Re: Player-Chapter 130: [A Father!]
'And the paper memories fly in the air. So fragile, so pretty.'
…
Standing in front of each other, the trio looked at each other with a thousand emotions in their eyes.
The winds that were brushing against my face slowly calmed down. The forest turned even more silent than before. And I stood there watching the father and the daughters observing each other.
"So… this is how it is, huh?" Mumbled Yemir as a single tear fell out of his left eyes, and his right eye turned purplish a little.
-Whoosh!!!
And Leena was the first to move, while Anna began creating hundreds of fireballs in the air. It was much more than when they fought against the bandits in the town, at least 10s of times more.
-Dash!
Flaming her hand with fire, she put a huge chunk of magic in it before attacking Yemir once.
-BOOOM!!!!!
A red translucent shield appeared in between the two, protecting Yemir while harming Leena. While Anna shouted from behind…
"[Holy Rain Faire!!!!]"
It looked beautiful, but the scene was too sad. All three of them were angry… all three of them were in pain.
They all wanted to talk… but nobody wanted say a single word.
The fires landed on Yemir but the shield protected him again. Though Leena didn't dodge them as she moved for a second punch.
-Booom!!!!
And another
-BOOOM!!!
And another
-Booom!!!
And the frequency of punches increased each second until it became impossible for one to read them with their naked eyes.
Yemir stood there silently without taking any damage, both from Leena and Anna, as both the daughters tried their best to kill their father.
"I am… sorry… for being such… a… pathetic father," Yemir cried as tears of blood flowed out of his purple eyes. And the array on his back began glowing brighter.
Leena was enraged by his words.
"YOU FUCKING DON'T DESERVE TO SAY THAT TO US!!" she shouted as she hit even harder. Rage took over to her as she shouted even more,
"AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO MOTHER!!! WHAT YOU DID TO US?!! TO ANNA!!! TO ME?!!! HOW DARE YOU?!!!!"
And the echoes surrounded the forest, that slowly chipped away as I watched it burning.
The array, which was glowing at Yemir's back, tore the robes and protruded 6 giant pointed legs from Yemir's back. And then came 3 small array circles in the air behind him that levitated Yemir's body, while he stood there silently, letting it all happen.
Leena and Anna looked at Yemir with hatred instilled, while I sensed a bunch of people coming from behind.
"Is this a part of your plan?" Asked a familiar voice. And taking a peek at the back, I saw Trisha walking towards us. Beside her was Nvida, who was carefully analyzing Yemir.
"Yeah. I need him to show every bit of his power… and I also cannot let the sisters die," I told them and they nodded before we looked at the scene again.
"Can we help in any way?" Asked Nvida and I answered," on my signal each of you protects one of the sisters."
"I'll take the small one," Trisha said.
"I'll take the other one then," Nvida followed.
'If they are here, then the other Dark Mages would be in the vicinity as well,' I thought as I checked the surroundings but didn't sense anyone around here.
"I know it might sound unfair or maybe an outright lie… but I always loved you both… and Clair too," Yemir spoke as he gave a sad smile, while Leena laughed out as if she heard the worst joke ever.
"Ha! DON'T YOU FUCKNG KID WITH US!!!" She jumped at Yemir with all her might and so did I.
Nvida followed behind me as I moved at a faster rate in between the father and daughter.
-BOOM!!!!
Leena's attack was repelled by the shield and she got pushed back pretty hard.
-Slash!!!
And moving in front of Leena, I slashed down one of the attacks coming at her from Yemir's Array, before parrying the rest of the 11 in succession.
It all happened in a moment before Nvida finally reached Leena and held her in her arms, and began healing her.
[Wings of Light and Darkness!]
And I chose to levitate in the air for now, as it seemed that Yemir wanted to say something to me.
"I wonder who you are… and what do you know… and why have you done this… and what exactly do you want…" he asked a bunch of empty questions as if he was more fascinated by it than being angry with me.
"I am Adam. I know a lot. I want to know everything. And I want to protect everyone," and I answered him with all honesty as I looked at his array growing bigger and bigger.
"So you are the one, huh?" He seemed a little surprised, but not as much as the others. Though I couldn't care less.
"And how are you going to do that? After you unlocked the array, it's pretty impossible to close it, you know?" He spoke as he looked at me with slight hope.
"I will simply restart it all over until I reach the perfect ending," I answered as I looked at him and his eyes turned confused a little.
[Mana Surge!]
[Hell Flower!]
And another attack that seemed to contain mana enough to destroy the entire forest and city was thrown at me. And the white flower turned half black, absorbing all the energy from that attack.
"Such miraculous power… no wonder you were able to save the Mirage City… perhaps you can save us too then… Adam… " He seemed to be lost in thought for a long while.
It seemed as if here were thinking something deep.
Though the array was not wasting any moment as it kept getting bigger, attacking me and the forest at a much faster rate, with much stronger intensity.
And I kept absorbing them… repelling them… waiting for Yemir to speak something…
"Ah! There was that…. Adam… next time… tell me about your returning abilities and… once I doubt you…. Say that I asked you to tell me this… May the Rose Flowers be brighter than the Blue Roses," he spoke as he smiled… this time with hope.
And I wondered what he could have meant by that.
But I guess it was still better than nothing.
