hold the child more, she was very happy about it.
Brandon looked at the soft little person in his arms, who was much bigger than when he first saw him but still a tiny bundle. With his fair and tender skin, he looked like a miniature chubby version. His big, shiny eyes made anyone’s heart fill with joy.
But from Teddy’s birth until now, Brandon could count on one hand how many times he held him.
It wasn’t because he didn’t want to; it just happened so suddenly. Until now, he hadn’t gotten used to or even accepted the role of a father, which made him less close and attached to the child.
But at this moment, holding the little one clumsily in his arms and feeling his complete dependence and trust, Brandon’s heart softened little by little.
This was his child.
Besides his grandfather, the closest blood relative he had.
Even closer than his grandfather, Teddy was his own flesh and blood.
This unfamiliar and miraculous feeling made him hold the child even more awkwardly. All his muscles stiffened, afraid that he might accidentally hurt the little guy.
Abigail watched Brandon, finding it amusing and familiar at the same time. How similar it was to when she first learned to hold her child. Even though she hadn’t even been in a relationship before her rebirth, becoming a mother came so naturally to her now.
As for this man who suddenly became a dad, he must still be in a daze.
“Giggling…”
Brandon was particularly nervous, holding the child carefully. But whether it was because the little guy noticed there were more people around or was just amused by his cautious dad, he started giggling.
Brandon, holding the child, felt himself being laughed at. He lifted the little guy higher, “Laugh again, and I’ll toss you.”
“Giggling!” Teddy thought his dad was playing with him and laughed even harder.
Abigail saw this, “Be careful with your wound.”
“Are you that worried about me?” Brandon asked with a smile but didn’t stop his actions. Instead, seeing Teddy’s happy giggles, he moved even more.
Abigail broke out in a cold sweat for him and sternly said, “You’re my patient. If you don’t care about your body, I still care about my reputation.”
Brandon looked at the serious little chubby face and laughed, “I know my limits.”
Abigail frowned. What he called knowing his limits?
