Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss-Chapter 823 - 797: Finally Met
Chapter 823 -797: Finally Met
It’s normal for private companies to help out with natural disasters, not only to fulfill their social responsibilities but also as a kind of promotion for the company.
Hearing that he’s not in the mountains and doesn’t need to worry about the rainstorm, Xiao Qian’s heart felt a little more settled, and Yu Minglang had some time to chat with her.
“What brought you here today?”
“The teacher gave me a task to support the Department of Psychological Counseling in the mental hospital here. Oh, Xiao Qiang, something really coincidental happened to me today…”
Xiao Qian didn’t want to hang up the phone so early. On this rainy night, she wanted to talk to him a little longer.
So Xiao Qian told Yu Minglang everything that happened today, from meeting the assaulted principal in the mental hospital, arguing with him, and how she met the mentally ill patient.
“So, you’re now staying right next to a mentally ill person who adores you?”
Yu Minglang also felt that Xiao Qian’s day was so extraordinary that it could be called an adventure.
She went all the way from Lin City to here and met the principal.
After that, she ended up staying next to a mentally ill patient who had delusions about her.
“Will that Romantic Delusion patient attack someone?” Yu Minglang asked.
“Romantic Deluded patients won’t attack people. They simply regard their imaginary person as their lover and firmly believe in it.”
“You’re wrong. Some delusional patients have a tendency for violent attacks. They will stalk or even kidnap the person they imagine, and sometimes even act out of love and hatred with a suicidal impulse.”
Liao Fugui was talking to his future father-in-law when he happened to hear Xiao Qian saying something wrong, so the top PhD student corrected her immediately. Xiao Qian glared at Liao Fugui, thinking he talked too much!
As Boss Qian, how could she not know that delusional patients could be violent? She said it deliberately to prevent Yu Minglang from worrying.
Fu Gui was baffled, wondering why Qian’er was glaring at him.

“Xiao Mei, go home as soon as possible tomorrow!” Yu Minglang felt very uneasy; it was too unsafe!
“Okay, I know. Once the road is cleared, I’ll go home tomorrow. Besides, you don’t need to worry. He’s been locked up in the mental hospital, and he’s going through an episode right now. They won’t let him out.”
“As soon as you get back, move to our new home. I’ll be back after fixing the road.” Yu Minglang couldn’t feel at ease after hearing Fu Gui’s words.
Now his daughter-in-law was staying next to a delusional patient; it was too unsafe. If he could leave at the moment, he would want to rush to Xiao Qian’s side immediately.
“Okay, don’t worry, there won’t be any problems.”
Only after talking to Yu Minglang for a while longer did Xiao Qian feel relieved enough to hang up the phone.
The raindrops were falling, but when Xiao Qian closed her eyes, she had no desire to sleep. Liu Mei, who was sleeping next to her, was snoring loudly, but Xiao Qian’s mind was filled with the images of the patient she had seen in the mental hospital that day, his hideous face screaming her name, his hands clawing at the iron bars…
When the rain cleared the next day, Yu Minglang called Xiao Qian and told her that they had managed to clear a single lane overnight, that cars could leave but not enter, so he still needed to work on the road. He told Xiao Qian to leave as soon as possible.
Fu Gui drove Xiao Qian and Liu Mei, and the journey was uneventful. They were almost at the place where Yu Minglang was fixing the road when Liu Mei turned to Xiao Qian in the backseat.
“You and my brother are really making a big deal out of a small issue; nothing happened, right?”
“He’s just too worried about me.”
“When we get to the place where my brother is fixing the road, let’s stop and distribute the boiled eggs and bottled water to the soldiers.”
Liu Mei’s adoptive mother knew that Yu Minglang and his team were working on the road, so she had filled the trunk with food and instructed them to unload it while passing by.
“Okay.” Xiao Qian also wanted to see Yu Minglang, as they hadn’t seen each other for several days.
However, when they arrived at the section of the road, they couldn’t get through.
The road was jam-packed with cars. Fu Gui found out that the slippery road had caused a chain collision up ahead, and they were now stuck in traffic.
“How long will it take?” Xiao Qian asked Fu Gui, who had just come back with the news.
“They are handling it now, but as the other road is not open yet, we might have to wait a bit longer.”
“It’s so annoying. I’ll call my brother and see where he is.” Just as Liu Mei was about to make a call, Yu Minglang called Xiao Qian first.
“Xiao Mei, where are you now?”
“We’re stuck in the traffic jam. What’s going on up there?”
“One of the drivers involved in the rear-end collision seems to have road rage. He’s parked his car in the middle of the road and refuses to move. Our people are trying to persuade him one last time, but if he doesn’t cooperate, we’ll have to take forceful measures.”
“I’m not far away; I’ll come over and see if I can calm him down.”
Road rage is a common problem in the automotive age, with 30% of professional drivers suffering from it. It’s a dangerous matter because driving with emotions can easily cause traffic accidents.
Xiao Qian was nearby, so she decided to go over and check the situation. Yu Minglang seemed to have something more to say to her, but she hurriedly hung up the phone first.
“Sister-in-law, I’ll go with you.” Liu Mei also wanted to go with her.
“It’s fine, Fu Gui and I will go. You stay here and watch the car. If the car ahead moves, don’t block the road.”
Xiao Qian thought it was better for her and Fu Gui, who both had a professional background, to be more helpful in dealing with road rage, so someone should stay in the car.
After weaving through the queue of cars for a while, Xiao Qian and Fu Gui finally reached the front. They saw a car parked horizontally in the middle of a two-lane road, and not far away, a man covered in mud was shouting through a megaphone.
The driver with road rage was very unreasonable. No one dared to approach him, as he would start driving in circles. To avoid causing more collisions and traffic congestion, they had to be patient and continue communicating with him.
The road rage driver was truly unreasonable, completely ignoring the efforts of those fixing the road to allow everyone to pass quickly. Although the person shouting wasn’t Yu Minglang, it still hurt Xiao Qian to see it.
Her husband, together with a group of people, was doing something that shouldn’t have been their responsibility. They were working in the mud and water to fix the road for everyone else, but the others only complained about the road not being open, totally disregarding the hard work of the rescue team members. It’s as if whatever they do is taken for granted, not realizing that they are also raised by their parents. But some people just take everything that others do for granted.
The road rage driver was only a few meters away from a bus. The passengers on the bus were all watching with their heads sticking out of the window while the troublemaker driver continued to shout.
