Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 260: Sharing an Apple
When this family walked in, they were quite quiet.
The old lady glanced at Jiang Ran lying on the upper bunk, curled her lips, and suddenly began to speak loudly.
Jiang Ran had just lain down and hadn’t really closed her eyes. Suddenly hearing this, she was startled, her brow furrowed, but she didn’t say much.
After all, it’s a public area, and everyone has the right to talk.
But after a while, the old lady raised her voice, going on and on with senseless words.
Eventually, she even started to sing opera, and Jiang Ran couldn’t take it anymore.
This old lady is doing it on purpose!
Just as Jiang Ran was about to turn over and sit up, she suddenly heard the old lady let out a scream.
Jiang Ran quickly turned over to look down and saw Pei Huai holding a knife, pointing the tip at the old lady.
The old lady was startled by the knife in Pei Huai’s hand, which is why she suddenly screamed.
Seeing the knife in Pei Huai’s hand, Jiang Ran was also startled.
No matter how angry one is, you can’t really use a knife!
This old lady is not worth pitying, but getting Pei Huai involved is not worth it!
Jiang Ran was about to speak when she saw Pei Huai raising his other hand.
Then, Jiang Ran saw, in Pei Huai’s other hand, he was holding an apple.
Jiang Ran, "???"
Not only Jiang Ran, but even that family below was bewildered by Pei Huai’s series of actions, all dumbfounded looking at Pei Huai.
Pei Huai appeared incredibly calm, already holding the knife to peel the apple.
While peeling, he spoke nonchalantly.
"This knife is really sharp; it peels the apple effortlessly. I wonder if it’s this fast with other things."
Other things?
What are the other things?
The old lady’s face turned beet red, trying to say something to Pei Huai, but in the end, she couldn’t speak, her hesitant expression was quite amusing to behold.
The one who found it amusing was Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran came to understand that Pei Huai was doing it on purpose.
He was just trying to scare the old lady.
But judging by the result, it worked quite well.
The old lady was truly scared.
This old lady was the most arrogant one in that family.
Once she quieted down, naturally the others followed suit and quieted down as well.
Jiang Ran was quite pleased with this outcome and was just about to lie down to sleep when Pei Huai handed over half of the peeled apple.
"Have some apple."
When one’s mood improves, so does the appetite.
So Jiang Ran happily took the apple and put it in her mouth.
This apple was bought especially for them by Chen Bing before they got on the train.
They didn’t buy too many, not because they were stingy, but because too many would be too heavy and a hassle.
After all, Jiang Ran and Pei Huai aren’t going to stay on the train forever; just a few to last these couple of days are enough.
Jiang Ran and Pei Huai shared an apple, the carriage was quiet, only the sound of them biting into it could be heard.
The apple was big, crisp, and sweet, just the kind Jiang Ran liked.
After finishing half of the apple, Jiang Ran closed her eyes contently.
Perhaps because of the good mood, or possibly the quiet carriage, Jiang Ran soon fell asleep peacefully and slept well until midday.
Upon waking up, Jiang Ran felt refreshed, completely comfortable.
Indeed, sleep quality is important.
With a good sleep, one feels good, life is worth it.
Without good sleep, one feels irritable, life isn’t worth it.
