After receiving the delivery from the courier, Alice Turner got into the car. At this moment, she saw Thomas Fisher putting his phone into his pocket.

"Did you just hang up the phone?" she asked with a worried expression, looking at him who had just pocketed his phone.

Thomas Fisher reached out and took the items Alice Turner was holding. As he took them, he replied, "Don’t worry, I already hung up when you called for me."

Even though he knew exactly what she was worried about, seeing the worried look on her face still made him feel uneasy.

Alice Turner patted her chest with her uninjured hand, calming her startled heart. She wasn’t afraid that Benjamin Shaw would find out about her and Thomas Fisher, she just didn’t want him to know just yet.

If he found out now, she couldn’t predict what he would do, but it definitely wouldn’t be pleasant for her. He had repeatedly warned her to stay away from his good buddy.

Upon hearing this, Thomas Fisher couldn’t help but tilt his head and ask, "Are you very worried that Third Brother will find out about us being together?"

As soon as he asked, he saw her face turn not so good. He quickly apologized, "I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have asked you that."

He watched her intently, his face full of regret.

"I am worried about him knowing about us being together, but not for the reason you might think." Alice Turner paused for a moment, then continued, "You and he are best friends, and I don’t want anything unpleasant to happen between the two of you because of me."

Seeing the regretful expression on his face made her feel stuffy inside. Not wanting him to misunderstand or be upset, she earnestly explained her concerns.

Upon hearing Alice Turner’s explanation, Thomas Fisher adjusted his expression and seriously said to her, "There’s no need to worry about these things. Trust me, I’ll handle my relationship with Third Brother."

She and Third Brother had no feelings between them at all, so he didn’t really steal Third Brother’s lover, especially since Third Brother already had that woman named Sophie Snow.

"I trust you."

But I don’t trust him, Alice Turner mentally added. She had only recently realized how rogue Benjamin Shaw could be. He was capable of anything and could say anything unpleasant.

Without hesitation, she said she trusted herself, brightening Thomas Fisher’s mood and sweeping away his stuffiness. "Let’s not talk about this anymore. Let’s eat."

He didn’t plan to continue the previous topic with her; instead, he picked up the delivery and started eating with her.

"The large portion is yours."

Alice Turner reached out and took the smaller portion of the spicy hotpot, leaving the larger portion and the rice for Thomas Fisher.

Thomas Fisher looked at the remaining delivery in his hand and then at what Alice Turner had just taken away. "Is that little bit enough for you?"

It was evident she ordered the delivery this way deliberately, and her thoughtfulness deeply touched him and made him happy.

"It’s more than enough, hurry up and eat. Once we’re done, let’s head home." While speaking to Thomas Fisher, Alice Turner opened her lunch box and immediately began enjoying the spicy hotpot inside.

Seeing her in such a hurry, Thomas Fisher blurted out, "Why are you in such a rush to go home? It’s still early."
