Rebirth: The New Bride Wants A Divorce-Chapter 193: Blind date
Kira’s expression darkened, and she looked away from his cold eyes. She knew she wasn’t supposed to question him—just follow orders. But the curiosity still lingered, simmering beneath her skin, even if she refused to show it again.
"Anyway... what’s next for me?" she asked. "I already kept the note in Kathrine’s car, but she hasn’t made a move yet."
She remembered the instructions clearly—follow Kathrine to Anderson Enterprise.Kira had waited, watched, and the moment Kathrine disappeared inside the building, she had slipped the note into her car and walked away unnoticed. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
On the other hand, Collins listened silently, his expression unreadable.
"Don’t worry. She’ll move soon," he said at last. "And if she doesn’t..."
He paused, the corner of his lips lifting into a sinister smirk.
"...then we’ll make sure she notices us."
A chill went down Kira’s spine—but so did a thrill. She watched Collins from the corner of her eye. Despite him being older, his presence intrigued her. He was mysterious, dangerous, unpredictable—with a wickedness that complemented her own madness.
That was why she had joined hands with him.
Despite his rough edges, Collins was wealthy—and money was the only thing she truly craved in men. Their power. Their influence. Their wealth.
"As you say," she replied, straightening proudly before turning away to continue her day.

Later that evening, when Ethan was supposed to be relaxing at his condo, he instead found himself on a blind date his mother had arranged.
Despite all his resistance, Stephanie had been persistent—and when her persistence didn’t work, she went for the emotional nuclear option....her tears.
And of course, they worked. They always did.
Now he was sitting inside a posh restaurant, checking his wristwatch for the fifth time.Someone who valued punctuality was forced to arrive early—thanks to his overly excited mother, who practically pushed him out the door and insisted he reach the venue like a "proper gentleman."
Make sure you don’t scare her away, Ethan. Keep it cool and gentle. I’m sure your face is enough for her to say yes, Her words echoed in his head.
Ethan groaned under his breath and dismissed the memory, leaning back in his chair as he continued to wait.
This was the first time Ethan had ever agreed to a blind date—and strangely, within minutes of arriving, he already felt like leaving.
Another minute passed, and just as he exhaled in impatience, a voice came from behind him.
"Ethan Helmsworth?"
He turned, brow furrowing at the woman standing there.
Not his date. But Kathrine Bennett.
"Are you here waiting for Bianca?" she asked casually, walking around the table before he could respond and taking the seat across from him as if she owned it.
Ethan raised an eyebrow at her confidence, leaning back slightly in his chair.
"And of course you aren’t Bianca, Miss Bennett," he said, his voice cool, eyes steady on her as she smiled.
"Yes," Kathrine replied calmly, "and that’s because she’s out with her real date."
Ethan’s expression darkened at that, though Kathrine’s unwavering composure made him—annoyingly—inclined to believe her.
Bianca Vasco was Kathrine’s friend. When she learned Kathrine had returned from her vacation, she had begged her to take her place on the blind date her mother arranged—because Bianca wanted to spend the evening with her actual boyfriend instead.
But Kathrine never imagined the man waiting for Bianca would be "Ethan Helmsworth."
The same Ethan she had wanted to meet someday.
The same Ethan her sister worked with.
"Interesting how things turn out," Kathrine said, amusement flickering in her eyes. "I’ve been wanting to meet you someday, Ethan. But I never imagined it would be in a setup like this."
Ethan’s expression didn’t soften. "I can’t say the same, Miss Bennett. So if you’ll excuse me, I’d like to leave."
He pushed back his chair and stood, clearly seeing no reason to stay.
"That’s so rude of you, Ethan. Will you really leave a lady alone and walk away?"
He paused and slowly, he turned his gaze back to her.
"I’m sure your mother wouldn’t be happy if you returned home early," Kathrine added, leaning back comfortably in her chair, arms crossing with practiced elegance.
She knew the date had been arranged by both of their mothers. Which meant one thing
Ethan walking out would only lead to explanations. And questions. And... his mother questioning him was something he definitely didn’t want.
Before Ethan’s mind could settle on a decision, his body had already given in—sitting him right back into his original place.
Kathrine’s smile widened slightly. At least he was smart enough to pick up on her meaning. His mother’s wrath was no joke.
As she sat across from him, her gaze drifted over his face, quietly assessing him.
Those thick brows...the sharp, steady eyes... and the perfectly cut jawline...
Up close, Ethan was even more striking than she’d expected.
No wonder he’s the heartthrob, she thought, amused. I still don’t understand why Anna never confessed her feelings for him.
Kathrine knew very well that Anna had once harbored a crush on Ethan.
She remembered it clearly—she had found a letter Anna wrote to him years ago and read it secretly, without her sister’s knowledge.
It was amusing, really, that the same boy her sister once admired from afar ended up working so closely with her now.
He’s far better than a man like Daniel, Kathrine thought with an inward scoff.
But then another thought crept into her mind—unexpected and unsettling.
Did Anna still have feelings for him? Even after all these years?
The idea lingered, unsettling her more than she wanted to admit.
A heavy silence settled between them, with Ethan now studying Kathrine just as intently as she had been observing him moments ago.
From everything he’d heard about her, Kathrine Bennett wasn’t supposed to be sitting here helping a friend escape a blind date. Someone like her should have been focused on salvaging her family’s business.
For a man as capable as Hugo Bennett, it was disheartening to see his company suffer such heavy losses over the past year. If not for Daniel Clafford’s intervention, they might not have survived at all.
Ethan had never voiced it aloud, but he kept a close eye on anything related to Anna’s family. And what surprised him the most was that Anna never seemed affected by any of it.Never once did she show concern or fear about the downfall of her home.
That was why her bold decision to step outside her family’s shadow and work on her own had impressed him more than he cared to admit.
But what about Kathrine?
Was she anything like her sister?
