Re: I must complete all my Missions-Chapter 22: What had transpired...
Chapter 22 - What had transpired...
Minxx came forward to Dimm, hugging him tightly. In Dimm's foolishness, what his sense reeled into were the boobs pressing on him.
Not until the screen materialized before him.
Ding!
Updat𝓮d from freewēbnoveℓ.com.

Dimm was still reading to understand the notifications on the screen when Minxx's voice cut through his mind.
"I didn't think you did figure it out," Minxx said, releasing herself from the embrace.
"Hmm?" Dimm didn't understand.
"We all were Players just like you and Khobba before we became NPCs. We—"
Minxx still had words in her mouth when an Elfin guard rushed into the hall, banging the huge metal door behind her.
Everybody turned in shock, as well as in need to know what was wrong.
Then with a pitched voice, the elfin guard shouted, "Ogres!"
The hall erupted in loud murmurs, as the elves present began laying their complaints and cursing through their voices, shouting the problems they have with these Ogres.
However, Dimm returned his attention to the notifications on the screen before him.
«New Feature Activated | Trust.»
Description: Your Trust feature will serve as your main determinant for building an empire. The amount of Trust SP you gain for a particular crowd will tell the service that will be offered to you by that crowd.

The hall was filled with the whispers, made by the voices of the outraged elves. Most of them swore curses upon the Ogres, while a few began to lament their various problems with these elves.
"Those filthy Ogres have started. They've crossed the line again!"
"They trampled through the West Farm. My entire crop of crimson roots was destroyed!"
"They even poisoned our water barrels last moon cycle! Are we just supposed to stand here?"
"Let us deal with them once and for all!"
The angry voices filled the air, louder by the moment. Dimm, in his infinite confusion, narrowed his eyes to observe the gathered elves mode closely.
He could see that fear and fury in them. It wasn't about a skirmish. They all sounded like the hatred was born of history.
He turned again to the translucent screen beside him, which hadn't disappeared.
«Mission 1.1: Subdue the Ogres.»
«Objective: Do not kill! | Win their trust and unite with them.»
He sighed. He thought this world he exists in was designed for war, why the challenge for peace then?
Suddenly, Minxx stepped forward.
"Enough!" she barked at the noisy crowd.
Silence followed. Her voice didn't need volume to demand obedience. She was the Queen, and holding that title for elves meant Command must be followed, and Respect must be shown.
In the silence, Minxx turned to Dimm and began narrating to him, as if presenting him the truth behind the world he had stumbled into.
"Dimm. Sorry, Leader," she began. "This world isn't just a game where you come to slay monsters or grind for power, specifically about you."
Minxx took a breath and continued. "We, the elves, and others you might meet weren't always NPCs. Like I initially said, we were once Players but something happened."
Dimm's gaze sharpened, as he continued to listen attentively.
"As Candidates, the only method of arriving in this world had been through Reincarnation. Then, we hadn't the choice to imagine what we wanted to look like, and our return to the real world was guaranteed too. Not until fake gods of the game appeared."
"Fake gods?" Dimm's mind got disconnected at this point.
"Yes. Their intervention was of destruction. The consequences led to those who survived to stay too long. Others, who lost their missions lost their purpose as well. And the game consumed them...they never made it."
"Those of us who survived these brutal gods began to lose our 'player' tag, one by one. Our minds altered, and our goals changed. We became the nature of our reincarnated beings."
Dimm nodded slowly, barely catching up with the revelations as Minxx spoke fast. He has so many questions coming up in his head, but Minxx was not done.
"Before our arrival, there were clans which existed. The clans which determined the beings we were to reincarnate into upon entrance. And this conflict we are facing now, started among the clans before any of us arrived."
"The Ogres were once known to be peacekeepers, believe it or not. But after the Fall of Korr'Tai, they changed their course."
"Fall of Korr'Tai?" Dimm interrupted Minxx.
"Yes. That's what changed the Ogres to seek to conquer and to subjugate all others. They have already clashed with three clans this cycle," Minxx explained.
"Uhm...possibly, can I get to know these seven clans?" Dimm asked.
"Yeah. Sure. Aside from the game environment you will explore, this world is made up of seven clans." Minxx said and began to enumerate.
There was the Elf Clan, known as the lovers of nature and light.
Then, the Ogre Clan, who were and have always remained brute warriors... usually said to be of the volcanic hills. That's to explain how brutal they can be.
"That's cool."
There was also the Orc Clan, the barbaric raiders. The Wyrmkin Clan, the descendants of dragons. The Duskwalkers, are known as people who live in forgotten ruins.
Then, the Beastkin Clan, half-man, half-animal tribes. Usually made up of werewolves. The Ironbound is known to be occupied by the dwarves.
All these clans used to meet in council before the disruption that had taken place centuries ago. And now, the Ogres have taken the step, mobilizing to seize all seven territories.
Dimm absorbed the names, the lore, and the burden of his mission.
"Let's go meet the Ogres," Dimm instructed, getting down the pavement. "And, on our way, you will tell me about the Fall of Korr'Tai."
