I'm broke. Rael sighed before glancing toward the menu. But...

Not bad. I could've waited a day or two to get more, but I'm pretty sure I can upgrade it while I'm outside of the dungeon. Rael thought with a hum before proceeding to walk back toward the portal.

Along the way, he encountered a bunch of monsters, and just like the system had said, they did not attack him.

Near the stalactite, he spotted the Elite Monster he had purchased—the Goblin Mage—and funnily enough, it was holding a tiny wooden wand with a small blue gem embedded in it.

Nonetheless, he walked past it and arrived in the boss room.

The Mutated Goblin Rat was merely fiddling around with the mud on the ground, the green blood from earlier still present.

However, since he was no janitor, he left it be.

Protection-wise, however, he decided to sort the dungeon out a little.

Therefore, Rael walked up to each and every monster, giving them commands on where to stay. And of course, he moved the boss from the portal since it wouldn't be great if his main source of income died right as the people of this world, or the future players walked in.

After a bit of rearranging, he made sure the rats were the closest to the portal. Following that, 30 Goblin Archers and 30 Goblin Warriors were placed beside the stalactite, ready to attack.

At the very end of the dungeon cave, he placed the boss monster. Guarding it was the Goblin Mage, alongside 10 Goblin Archers and 10 Goblin Warriors.

Rael heaved a relieved sigh, finally done. Now, all that awaited him was stepping outside to face the shining, welcoming sun.

Approaching the swirling blue portal, he felt a bit uneasy, but that unease was soon replaced with excitement as Rael finally stepped through.

In an instant, his vision shifted, and he felt like he was floating for a moment.

It felt much different than it had in the game, as in Sketa Online, there was a short cutscene.

Despite feeling like he was about to throw up, Rael persevered until, eventually, the fatigue faded, followed by his vision finally restoring.

However, while he wasn't expecting a grand welcome, what he got instead was a forest, through which he couldn't even see the rays of the sun.

But he knew for a fact that it was daytime.

As for which continent or what forest he was in? No idea.

Trial and error. Though first thing's first, I need to find a city. Rael thought before picking a random direction and walking forward.

The entrance to the dungeon he had come out from looked like any ordinary tree, just slightly darker, so someone finding it was unlikely.

Rael was expecting to encounter some monsters, but even after walking for over an hour, the only thing he managed to find was a river stream.

As soon as he did, he changed direction and headed downstream.

However, even after walking for nearly six hours straight, it seemed like he wouldn't see the end of the river.

Coupled with that, he noticed the sun—which had been high in the sky just earlier—had completely disappeared.

This is too spooky. If I get ambushed, I'm fucked. Rael thought and began jogging.

But midway through his jog, a message appeared before him.

Good... I'm no longer broke. Rael let out a sigh, taking a glance at his newfound balance.

To think he would be getting this much daily was certainly unbelievable. However, Rael, of course, wanted more.

Go for it. Rael immediately agreed, and his daily earnings increased once again.

The more I can make while I'm slacking off, the happier I'll be. He hummed in satisfaction, not paying attention to where he was going.

Soon, he felt a massive breeze brush past him, causing him to halt for just a moment.

And as Rael did and glanced around, his eyes widened.

In front of him was the end of the river he had been following.

However, what truly surprised him was that instead of there being some sort of peaceful village awaiting him, he was met with a massive cliff instead.

"Fuck you, nature," Rael exclaimed and walked over to the edge, his Banana Peel boots slightly squeaking by now.

But just as he was about to go to the premium shop and toss a grenade down the cliff, he halted once again.

To his right was a wooden mountainside elevator.

And the moment he saw it, the gears inside his mind clicked as he finally realized which place this was.

Dralgur Continent, the starting continent of sorts... And I'm right next to the Ancient City, Celestara, which was built inside a massive crater... Rael thought in wonder and approached the elevator.

There was a single lever, which he swiftly pulled down.

Immediately, the mountainside elevator made its way down slowly, slightly wobbling and making Rael's fear of heights resurface.

Nonetheless, he held on, trying to recall if anything important had happened a couple of months before release.

After all, Sketa Online had released several trailers, some of which displayed this particular area.

There's nothing... It just looked cool, with a parade going on— he froze, recalling the event in greater detail.

The only reason that trailer was made was to show the coronation of a new queen, Zafira Sutekh.

She was also one of the main bosses in Sketa Online's campaign.

"My luck... It's not that shit, right?" he exclaimed to no one.

And as the elevator neared the ground, he noticed a few people scrambling to decorate the trees with all sorts of fancy ornaments.

And with that, the voice of a young girl.

—Hey, put it up properly! Miss Zafira will scold us if we mess up her coronation!

Hearing that, Rael accepted his fate, letting out a deep sigh.

I'm just an innocent pay-to-win boss... Why did I spawn next to the main boss!?
