Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 36 This Money Is the Compensation You Owe Me
Chapter 36 - 36 This Money Is the Compensation You Owe Me
Lily Turner's nearly hysterical laughter made Easton Holmes frown instantly. Why did this woman seem so abnormal?
Could she have been seriously provoked? Or was she just acting in front of him?
"Is there water in your brain?" Who mocks themselves as shameless actors? Her head must be filled with water.
"Did you fill my brain with water?" Lily countered angrily, following it with an exasperated eye roll.
"Pfft!"
Seeing Lily roll her eyes at him, Easton couldn't help but burst into laughter, and it seemed to lighten his mood considerably.
Lily was still fuming, and seeing Easton laugh at her, she didn't think to look on the bright side. She stubbornly assumed he was mocking her again and gave him another big eye roll, "Is it that funny?"
"Not just funny, but very funny." Easton reined in his laughter, but a hint of amusement still lingered at the corners of his mouth.
Lily opened her mouth to retort again, but she suddenly remembered her original purpose. She quickly swallowed her words and spoke with different intent, "I don't have time to chat with you about this, quickly convert this house into cash for me."
This time, she didn't plead with him. Her attitude was slightly firmer, perhaps because she was genuinely anxious.
Lily's repeated requests to cash out the house made Easton think there must be something suspicious about her behavior. After witnessing her bizarre reaction earlier, he was even more convinced of his judgment, "Are you really short on money?"
Isn't she currently a top-tier actress? She shouldn't be so hard up for money, right?
To ignore her pride as a woman and openly ask him, a man, for it.
This was the first time he encountered such a situation in his life; it truly opened his eyes.
"Yes! I need a lot of money right now. Please be kind and cash out this house for me. I know you're rich, and this money is just a drop in the bucket for you." Seeing that Easton seemed to show signs of relenting, Lily immediately seized the opportunity, shaking his arm with both hands, her delicate face full of pleading, "Think of it as a good deed, I would be endlessly grateful."
Lily Turner! You really are disgraceful to the core, saying things like this. This man took away your innocence, and yet you still express endless gratitude to him.
Lily's unwittingly frustrated frown didn't escape Easton's notice, but he didn't comment on it. He looked down at her calmly, "Indeed, this money is nothing to me, but I'm not a fool who gives it away freely. I won't just hand it out to anyone who asks."
He might have a lot of money, but he didn't waste it like that. If anyone could come to him for money, he might as well become an ATM.
"I'm not just anyone, and besides, I'm not asking you for money. I'm asking you to cash out this house. This money is the compensation you owe me." Lily thought Easton had already relented, but now he suddenly changed his mind again, which made her anxious. She glared at him and tried to reason with him.
