It wasn’t anything strong, just something which put him on the same playing field as Raya. After all, even if his defence had been improved by a large margin, Raya was at the end of the day a dragon. She was naturally superior to him in their natural states.

And since they were both upgraded... She still remained above him looking at him disdainfully.

It was only this dragon brat who made him understand how others felt when they looked at him with his natural gifts.
