Chapter 67: Chapter 067: Harming Everyone’s Interests

Lily’s compliment made Grace feel a bit embarrassed and she smiled, but her pride was unmistakable.

She was quite proud of her performance, as these two deals were going to bring considerable profit to the company.

"Well done." Stephen also showed a smile of approval towards Grace.

Receiving Stephen’s affirmation made Grace smile even brighter, but she hadn’t forgotten the main purpose of this meeting.

It was to let everyone in the company know that Sophie was no match for her.

The managers of the subsidiaries reported on their quarterly performance one after another, with Edward Palmer being the last to report. After all, the property prices in Edward’s region were relatively lower compared to other subsidiaries.

Most people over there were working class, and such families care more about cost-effectiveness in renovations. Even if there were many orders, they were small and low-priced.

Every time the company’s performance rankings come out, Edward’s subsidiary is always at the bottom.

When it was Edward’s turn, the other subsidiary managers were all watching him for entertainment; no matter how bad their performance was, they didn’t have to worry, as Edward would end up at the bottom.

"I haven’t yet calculated the revenue for this quarter." Edward had just finished speaking when a manager from another subsidiary couldn’t help but laugh. "Were there too many orders to calculate?"

Once this manager spoke, others couldn’t help but laugh.

Indeed, small properties have small areas and high cost-effectiveness, not much profit to make, and too many varied orders that are challenging to calculate.

"Perhaps President Palmer received too many orders these past two days and couldn’t catch up," Grace said, smilingly trying to cover for Edward. "With Sophie in the company, lending a hand, she could quickly sort it out."

These two sentences together didn’t sound right at all.

Everyone present was smart enough to sense that Grace was at odds with Sophie.

After all, the boss has two children, and if the family assets are split equally in the future, it would be unfair to Grace.

Considering everyone’s observation of Grace’s regular efforts, they didn’t have much impression of the boss’s youngest daughter, Sophie.

It was normal for Grace to have grievances against Sophie.

"The fact that it hasn’t been calculated yet is really because of Sophie," Edward said with a light sigh.

Grace’s eyes lit up, suppressing the words she almost blurted out, excitedly waiting for Edward’s next words.

Grace held back, but Lily couldn’t help it, directly asking, "What happened? What did she do?"

"Edward, in our company, everyone is treated equally. We don’t cover for anyone because of their different status," Lily appeared to be very impartial. "Even though Sophie is our daughter, if she did something wrong, feel free to say so."

"The company belongs to everyone, and it can’t suffer because of a few individuals!"

"Mom, please don’t say that," Grace quickly advised Lily. "Sophie certainly wouldn’t do such a thing; even if there was a small mistake, it is understandable. Sophie might not be familiar with the business yet, she just needs more learning."

"More learning? How long has she been at the subsidiary already? Is this about learning?" Lily snorted. "Can’t even learn properly; what can she grasp?"

"Enough!" Stephen finally spoke, looking at Edward. "What exactly did Sophie do to impact the quarterly statistics?"
