Chapter 437: Extra Hand

Echo!!

The world heeded my call, a 3D model of the world a kilometer around me being submitted directly into my head.

I already knew the perpetrator; my action was merely cautionary, and considering my state, it was surprisingly easy to pull off.

A powerful tremble went through me, and as I moved to take a step, I tumbled back and had to lean on Mirah’s car for support.

"Marcus, get a grip on yourself."

The road was filled with cars, pedestrians walking by the sides. If I continued with my drama any longer, it was only a matter of time before someone noticed my state, the worst of them being Mirah.

"Marcus, you have to move," I roared in my head.

Pocketing my bloody palm, I marched away from beside the silver Camry straight into the hotel.

I kept my head bowed as I moved, my face contorted in a grimace, and quickly put myself into the elevator.

Barely restraining the groans that wanted to leave my lips, I watched the doors close, but then one idiot shoved his hand through and stopped it.

"Hello."

It was a man with black silky hair, carrying a suitcase in one hand and a bottle of juice in the other.

His smile stifled as I looked up at him, and inwardly I cursed as darkness swallowed up the light, my body falling to the ground.

.....

"What time is it?"

"9:23 p.m."

Nodding my head, I pushed myself up, Nadia to the side, quietly observing me.

"What did the doctors say?"

"Panic attack, heart attack, poison. They weren’t sure. By the time you reached the hospital, all critical symptoms had disappeared. Your body was just heavily stressed.

The doctors said you would soon be up, but they wanted to run further tests, which Miss Harther refused."

"How much does the media know?" I asked, looking around the room I was in, frowning at the sight of the white walls and floor.

"The staff was quick to call me, so I made sure everything was handled in secrecy.

I’ve already had the hospital sign an NDA.

No reporters have popped up so far."

"That’s good.

I can imagine Nicholas throwing a party if he hears I’ve begun fainting at random. He’ll think he smells blood and become a nuisance."

Standing to the side of the bed, Nadia remained silent after I was done speaking. She watched as I tested my limbs and then promptly pushed myself off the bed.

"We are leaving."

There was no argument. Nadia turned, ready to follow after me through the door, but I moved to the side and opened the windows of the room.

Fresh air blew in, and turning to Nadia, I approached and swept her off her feet.

"Sir," the young bride said in surprise.

"Want a kiss?" I offered, but her face tightened.

"Why are you carrying me?"

Seconds later, we were out the window. I couldn’t fly, so we were falling, and Nadia’s eyes bulged, her hands tightening around my neck.

Our forms shot through the air, moving like a projectile. The night made us invisible, so we left the hospital undetected.

Tap!!

Before I opened my eyes in the hospital, I already knew where I was. Quite softly, we landed in a park close to the hospital.

While I was grinning at how good I was at using the Revenger Counter, Nadia wobbled around, looking for strength in her legs.

"Tell Wanda to come pick us up from here."

"Yes, sir."

We didn’t return to Hampton Hotel. My PA had already selected a new spot—La Quinta Inn and Suites.

The corridors of the inn were lit with red light, giving the place a comfy feel, and there were already people in my suite when I walked in.

Martha was sitting on the couch with Giggs behind her when I stepped into the room, and the woman promptly stood as I approached.

Sexy as always, Denise whenever I saw her, I wondered how I still hadn’t ordered the woman to bend over so I could plow her.

Using Annie’s rump as a template, I imagined how her ass would ripple as I pounded her from behind, how her waist would feel as it curved outward...

"Should you be out of the hospital so soon?"

Grumbling under my breath, I didn’t answer the woman. I walked over and fell onto the couch, and when she tried to join me, the grace with which she bent, her exposed knees beautifully pressing together... I waved a finger for her to remain standing.

"What are you doing here?"

The frown that had been on Denise’s face changed to a smile. Picking up a cassette from the center of the table, she went to the TV on the other end of the room, putting the disc into a player.

She indicated for Giggs to leave the room as she returned to my side, and with defeat already claiming me, I watched the screen.

A video came on, one showing me coughing out blood as I collapsed to the floor. My eyes were closed, but with bloody fists I clawed at the floors and walls, groaning in pain, looking like I was on the edge of death.

Denise didn’t let the video play for long. She switched off the screen and looked down at me.

"Do you now see why I had to be here?"

I waved the woman down, my shoulders falling.

"That was from the hotel’s security cameras."

"Did the hotel cooperate?" I asked.

"I bought the hotel," Denise said, and I nodded.

"Thanks."

"Hmm, it’s always nice to hear you be grateful.

So, what happened? None of my men saw you leave the hospital."

"We jumped out the window."

Denise turned and glanced at Nadia, who was standing to the side, then looked back at me.

Only God knows what she was thinking, but she didn’t harp on the topic.

"What happened back at the hotel?

Camera footage caught you stepping out of Mirah’s car and then immediately coughing."

"Did she attack you?"

"Yes."
