Four explosive sounds one after another. All targeted in a broad scale landed on one particular side of inn. The side where the people of the Thor academy resided. The fourth grades did manage to sense the attacks that were aimed at them and so did the elders.

They even reacted and prepared to block them.

Gungnir managed to block two attacks, while another elder that accompanied them managed to block the other two.

They looked in the direction from which the attacks came, however there is no sign of anything there. All the puppets that were there a second ago, were gone, as if they disappeared into thin air.

However, at this moment.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

A similar sequence of four attacks appeared on a different side, but all aimed at the same block of the inn. The seniors reacted by now and came out of their rooms. They levitated in the air closer to the building.

When the sensed the second wave of the attacks, their first instinct was to dodge. Because their senses screamed that the attacks are coming from something of their level.

So, they didn't make an attempt to block it, however the elders did. And they blocked it pretty easily. And this time, they managed to spot a person a few blocks away. Someone disguised very heavily. That someone was obviously suspected as the attacker.

Gungnir frowned as the attacker moved and tried to escape.

He turned to his elder and said.

"You go after him. I will stay here." Gungnir spread his divine sense without holding back. The attacker fell under his senses and from the initial sense, he is much weaker than him and the elder the accompanying him.

That was such an obvious bait. However, he doesn't want to let him go. So, he sent the assisting elder away with them, while he awaited here.

And it was a good choice.

More attacks came from different sides and he did manage to find some entities that are blurry and almost non-existent. That's because he was only able to sense them when they are attacking and the moment the attack was launched they are disappearing.

Gungnir swung his spear and destroyed every attack that was thrown at the inn. He had a frown on his face. He doesn't understand the why these attacks are coming like this. He focused more on his senses and tried to observe these attacks that are coming at him.

He also kept an eye on the Zeus academy entrance. He could see that people are coming out of the academy. The people around the area, already surrounded the inn as they witnessed this fiasco.

"You go back inside and do not come out. Take care of your juniors."

The fourth graders are already shaken. They could feel the attacks coming from all sides and each attack is very consistent with their level. They could be seriously injured and if they are not careful, they might even die right then and there.

So, this made them feel a bit flustered and tense.

They went back inside the inn and met with their juniors, they all gathered inside.

At this moment, Gungnir saw a flash from the Zeus academy. Within a second, Bloody Chariot appeared beside Gungnir as he looked into the horizon.

*SWOOSH*

He waved his hand and an attack was blocked halfway. It was no where near landing near the inn and it was already destroyed.

"What's happening?" He asked with a frown.

"You tell me, Bloody Chariot. I am under the impression that the kids from your academy might know something about this."

"Come on now, even you should underestimate the stupidity of these guys. Do you really think they would just come and do something like this out of the blue, right before the competition, when they are the obvious suspects?

Maybe if things are normal, then it could have been at least understandable with minute possibility. However, now? They are screwed out of their own asses, they are getting close to their death with every single passing second of their lives.

Why would you think, they would do something like this?"

"Then why the fuck are they not here?" Gungnir asked with a dark expression.

"Because, I told those idiots to stay in my office, when I was coming out of the academy. Because I knew that this going to be coiled around their necks no matter what happens."

"I will believe it when I see it. Thank you. But I do hope that you are right. Otherwise, I will fucking kill them."

"Yeah, right. First take care of those metal creatures."

As he said, he waved his hand. An invisible wave hit all the puppets that were attacking them. More than three dozen puppets exploded at the same time. Gungnir looked at Bloody Chariot with pursed lips.

He was able to sense them, but not clearly. He did consider them attacking them with all his might and destroy them. Even though he couldn't sense them clearly, they were close enough for him to attack them.

He was just a bit cautious about it being a trap.

After a few waves, Bloody Chariot's frown deepened and suddenly threw an attack to the ground. *SWOOSH*

A metal puppet that looked like a large earthworm sprung out of the ground and almost jumped towards the entrance of the inn. Only it was destroyed by Bloody Chariot's attack.

Before it was destroyed, it already launched a cannon beam made of earth elemental energy, which was chaotic and compact at the same time.

*BOOM*

With an explosive sound, the energy beam hit a pillar of that luxurious inn. The pillar was pulverized to dust.

The explosion caused by the destruction of the puppet, caused a huge pit that was completely full of newly made granular sand of that very floor.

*SWOOSH*

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

A wave of gungnir's spear and a streak went through the street in front of the inn. A bunch of giant mechanical earthworms appeared out of there and exploded. The whole street was destroyed. Bunch of buildings collapsed and pretty sure, someone might have been injured or dead.

The students inside started feeling scared. Even the seniors are not exactly brave right now. Their hearts are ready to get out of their chests. All of them are in a single room sensing all the conflict happening outside.

"So, any idea who could send dozens of high level puppets that could throw energy beams of various elements?" Bloody Chariot asked in a sarcastic tone.

Both of them looked towards the hub that was outside of the city.

"Do you think it is really the hub?"

"I don't know. We have to find out."

As soon as that doubt came, something else happened. Eight humanoid metal puppets, all that looked like mechas that were gifted to the students in the revived pocket dimensions. Bloody Chariot frowned, but before he could think of what these tin cans are, they all blinked and appeared within the inn compound.

The spatial blink was so precise as if there is a node marked in the inn compound.

Bloody Chariot zoomed towards them and started destroyed them. Four of them were destroyed in a blink.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Four explosions and that was followed by another one.

*BOOM*

But the fifth one was from the puppet and it destroyed the wall of the room the kids were staying in.

The wall was not just blown, it evaporated or to be precise sublimated along with that energy beam. The hole in the wall was clean as if it was cut by a piece of high precision machining equipment.

The explosion's shockwave made everyone in the room crash. The juniors felt the brunt of it, while the seniors managed to hold it in, albeit a bit more tense.

Bloody Chariot gave a gentle punch at the back of the puppet and made it fall to the ground.

At that moment…

In the corner of the room, one of the first grade student's puppet that was initially resting on the side, suddenly glowed.

Energy gathered at its beak and at that moment…

One of the fourth grade students, one that was supposed to lead the team the next day in the competition, has sensed the energy gathering. Extended his hand towards without knowing as his nerves made him go crazy.

Orange flames gathered at his palm. Even before Bloody Chariot or Gungnir could react, those orange flames were shot out towards the metal puppet. However, two first graders, a bunch of second graders, some third grades are also there.

*BOOM*

On explosion of fiery orange and Gungnir who was standing in the air almost collapsed to the ground. The next moment, all the puppets disappeared as if they are not there. The only remnant is the big humanoid puppet that Bloody Chariot captured. An eerie silence followed as the dust and smoke settled.
