Rebirth: Love in the Apocalypse-Chapter 169: Space 1
"Robots are electronic devices. They have gears, power systems, sensors, and many other parts." He started and quickly continued.
"I should be able to pick up their electrical charges using my spiritual ability, but I sense nothing."
Qin Wu frowned when she heard this.
At the same time, she triggered her auditory ability and carefully listened to the robots.
However, she heard nothing except the normal sounds of livestock and fish.
"There is really nothing." She muttered, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.
"They are less like robots and more like the puppets described in cultivation novels." He said.
After saying that, Mo Chenxuan spread his spiritual ability and began examining the space.
Three minutes later, he gasped and turned to Qin Wu, his expression excited.
"Wu’er, my spiritual ability can’t cover the entire space." He said, and Qin Wu couldn’t help but be surprised.
At level three, Mo Chenxuan’s ability could cover one kilometre, and the coverage had only increased after advancing to level four.
Hearing that even the level four spiritual ability couldn’t cover the space, Qin Wu was simultaneously shocked and pleasantly surprised.
"How far can your ability cover?" She asked.
"Three kilometres." Mo Chenxuan answered, and Qin Wu gasped.
"This means that the space is at least two thousand acres." She exclaimed with a happy expression.
Her space was originally ten acres of farmable land and ten acres of warehouse space.
Unexpectedly, after merging with Mo Chenxuan’s space, the combined space was many times more than the sum of the two parts.
"Chenxuan, what about your second space? Has it changed?" She asked, but Mo Chenxuan shook his head.
"It’s still the same." He said.
Qin Wu was a little disappointed when she heard this.
However, she soon forgot the disappointment and focused on their merged spaces.
"What do you see?" She asked.
"The crops and livestock from your space, the sea from my space, and our villas. I also see a river, a lake, and mountains." Mo Chenxuan started, swallowed, and continued.
"Wu’er, we are currently at a courtyard house built on the peak of the tallest mountain." He said, but Qin Wu suddenly frowned.
"What about the wells?" She asked in an anxious voice.
After all, well water was their capital for revolution.
Without the well water, they wouldn’t be able to purify crystal cores or replenish energy without consuming crystal cores.
"There is a well in the middle of the courtyard."
"Just the one?" Qin Wu asked, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.
"Do you think our well waters merged?"
"It’s likely." Mo Chenxuan answered, pulling Qin Wu into the large bedroom.
Now that they knew where they were, they took their time examining the bedroom.
Excluding the ornate bed, the room had three antique settees, a wooden table, a large wardrobe, and a dressing table.
Fortunately, the design didn’t completely follow the ancient setting, and the room had an attached bathing area, including a hot spring and a toilet.
"Not bad." Qin Wu said with a satisfied expression.
"You prefer this to our modern villa?" Mo Chenxuan asked, but Qin Wu didn’t answer right away.
Instead, she fell into thought and didn’t nod until half a minute later.
"The courtyard is more charming." She said, but didn’t stop there.
"However, we are used to modern conveniences, so I will reserve my judgment until after we look around. What about you?"
"I feel the same way." Mo Chenxuan said.
After that, the two exited the bedroom and saw the inner courtyard.
At a glance, the courtyard was a typical garden with a well on one side, flowers, and a few fruit trees.
"How can there be flowers and fruit trees here?" Qin Wu wondered, walking to the nearest tree.
The tree was laden with ripe loquat fruits.
However, Mo Chenxuan soon noticed that the fruits were a little different from pre-apocalypse loquats.
"Wu’er, they are mutant fruits." He informed, his head tilted to the side with a curious expression.
"They don’t feel dangerous, though." He continued.
"Do you think we should eat them?" Qin Wu asked, looking ready to pick a few.
However, Mo Chenxuan didn’t let her.
Although their space had never harmed them, he felt they needed to learn more before eating the fruits.
"It won’t be too late to eat some after figuring out what is going on." He said, and Qin Wu nodded before speaking.
"Let’s test the well water." She said, pulling Mo Chenxuan towards the well.
Soon after, the two drew some water and used it to soak a few crystal cores.
When that was done, they each filled a cup, exchanged a glance and downed the water. Instantly, they felt a refreshing cool spread throughout their body and finally settled in their power core.
"One plus one is greater than two." Qin Wu exclaimed, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.
They usually mixed their space waters to produce a better effect than their individual waters.
However, their manually produced mixture was nothing compared to the current space water.
"It’s better than crystal cores." Mo Chenxuan said, and Qin Wu couldn’t argue because the water was indeed better than purified crystal cores.
Speaking of crystal cores, the two checked the basin and saw that the soaked crystal cores had already been purified.
"This is good." Qin Wu stated, her lips curled in a beautiful smile.
"We usually use well water to feed the livestock and water the plants, but the distance..." Mo Chenxuan started, and Qin Wu immediately understood.
"The distance is a bit long. It’s no longer feasible to use well water to irrigate the plants and feed livestock." She said, and Mo Chenxuan nodded, but suddenly thought of something.
"The puppets were working in the fields when we last saw them. We can likely count on them to lag the well water, or maybe it’s no longer necessary considering the river and lake." He said.
Qin Wu nodded when she heard this.
"Let’s take our time understanding the situation." She said, and after collecting the purified crystal cores, the two left the inner garden and continued to explore the rest of the courtyard.
