"Ouch." Tang Jun rubbed his head, muttering discontentedly, "It's not that I find him good-looking, I'm just worried."
"Tang Jun, don't go anywhere tomorrow. Memorize all the texts," Tang Yue glanced at him and said, "School starts in two days, so memorize all these texts in these few days, otherwise..."
"Once school starts, you won't be at home anyway." Tang Jun made up his mind, in one ear and out the other.
"Do you think that if I'm not home, I can't control you?" Tang Yue smiled, showing her white teeth.
Tang Jun felt a tingling on his scalp.
"Last time I was in the county, I saw some comic books which weren't expensive. If you do well on your exams, I'll bring them back," Tang Yue said.
"Comic books!"
Tang Jun's eyes lit up instantly. He loved the brightly colored comics, especially the ones about martial arts. Then, he suspiciously asked, "Do you have money?"
Even if the comic books weren't expensive, they definitely couldn't be bought for just a few cents.
Tang Yue smiled softly, glanced at him, and said, "I only have this much for my monthly meal money, but the remaining money can buy a comic book."
"Tang Yue." Tang Jun looked at her, his face pleading.
Tang Yue purposely raised her face high, looking at him; his youthful face was naïve yet adorable. In her previous life, she must have been out of her mind to distance herself from her only younger brother and find fault in everything he did.
Tang Jun hesitated and then called out, "Sister."
When he was young and unaware, Tang Jun would call Tang Yue 'sister,' but she always despised it and righteously told him not to call her sister.
Eventually, Tang Jun also didn't want to call her sister. As they grew older and he knew Tang Yue disliked their dad, he developed complicated feelings towards this sister.
The single word 'Sister' gave Tang Yue hope.
In her last life, until her death, Tang Jun never called her sister. Now, although he called her awkwardly, it was a good start.
Tang Yue's eyes reddened, excited. Tang Jun was quite shocked—wasn't it just a call of 'Sister'?
Why was she so excited?
Tang Jun felt awkward and guilty at heart; he hadn't called her 'sister' for many years.
"Sister, from now on, I'll call you sister, not Tang Yue, okay?" Tang Jun blurted out in excitement.
After her excitement, Tang Yue calmed down and eyed him, saying, "I am your biological sister. Who else would you call sister if not me? Let me tell you, I am your sister, so you should listen to me."
Tang Jun: "..."
"As long as you rank within the top 30 in your grades for the whole grade level, the comic book is yours," Tang Yue said cheerily.
Tang Jun was thrilled.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to start school.
Zhang Hualian wanted to see Tang Yue off to school, but Tang Yue refused.
Zhang Hualian was reluctant to part with the 50 cents for the bus fare, and she didn't know how much of a walk it would be to get back.
"Xiao Yue, Wangjiang County is so big, you've never been to the First Middle School, can you find your way there?" Zhang Hualian was worried deep down, as she sent Tang Yue off to Shuanghe Town with a quilt, clearly very anxious.
"Just rest assured." Tang Yue said, "If I can't find it, I can always ask someone."
Tang Yue weighed the quilt tied on her back, though heavy, sitting on the bus wouldn't be tiring. She also brought a cloth bag with a few clothes for changing. As for shoes, just that one pair of cloth shoes, nothing to switch.
"Tang Yue, are you going to register by yourself?" Xu Zhenzhen, wearing a new dress, saw Zhang Hualian not boarding the bus and asked.
"Yeah." Tang Yue responded, then had a quick idea, and said, "Mom, look, Xu Zhenzhen is also going to register. I'll go with her, definitely won't make any mistake, surely won't get lost. You go ahead and take Xiao Jun to register."
"Sis, I'll wait for you to come back." Tang Jun looked at Tang Yue with anticipation, making faces at her.
"What I promised will be honored." Tang Yue smiled and urged Zhang Hualian to leave, then she boarded the bus herself.
Xu Zhenzhen happily sat next to her, and on the bus, there were a few others also going to read in Wangjiang County, including Tang Xian among them.
But Tang Xian was going to the Second Middle School, Tang Yue was going to the First Middle School.
As soon as Tang Yue got on the bus, she closed her eyes, a do-not-disturb look on her face.
Xu Zhenzhen was excited, thinking about chatting, but seeing Tang Yue sleeping with her eyes closed, she didn't bother and started talking to the other students.
"Zou Xia, do you think we'll be in the same class?"
Xu Zhenzhen hoped, continuously chatting with Zou Xia.
Tang Xian wasn't idle either, chatting with Zhang Wengang by his side.
As the bus started, Tang Yue, though with her eyes closed, listened to Xu Zhenzhen and Zou Xia's conversation, sighed deeply in her heart. If nothing unexpected, she and Xu Zhenzhen would be in the same class, and also share the same dormitory.
From the same village, the same high school, the same class, and even the same dormitory – such fate had made Tang Yue and Xu Zhenzhen inseparable best friends for three years in high school, with nothing they didn't share with each other.
"Xiao Jun, seeing you and Sister Xiao Yue getting along so well makes mom really happy," Zhang Hualian earnestly advised, "Xiao Jun, study hard at school, and later on, like your sister, get into a good high school."
"Mom, I will also apply for the First Middle School, and even college," Tang Jun set his goal, determined to get into the First Middle School and even to college with great results.
Tang Jun didn't want to be looked down upon by Tang Yue, so in this first year of middle school, he was determined to shine by the time he reached the ninth grade, to get into the First Middle School, and prove himself to Tang Yue!

Wangjiang County, Wangjiang First Middle School.
The best high school in Wangjiang, when the bus passed by Wangjiang First Middle School, it stopped, and Tang Yue stood in front of Wangjiang First Middle School once again, feeling as if it were a lifetime ago.
In her previous life, when school started, Zhang Hualian had come to send her off, but after registering her name and settling her into the dorm, she left.
She watched as everyone else had their mothers and families helping them settle in, leaving her alone feeling greatly displeased with Zhang Hualian.
Little did she know, back then, Zhang Hualian had to rush back home dozens of miles away to manage their farm, truly having no time to stay longer in town with her.
But at that time, she didn't understand and even held a grudge against Zhang Hualian for it.
"Wangjiang First Middle School, really looks nice, the school seems so big," Xu Zhenzhen was fascinated. Although she had passed by before, stepping into the school still felt entirely fresh.
Just entering the First Middle School, notices for class allocations were posted on the Alley, Xu Zhenzhen squeezed through, and upon seeing that she and Tang Yue were in the same class, she quickly ran out saying, "Tang Yue, Tang Yue, we are lucky, in the same class!"
