Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1015: Shaner! Back to Your Senses
"Sis! Don’t worry, I’ve already talked to Easton. He’s agreed to keep your relationship with Thomas Fisher a secret."
The message came from Lily Turner. Although she had anticipated this result, Alice Turner still let out a long sigh of relief after reading it, feeling as though a stone that had been weighing on her chest had finally been lifted.
Hearing the commotion from the passenger side, Thomas Fisher turned his head and glanced over, "Who sent the message?"
Judging by her relaxed appearance, if he guessed correctly, it must have been a text from her sister.
"Lily sent it. She said your brother agreed to keep it confidential for us." Alice Turner didn’t intend to hide anything from Thomas Fisher, so she informed him honestly of the situation.
"Oh."
Thomas Fisher’s reaction was rather indifferent, without much emotional fluctuation.
Alice Turner glanced at him, puzzled, but she didn’t say anything about it. At this moment, she silently resolved in her heart to divorce Benjamin Shaw as soon as possible.
If the marriage isn’t dissolved, it’s like a ticking time bomb, which could explode at any moment. It’s better for her to resolve it before the bomb goes off.
Not hearing any movement beside her for a while, Thomas Fisher was quite puzzled and turned to look at the person beside him. Only then did he realize that Alice Turner was staring blankly at the front windshield, seemingly lost in thought.
He didn’t make a sound to disturb her thoughts; he simply took a silent glance at her and then turned his gaze back to the front of the car, focusing on driving and letting her be quietly lost in her own world.
One is daydreaming, the other is concentrating on driving; the car is very quiet, but the silence doesn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable at all.
After driving for a while longer, the car finally stopped at the riverbank.
Alice Turner was so immersed in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the car had already come to a halt.
Once Thomas Fisher had parked steadily, he leaned over to her side and waved his hand in front of her eyes, "Alice! Snap out of it!"
His voice startled her out of her reverie, and it was only then that she realized the car had stopped.
Alice Turner turned to look outside the car window and then glanced at Thomas Fisher beside her, feeling slightly embarrassed, "Haha! I didn’t even notice the car had stopped."
She hadn’t noticed when the car stopped at all. To avoid the awkwardness, she turned and opened the car door to get out.
The temperature at night was already low, and by the river, it felt even chillier.
Alice Turner felt a wave of cold air and hurriedly returned to the car. After getting in, she found Thomas Fisher still sitting as he had been, with his brow slightly furrowed, "You really have foresight, knowing it’s cold outside and staying in the car."
Seeing that he didn’t intend to get out, she suddenly felt like her intelligence was lacking—how had she not thought to do the same when it was so cold outside? It was all her own foolishness.
"Haha! Come over here, I’ll warm you up."
Thomas Fisher reached out and took hold of Alice Turner’s uninjured hand. Fortunately, her hand was not as cold as he’d anticipated.
"I can warm myself, I don’t need you, you rascal." Alice Turner withdrew her hand, placing both of her hands into her pockets. With the car heater on, she actually didn’t feel cold at all.
Seeing her like this, Thomas Fisher thought she was cold, so he leaned over to adjust the car’s air conditioning temperature a few degrees higher.
"It’s cold outside, but it’s not cold at all in here, you don’t..."
Buzz buzz buzz!
At this time, Thomas Fisher’s phone suddenly rang, abruptly interrupting Alice Turner.
