Rabbit Must Die-Chapter 696 - 292: The World Inside the Black Demon Box_1
While talking, Qin Shou casually kicked a stone toward one side, and as a result, the stone rolled down the slope, all the way into the distance.
Qin Shou stood there, dumbfounded, then exclaimed, "Holy shit, it opened?!"
Then Qin Shou picked up another stone and threw it into the distance, and indeed, the stone broke through the spatial barrier and landed in the lava far away...
"So that’s how it is, the stone was a mechanism; pressing it opened the air barrier, and I could walk outside. It’s just that I don’t know what kind of world this is..." After speaking, Qin Shou jumped out of the Black Demon Box and walked outside, setting his foot on the earth composed of fresh blood, bones, and molten rock, feeling the ground scorching hot, enough to give even his sturdy flesh a burning sensation.
Qin Shou couldn’t help but marvel, "My goodness, if I had come out earlier, I probably would have been burnt to ashes in an instant!"
Qin Shou wandered around the vicinity for a while, and, driven by the idea of treasure hunting, casually sifted through a nearby pile of bones, and indeed he found some items. Although most were dilapidated, he found a book that still retained some of its parts.
When Qin Shou picked it up and saw it, it turned out to be a diary.
"This is not a world, it’s too crazy..."
"Who knows what else is here, everyone is dead."
"I want to get out, can somebody save me?"
"We’re all going to die, dead..."
With these few lines, Qin Shou saw excitement, fear, and despair. The person who wrote this diary was obviously excited when he first arrived here, but after the excitement, something terrifying happened, and the people around him died one after another, so he became scared. In the end, he couldn’t find his way back and was trapped here... and then he died.
Upon seeing this, Qin Shou quickly turned around to leave, deciding that there was no need to take risks in such a dangerous place.
At that moment, Qin Shou suddenly noticed, a tall shadow blocked the light behind him...
"What the hell..." Qin Shou said instinctively, and at the same time, he turned around sharply, then shouted, "Master?!"
"Hello there..." The person was none other than Master Lu, but at the moment, Master Lu had somewhat long hair, and his smile was not hearty but carried a bit of sinisterness, trickery, and madness!
Hello there, three words, as the word "there" was spoken, Master Lu suddenly turned around and swung a hammer straight at Qin Shou!
Bang!
The hammer struck Qin Shou’s forehead, and his body puffed into a cloud of black ash that dissipated.
At the same time, the Qin Shou who was sitting cross-legged outside suddenly opened his eyes, his body shaking so much that he almost tumbled headfirst off the motorcycle.
It was only because the Eight Trigrams Furnace used its magic in time to stabilize Qin Shou that he didn’t fall off.
"Rabbit, what’s wrong? Your complexion... well, it’s hard to tell, but your aura is very chaotic." The Eight Trigrams Furnace was about to say that Qin Shou’s complexion didn’t look good, but seeing Qin Shou’s white fur, he realized it didn’t sound quite right, and immediately corrected himself.
When Qin Shou heard the Eight Trigrams Furnace’s words, his mind seemed to be activated, and he suddenly came to his senses with a loud cry.
This startled the Eight Triagrams Furnace into stopping the motorcycle and asking, "Rabbit, what’s actually wrong with you?"
Qin Shou rubbed his forehead, glanced at the Eight Trigrams Furnace, then touched the Black Demon Box on his chest and said, "Ran into a bit of trouble, Cauldron..."
"Can we not use such an old-fashioned name?" the Eight Trigrams Furnace complained.
Qin Shou nodded and said, "Alright, little Eight."
The Eight Trigrams Furnace reluctantly replied, "Why do I feel it’s so odd when those words come out of your mouth? It sounded old before, and now it feels like you’re calling a grandchild? Try another one... never mind, just stick with Cauldron."
Qin Shou nodded and said, "Right, you’ve changed your name to the Eight Trigrams Pot, so I’ll call you Pot."
"Drop the ’ba’ character." said the Eight Trigrams Furnace.
Qin Shou said, "Okay, Pot, is that alright? Pot, you’ve been with the old master for so many years, have you ever seen this box?"
Qin Shou then recounted his experience inside the Black Demon Box to the Eight Trigrams Furnace and added, "I just sent my stamina and vitality in there, and it’s fine to concentrate, but it’s not durable. That guy smashed me out with a single hammer strike..."
After considering for a while, the Eight Trigrams Furnace said, "What you’re describing isn’t that strange. The world is full of wonders. Besides, the Buddhist concept includes ’a grain of sand is a world, a leaf is a Bodhi’; there’s the notion of a Buddha land in the palm; while the Daoist’s have ’a universe in the sleeve, a world within a painting.’ These are all applications of the rules between Heaven and Earth, nothing too surprising about that. Moreover, the various worlds are never independent; they rely on the support of the Main Realm, the Earthly Immortal Realm. They are either reflections or infiltrated by its powers... in any case, they all relate to the Main Realm, giving them form.
Take the moon in the well, for example; the moon reflected in the water could very well be another world, but that world also has a moon like ours, just from an opposite direction.
What you encountered might be a world akin to the moon in the well or a flower in the mirror. They are connected to our world and you might see some familiar faces, or even think of them as the same person! However, due to differences in their world, experiences, and fates, they might undergo significant changes.
Of course, that’s from the perspective of the Heavenly Dao. From a human perspective, they are two different people who just look alike."
Hearing this, Qin Shou nodded slightly and said, "Now that you’ve explained it, I kinda get it."
The Eight Trigrams Furnace chuckled and said, "Good to know, now why don’t you go and flip him over?!"
Qin Shou chuckled and said, "Right! Damn it, he hit me with a hammer, I must return the favor. Besides, I want to see what sort of ghost world that is!"
The Eight Trigrams Furnace continued to drive, saying, "Looking at the world is one thing, but you need to cultivate. Without sufficient strength, everything’s useless! Those minor worlds can’t support very powerful people; you would be invincible there. Start by practicing with the novices!"
Qin Shou too thought this was necessary, as he didn’t want to find the moon only to fail saving anyone due to lack of strength.
Opening the Black Demon Box once more, Qin Shou directly leaped into it this time.
Qin Shou was very aware of what he lacked; his power had increased too quickly, yet he had too little battle experience. This was a perfect opportunity to train and become stronger.
Just as Qin Shou was feeling pleased with himself, a large hammer came flying towards his face!
Clang!
This time, Qin Shou wasn’t reduced to ash; instead, sparks flew from his forehead!
The long-haired Lu Ban clearly didn’t expect the Rabbit’s head to be this hard and was startled himself.
In the moment he was taken aback, Qin Shou roared, transformed into a large white ape, and whipped out a golden brick to smack right onto the face of the long-haired Lu Ban!
