Rebirth: Top Actress, Your Big Shot Husband is Jealous Again!-Chapter 847: Let Mason Send You Home
So terrifying!
Emma exclaimed directly, averting her eyes, not daring to watch anymore.
Xylia’s forehead was sweating with pain, biting her teeth to endure it without making a sound.
Even the doctor seemed a bit surprised, yet somewhat impressed.
Sometimes, external injuries can be more life-threatening in pain than some internal ones.
The areas where Xylia was injured, although none affected her bones, the flesh wounds were severe.
With the addition of disinfecting and medication, the pain management is not something the average person can withstand.
Even a big man would have to howl out in pain.
This young lady didn’t make a sound, it’s truly admirable.
After hearing the doctor’s words, the three people’s expressions in the room changed slightly.
Louis looked at the scarlet arm, his eyes slightly narrowed...
...
After the medication, a tetanus shot is still needed before leaving.
Louis said he had matters to attend to, paid the medical bills, and left with Emma.
Bella was frustrated to the point of laughter and tears.
He’s leaving her here with a patient who has trouble walking?
Just as Bella was angered, Mason’s call came through.
The anxious tone clearly indicated he was aware of the situation.
Bella was a bit surprised, not sure if Louis had told him or somehow.
Bella mentioned the hospital, asking him to come pick them up.
Mason agreed, got in his car, and headed over.
Just after hanging up, Bella turned around to see Xylia coming out with an anxious face.
"What’s wrong?" Bella quickly approached her.
Xylia bit her lip, her eyes somewhat reddened.
"Bella, I, I’m going home first."
"What happened?" Bella was startled for a moment.
Xylia forced a smile on her lips: "Nothing, I feel less pain after the medication, so I’ll head home first."
Bella wasn’t naive; she could see through the excuse.
"Did your mom gamble again?" Bella said coldly.
Xylia bit her lip, then smiled bitterly: "Yeah, but it’s not a big deal, just a minor injury, I’ll go check on it."
"Mason is on his way now, don’t rush, how can you walk yourself in this condition?"
Hearing Bella offering to take her, Xylia quickly refused.
"No need, you don’t have to send me."
Xylia’s eyes held a hint of discomfort.
She was quite aware of her mom’s personality; if Bella were seen at this time, she would definitely latch onto her.
Moreover, Bella didn’t like her mom either, she knew that.
She didn’t want this awkward situation to happen.
"You wait for your boyfriend here, I’ll take a cab back home, some things, it’s inconvenient."
Xylia said awkwardly.
Actually, there was no inconvenience, she just didn’t want Bella dragged into it.
"Xylia." Bella called her: "She’s her, you’re you, you’re my cousin, your matters, I won’t turn a blind eye, especially when you’re hurt like this, how can you go back alone?"
Bella’s tone was stern, refusing to let her go.
She was struggling to walk, how could she go back herself?
Xylia smiled at her words, a smile as bright as a sunflower, warming those around.
"Thank you, Bella."
"Between us, no need for thanks."
"Okay, help me downstairs first." Xylia said, stretching out her hand.
Bella held onto her, walking her downstairs.
Just out of the elevator, Xylia’s phone rang again.
Answering the call, whatever was said on the other side made Xylia’s face turn even gloomier.
After hanging up, she still forced a smile, reassuring Bella.
