Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 325: Her Death
Chapter 325: Her Death
"Hmm?" Maria tilted her head. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
Her eyes suddenly widened. "Are you serious? Come on... he’s dead. What’s the point in killing me anymore?"
"So you expected to die to Rain, but not to me?" Rael mused. "You should’ve known it was coming after I heard about your past."
"Hey..." Maria narrowed her eyes. "I thought you loved me. I thought you’d see beyond my past. What even is the point in bringing it back? Do you think the world is the same?"
Rael paused, staring at her in confusion.
What is this bitch talking about?
"Your delusions might’ve gotten a tad bit ahead of you."
"Did they? Because, for your information, I’m not planning on dying here," Maria replied sternly. All of a sudden, Jane and Julian stepped forward, their eyes unfocused.
"If you try to kill me, then I won’t hesitate to slash both their necks," she added coldly. "Tsk... if my skill wasn’t on cooldown, then I wouldn’t have to resort to this. It’s your fault."
Rael let out a sigh as he glanced at Jane and Julian.
With his Soul Reading skill, he could see that they were affected by a thin thread coming out of Maria.
Maybe I can—
"Hey... if you even try to enter that invisibility of yours, then you know what’s going to happen, right?" Maria chimed in. "Let’s just wait for those people to stand up and leave, then we’re going to get teleported back and go our separate ways, yeah?"
She let out a faint chuckle and scratched her own neck, drawing blood.
Her expression was one of obsession and betrayal, so even if Rael didn’t do anything now, he had a feeling she would still kill Jane and Julian.
So, having been left no choice, Rael decided to test his luck and speed.

Rael waited patiently, making sure not to break eye contact with Maria.
"So what happens if you survive this?" he asked. "If you kill these two, then I will kill you. If you go around the world, someone will kill you eventually as well. In the end, you will still die."
Her cheeks puffed up as she stared at him with a pouting expression. "But maybe that is the point, Rael. That’s your name, right?"
Maria grinned. "You were tough to look into, but I still managed to make out your name after trying for nearly two days straight. Too bad I can’t control you like the others."
Rael’s gaze sharpened, but before he could reply, she extended her hands into the air dramatically, her smile softening.
"If I’m going to die, then I want to die in style. I want it to be memorable, if not more memorable than the stunt I had pulled in the past... only then will I be satisfied," Maria said, her cheeks turning red. "I really wished you could’ve been there for me, but I’m used to betrayal. It’s fine, I’ll find someone else."
She shot a glance toward Julian, her smile twisting. "Maybe him? He has a pretty face, so maybe..."
With those words, she began walking toward Julian.
Rael was about to move, but she stopped him with a single finger.
That very same finger traveled to her own throat, when all of a sudden, Jane mimicked that movement, yet her finger was covered in sharp ice, meaning if it reached her throat, she’d be dead.
Jane’s finger trembled, as if she was trying to resist, but it was to no avail.
"Don’t move," Maria said once again.
This is such a pain in the ass to deal with. If I could only make my Lurking Scythe invisible, then I would be able to kill her swiftly, Rael thought, grumbling.
But that was when he heard a bell chime in his ears, and when he turned to the side, his eyes widened.
<Glass Serpent Dance (Epic) has been acquired!>

↳ Cooldown: 1 hour
This is it...
A faint grin appeared on Rael’s face as he coughed once, drawing Maria’s attention.
Then, without wasting a moment, he activated the new skill.
Immediately, it seemed like the world froze as everything slowed down to a complete halt.
Yet he soon understood why.
<Glass Serpent Dance has been triggered...>
<Select 6 points you wish to attack.>
6 points to attack? Rael mused as he imagined attacking Maria’s head.
In an instant, a single red dot appeared right in the middle of her forehead.
Aha... I see. Rael grinned, and in the next moment, selected her throat, heart, and the rest, he went straight for the head.
And once he was done, that was when time resumed as his body lunged forward, seemingly moving by itself.
Before Maria could slash Jane’s neck, Rael’s sword drove straight through her forehead, then severed her neck, and lastly, he severed her heart in two.
-21,521! x6 Critical Hit!
It all happened in the blink of an eye, and once it was finally done, she fell to the ground lifelessly.
Jane and Julian snapped out of it as they stared at the ground in shock.
Yet not even a moment later, Rael felt pain all over, as if someone was destroying his body from the inside out.
[HP -1,421! 318 / 4,930]
He staggered backward and saw Maria approach from the distance confidently.
I knew that wasn’t the end of her skill, however...
Rael glanced above her, where a single scythe hovered, and bit by bit, it approached Maria.
And just as she opened her mouth to gloat, the scythe cut vertically through her.
-45! Soul Damage Inflicted!
Since Rael realized being hit by soul damage completely disabled healing in that particular area, this was the finishing move.
No pain came for him, and as he glanced toward Maria, he saw her staring at him with a flustered look.
"Hey—"
In that very instant, she fell apart into two pieces, yet the grin tugging at her lips was still present, even in death.
That innocent expression of hers was eerie.
After all that she had done... killing innocents and sending missiles into cities, he wasn’t sure how she had the gall to smile at all.
But even so...

But as Rael was about to accept the skill, he felt another pang of pain in his abdomen, likely from Maria’s residual skill.
Yet its damage was nothing short of alarming.

<You are not going to die until your Phantom Core is destroyed!><Seek immediate healing!>
Rael grumbled as he turned toward Julian, ready to ask for some heals.
But what met him instead was beyond surprising.
...Huh?
<The Platinum Sovereign wishes to have a chat with you.>
<Do you accept?>
