Chapter 621: Chapter 619: All-Out Gunfight

Wan Chu’er held a black plastic bag filled with money in one hand and a gun in the other. As she stepped out the door, she saw Ming Wan standing under the eaves, looking up at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle, appearing soft and helpless.

She sighed. Even in distress, the beauty was captivating, and she could only hope she would recover strong.

The car they used yesterday was still parked in front, Wan Chu’er said gently, "Let’s go."

Ming Wan glanced at her, asked nothing, merely nodded lightly, and followed Wan Chu’er to the car.

Wan Chu’er got into the car, took out her computer, fiddled with it, found the navigation, and then started the car.

The car drove along the road for ten minutes before reaching an intersection. Wan Chu’er chose the opposite direction from yesterday, which was shown on the map to be heading towards the sea.

After driving a short distance, the computer suddenly beeped. Wan Chu’er glanced at it and frowned, then stopped the car. Ming Wan looked over in confusion and asked, "What’s wrong?"

"My little blue flower has appeared," murmured Wan Chu’er.

She looked down at the computer screen, where a dot was flashing and moving, just about five kilometers away on another road.

Ming Wan: "...What little blue flower?" Was Wan Chu’er referring to the blue flower she had forcibly pinned to her dress and then discarded?

Wan Chu’er turned to Ming Wan and said, "There’s something I need to clarify. That little blue flower is actually a listening device with a tracking function. I intentionally pinned it on your clothes, and when you and Andrew hugged goodbye, I slipped the blue flower into his pocket. I thought it was lost, but it’s here now."

"Sorry for not telling you beforehand, for using you."

Ming Wan was taken aback, recalling later events, and said, "It’s okay." Then she added, "Didn’t you say it can listen? Try activating the listening function."

"Oh!" Wan Chu’er patted her head, quickly tapped on the computer, and soon a not-so-clear voice came through.

Ming Wan said lightly, "It’s Andrew, has he arrived?"

Wan Chu’er looked at her, and then back at the map, discovering the car was getting farther away, heading straight toward the small building deep in the jungle.

Where is he going and for what? Is he going to find Ming Wan? How does he know about that place? 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Wan Chu’er frowned in thought, watching the moving dot, hesitating whether to turn back.

"If you want to go back, then let’s go back and take a look," Ming Wan suggested, noticing Wan Chu’er’s hesitation.

Wan Chu’er looked at her, Ming Wan’s face was calm, revealing nothing of her true thoughts.

The unclear voice from the computer was speaking in a language neither recognized, so she asked Ming Wan, "What are they saying?"

"It sounds like some important person died, and Andrew seems a bit happy but also worried someone might suspect their family," Ming Wan guessed based on what she overheard.

Wan Chu’er was reluctant to just lose that blue flower, so she turned the steering wheel and headed back the way they came.

When they were only ten kilometers away from the small building, she drove the car off the road and hid it in a bush.

She told Ming Wan, "You wait here in the car, I’ll go take a look and be right back."

If anything happened, she could handle it alone without worrying, but if Ming Wan went with her, she’d have to look after her too.

Ming Wan glanced at the quiet surrounding woods, hesitated a bit but agreed.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon," Wan Chu’er promised again. She thought for a moment and took the ring off her hand, placing it on Ming Wan’s finger, "This ring can track your location."

Ming Wan looked down at the ring and said, "Be careful, come back soon."

Wan Chu’er nodded with emphasis, took her computer, and got out of the car, quickly heading towards the direction indicated by the blue flower.

After some running, she arrived at the edge of the small building’s woods as fast as she could. She turned off the computer and hid it in a tree.

Carefully approaching the small building, she peered through the gaps in the leaves and saw three cars parked in front. The scar-faced man’s body was gone. Under the eaves at the building’s entrance stood a bodyguard, one Wan Chu’er had seen once at Luozhi Castle, when Lillian had come, one of the maids she had drawn by firing a shot, proving they weren’t ordinary maids.

Beyond that, she saw no one else, but through the window glass, it was clear there were people inside, and quite a few.

What to do?

Wan Chu’er thought for a moment, circled around to the back of the small building, where there was no one, and quickly dashed, climbing up to a window. That window happened to be the kitchen’s window. Seeing no one inside, she thought a bit and flipped inside.

Upon entering the kitchen, she heard a chorus of a foreign language and occasional English from the living room.

Relying on a bit of English and the tone of their voices, Wan Chu’er discerned that there were at least five people inside, seemingly negotiating, disagreeing over certain interests, either threatening or enticing.

What madness, negotiating here of all places.

She wasn’t sure if Andrew knew Ming Wan and she were no longer in anyone’s hands. Likely not, or he wouldn’t have been fooled into this probing act.

After understanding the basic situation, she planned to turn and leave. Just as she flipped out the window, she heard a gunshot, startling her as she pressed against the wall, tensing all her muscles, her eyes darting sharply around.

Soon after, she heard shouting followed by three more gunshots—Bang, bang, bang.

Inside, the negotiations must have fallen apart and erupted into a gunfight! A thought flashed through Wan Chu’er’s mind as she dashed back into the woods.

As soon as she fled, she heard the sound of a car speeding away ahead. After a while, only one car left. Could it be that everyone in the other two cars died?

Wondering if Andrew had left or stayed, Wan Chu’er thought for a moment, dashed through the dense forest back to where she hid her computer, climbed the tree, and opened it, realizing the blue flower was still nearby.

It seemed Andrew had stayed behind, but she couldn’t tell if he was alive or injured.

After some thought, Wan Chu’er, small gun in hand, returned again near the small building. Outside the house, no one was left. The two cars sat there in eerie quietness.

Nothing moved behind the windows anymore. They must have all fallen.

With caution, she stealthily moved with her gun outside the small building, nearing a window corner, slowly peering inside. Four people lay in the living room, including Andrew, his bodyguard, and two unknown men.

From the way those two unknown men were dressed, they didn’t seem like mere underlings.

Suddenly, she saw Andrew struggling to move—what? He’s still alive!
