Amid a violent eruption of violet ADE, Sir Lancelot took a rapid step backward, stepping away from the range of the devastating shield bash that made the air vibrate, then his gloved fists tightened around the Great Sword.

Impact Surge!

Sir Lancelot slashed with its Great Sword as a tyrannical sword intent filled the air, making it feel like the sword could cut anything!

But unlike the smaller and nimble Sir Lancelot, the Legendary Knight of Chaos was bigger and not as nimble.

Knowing this, Major Mendez didn’t even try to dodge.

He took it head-on.

Amid a violent eruption of violet ADE, the massive 5 meter tall Exosuit placed its Knight’s Tower Shield in the path of the incoming attack even as a shimmering purple shield appeared in front of the Tower Shield.

Armor Amplification massively amplified all these defensive maneuvers, and then it finally hit.

KABOOOOMMMM!

The impact made the sky detonate like thunder!

Yet, with Armor Amplification, the Legendary Knight of Chaos managed to absorb the damage like it meant nothing.

Major Mendez counterattacked instantly!

With a violent twist of its waist, the Legendary Knight of Chaos swung its massive Warhammer towards the still unbalanced Sir Lancelot after delivering such a deadly attack that failed to deal much damage.

The head of the massive Warhammer became tinged with a violent purple glow.

Sir Lancelot was exposed!

With Metabolic Overdrive still active, the Federation Lieutenant didn’t panic though as he activated Servo Reflex again before adding Auto-Recoil Compensation.

This time, Sir Lancelot didn’t try to use its superior agility and nimbleness to escape. Instead, Sir Lancelot focused all its energy on its Great Sword.

The counter-attack was timed to perfection.

With Servo Reflex doubling its reflexes and with Auto-Recoil Compensation stabilizing its aim and motion mid-combat even in an unbalanced stance, Sir Lancelot was still able to twist its Great Sword and slash at the incoming Warhammer with pinpoint accuracy.

Both weapons clashed with a mighty impact.

BOOOOOOMMMM!

The impact spread and reverberated across the battlefield like a storm as both Exosuits were finally forced to take two steps back each from the impact.

The Legendary Knight of Chaos stayed unscathed from the impact, but slight cracks appeared in the breastplate of Sir Lancelot’s Knight’s armor.

Sir Lancelot didn’t hesitate though.

Amid a violent swirl of purple ADE, the 3 meter tall Sir Lancelot once again charged at the towering 5 meter tall Legendary Knight of Chaos!

They clashed again and the world around them groaned!

This was the power of D Rank Cyber Gladiators of the Exo Knight Specialization, this was a demonstration of one of the Specializations of the widely acknowledged penultimate combat Class.

Unlike NetRunners with their elusive and insidious abilities, Cyber Gladiators are straightforward and direct.

And the moment Major Mendez choose his opponent, that left 2 of them against 3- the D Rank Quantum Shaper of the Gravitionist Specialization and Major Ceres, the D Rank NetRunner of the Cyber Saint Specialization.

It was a 3v2 situation but they had no intentions of fighting both high-ranking Federation Lieutenants together.

Major Kai’s eyes gleamed with murderous intensity.

For the first time since the war started and they assassinated the Federation D Rank NetRunner, Major Kai saw another opportunity to assassinate another high-ranking Lieutenant of the Federation Army.

Apart from Major Mendez’s current opponent, both Major Ceres and her comrade, Major Goldbridge were both Ascended of Classes deemed as paper Class compared to other Classes at D Rank.

At D Rank, physically, NetRunners and Quantum Shapers are just like Mechanists.

But as Major Kai’s brain whirred, he made his choice. ’Major Ceres!’

The reason for his decision was simple.

All Ren Nora knew was the name of the 3 Specializations of the Quantum Shaper Class at D Rank, even he didn’t know their abilities and this lack of knowledge was why Major Kai left Major Goldbridge for last.

He decided to hunt a familiar face.

"Lawrence, follow me. Lead the charge. Major Ceres is the target". He instructed then he turned his head and looked at Major Potter. "Keep the other guy busy and stop him from interrupting us".

Major Potter nodded solemnly, then he disappeared.

He emerged right in front of the Quantum Shaper and instantly, Major Goldbridge understood the plan of the enemies.

But he couldn’t just bypass Major Potter to go and help his comrade, the range was too far.

This was a bonafide D Rank Ascended just like him and he had to give it his all just to survive. If he focused on saving Major Ceres at the cost of losing focus in his own battle, he may likely be the one to die first in this large scale battle.

Neon green ADE erupted from Major Potter, intertwining with the white and gold ADE from the Quantum Shaper as both Ascended violently clashed!

And as they did, a Winged Rhino- Major Lawrence spread his wings for a devastating dive and rushed towards the still stunned and rattled Major Ceres.

The moment she saw that she was the last enemy to be targeted, Major Ceres was intelligent as she also realized their plan instantly.

The moment Major Lawrence moved, charging towards her, she disappeared.

In the end, she was a NetRunner and she was inside Purgatory too meaning she enjoyed all the benefits of this city’s revolutionary city defense grid.

But the moment she disappeared and reappeared, she froze as she realized that someone also just appeared beside her.
