Chapter 21 - Eye of Enoch

Crash!

The gorillas slammed the body of the dark goblin against the wall, the entire place crumbling under the impact.

And though it felt like the gorillas had the upper hand, the scene didn't look favorable to them.

The dark soldiers were endless.

'So far, so good. I can tell my soldiers have a good amount of teamwork. The only problem is their strength. If they were stronger, they could easily clear the gorrolls.'

Adonis looked at the template before him.

[Eliminated Gorillas: 2/20.]

[Dark Orc has leveled up.]

[Dark Orc has leveled up.]

'Seems like only this guy has been getting any meaningful kills. I may have a good amount of mana, but my mental capabilities still play a big part. I need to end this fight quickly before I run out.'

Suddenly, a dark portal appeared beside him—a small pocket space given to him by the system.

Stretching his hand into it, he pulled out a long blade, one he had gotten from his fight with the Orc King.

Charles lay at the side, completely beaten up, as he watched Adonis get ready to battle the gorillas. The dark soldiers had already rescued him from the clutches of the monsters and placed him at a safe distance.

Meanwhile, Filo, Yuki, and the hooded girl watched from the top of the hill, their eyes widened in amazement.

Clenching the blade, Adonis slashed it to the side.

'Let's get this done.'

He dashed forward.

[Orc Smash: This skill increases all your attack powers by 200%.]

With powerful force, he collided with a gorilla, his knee striking the monster's gut.

The impact was so strong it knocked back three other gorillas behind it.

Dashing to the side, he stabbed another gorilla in the head, twisting the blade to completely damage the monster.

[You have killed two gorillas.]

He landed on the ground, right in the middle of the monsters, who were now all facing him.

The strongest had arrived.

Aregh!

They began to swarm him from all sides, their mouths open, exposing their dangerous teeth, ready to rip Adonis apart.

From the ground, dark soldiers began to manifest, holding down the gorillas to give Adonis the chance to kill them off.

And so he did, cutting off their heads one by one with the help of his soldiers, making it easier for him to eliminate the gorillas.

After a few moments of constant fighting, Adonis sat down on the dead bodies of the gorillas piled up, with blood leaking onto the ground.

In front of him stood the dark soldiers, each one waiting for their next order.

[Eliminated Gorillas: 20/20]

[You have qualified for the reward.]

Adonis sighed. 'And here I thought the gorillas were going to be difficult. I already planned on calling Filo to tag in.'

He looked at their dead bodies. 'B-ranks, huh...' he muttered.

Yuki's eyes widened in shock.

"Did he just... clear an entire group of monsters by himself?" she questioned aloud. "And how is he able to summon that many undead?"

Her questions never ended the more she watched Adonis.

Filo couldn't help but give a gentle smile. Adonis was finally strong enough to fight for himself.

He was no longer the same man who needed protection.

Click!

Adonis accepted the reward from the system.

[You have a new skill.]

[The Eye of Enoch: This skill allows you to switch positions with anything within eye range.]

[You have gained a new item.]

[Gloves of Ginao: These gloves increase your magical attack by 100%.]

Staring at the notification, Adonis couldn't help but sigh.

Not only did he notice that the more he kept fighting, the stronger he felt...

But also...

'Do I have no limit to how strong I can get?' he thought to himself.

Thinking about that was a waste of time. As long as he was getting stronger, everything else should come second.

He acquired the Gloves of Ginao and wore them.

They turned invisible, as if he had never put anything on.

[Your magic attack has increased by 100%.]

He smiled.

'Now then...'

He looked at the skill.

According to the system, he could switch positions with anything he could see within range.

New novel chapt𝒆rs are published on ƒгeewebnovёl.com.

He needed to try it on something.

Adonis looked up the hill and noticed Yuki sneaking a peek at him, as if he were some kind of ghost.

"Okay, that will do." He stood up, looking back at her.

[Eye of Enoch.]

His eyes glowed a blue light.

Ching!

He switched positions with Yuki.

Now, he was standing on top of the hill beside Filo, while Yuki was near the pile of dead gorillas, panicking since she didn't understand what had happened.

Filo was surprised for a brief moment. Then again, it was Adonis.

With a warm smile on her face, she leaned forward. "I was watching while you were fighting those monsters. You've really grown stronger, Lord Adonis."

"Lord?" Adonis raised a brow, more in shock than surprise.

"Pfft, hahaha!" Filo laughed. "You should see your face. Is it weird calling you that?"

"N... not really. I did hear guild leaders get titles and stuff." Adonis looked to the side.

"See? So there's nothing wrong with you getting one now." Filo smiled.

"I guess so."

Just then, Adonis noticed the hooded girl standing behind Filo.

'Oh, she didn't run away? In the novel, she was quite the coward at the start. Well, that was until she found her Dahestero.'

Out of nowhere, the hooded girl moved forward, her hood falling down to reveal her blade-shining hair.

Her beautiful brown eyes locked onto Adonis as she grabbed him by the hand, her face close to his.

"I knew it. You're him!" she said with seriousness.

"Eh? What are you talking about?" Adonis slightly moved his head away.

She moved even closer, making Filo panic a bit as she wanted to pull the girl away.

"You're the one I've been searching for. Adonis Heartwood. You are my Dahestero, aren't you?!" she voiced out, her eyes filled with determination.
